Highly recommend Fuego Salsa Bar, straight across the street from hotel, also the small beach 2 mins away also. Huggins Restaurant is fantastic, we had dinner there every night as the meal were so good, and the price was very reasonable, and the toilets were spotless (which is a novelty in St Julians pubs)! Best Chinese is Jade Garden, further up the same street as Huggins. Also Memories karaoke pub, great place for enjoying yourself and making good friends. Malta people were very friendly in general, even the young people were always in good spirits and not loutish as some in other parts of the world, they all seemed very welcoming. I would go back in a minute.

The resort of St. Julians was quite busy, with good selection of bars and restaurants, found the food to be very good. There are lots of youngsters on holiday wanting to party and not many families, which was bit disappointing. The restarants and bars are mainly set away from the beach, so no sea front dining. People in Malta not the friendliest, beaches were very pretty, although we did spot a sanitary towel floating on the shore. Would definitely recommend visit to Gozo, it was beatiful, especially Sledini?, but the jeep we hired was a rust bucket, really dangerous, lights not working and kids flying around in the back, etc. Also took the bus to one resort, although not the one we wanted, driver just dropped us of where he wanted, not where we asked. There was beatiful weather, but all in all would not go back, due to unfriendliness, not much for kids to do and quality of apartments.

St Georges has recently had a man-made beach built of a reasonable size for Malta standards. As St Julians on the other slope is the centre for local teens & twenty-somethings, plus hosting many language schools etc. it is heaving by lunchtime with youngsters. There are most watersports available from the beach and surrounds. With so many treks up and down steep hills to get anywhere i'm not convinced this is a child friendly resort although it has one of the few beaches on the Island plus the nightlife is definitely geared towards teens/twentys.

The area is very new and its main feature is the award winning marina with its restaurants and other facilities. It is very close to Spinola bay which is a lovely place to eat and drink. It is also fairly close to the nightlife of Paceville if you want that sort of thing although not too close to be affected in any way as the hotel is in its own cul de sac so doesn,t have any passing tourists.

We are two couples in our early fifties we love good night life and we found bars and pubs that suited us,the resort is more geared to the younger age group but if you are young at heart you will enjoy it.The casino is worth a visit, lots of good places to eat,We went at Easter and the weather was'nt so good,we hired a car, roads are a bit dodgy but we found it easier to use the bus for visiting local places as parking in the bigger resorts was sometimes difficult in the day.

The resort was really not my cup of tea. There was no beach as it was being done up for summer 2005 and was cluttered with cranes and diggers. The entertainment was mainly for young couples or single people with no kids. There was lots to offer in the way of nightclubs.

I visited Valletta and Sliema during my stay and say if you are thinking about it then dont bother with Valletta. St Julians has a beautiful harbour but you may struggle to find it. If you go to the Hilton hotel then through it arch it is there.

The Hilton actually surrounds the harbour so head fo that and you can't go far wrong.

the resort of St Julians is a very livily place this is for the young at heart. you do not need to be very young to come here. the resort is very lively and also parts are very quite. if you do not like night life like disco and heavy music you can take a bus (just 15c into any other resorts). you do not need to go into the discos for a drink you can go to the wee small bars they have just as much intertainment for the older crowd.

I found that there are a lot of young people come to this resort but at nights it is very well policed and i found that a lot of the young people were very polite. I did not see any fights or here any abusive lanuage.

I would recomend that if you have young children this spot is not for you. teenage children would live it.

Not as bad as it was made out to be nearly never went. I think people need to go themselves and find this sort of thing out for themselves.

good relaxing resort.
