This is the best hotel we have ever used in Greece. Good location in Alikanas, 10 mins to the beach.
The room was excellent. Large, clean, newly furnished, good beds, a large tiled wet room, it was really good. I did hear some other guests claim that their rooms were not up to the same standard but grumbles were of a minor type, nothing major.
There is apparently an on-going refurbishment and because of this some rooms are better than others. Maid service is good with frequent towels and linen changes. Air con was 50 euros a week, safe 5 euros per week and fridge hire (if B and B) was also 5 euros per week. Fridge included in self-catering basis. No idea how good self-catering facilities are but heard no complaints from other guests.
Pool is a decent size and well equipped with sunbeds.
On site supermarket that is only slightly dearer than the ones in the town, (except cigarettes were a bit dearer).
Drinks at the pool bar were cheaper than in the town which is unusual. A family run business. And it shows! The family went out of their way to make you enjoy your stay.
Only one slight problem was the music level at the bar, a bit loud for my taste but didn't affect my sleeping etc.
Weekly BBQ that is exceptional value at 10 euro per person, mountains of good food served.
Should we go back to Zante I would have no hesitation of going to the Plessas palace again.
I would imagine that this hotel books up fairly quickly.
