This was an ideal resort for our family as it was quiet and secluded. It was cleaned regularly each morning.

The entertainment was contained in the hotel and there is not much to do in the resort. A couple of bars and one disco, which we did not go to. There are a couple of restaurants and we would recommend the Port Balansat for great seafood.

The beach is clean and is sandy, but not a nice soft sand. The water is very clean and the bay is very sheltered so there are no real waves to speak of and it is easy to spot lots of fish.

It was fantastic for us, but if you like a lively resort with lots of bars, discos, etc. this is not the place for you.

This is a small and self contained resort with a lovely beach and safe swimming. There are caves nearby which cost 6 euros (adult) admission, they are beautiful and well worth a walk up the hill (you can get there via the hotel complex too) but beware the many steps down to them, not suitable for elderly or disabled or prams.

Good supermarket which is open for quite long hours, and sells everything from food to souvenirs of all kinds. There is also a Spar shop.

There are a few bars around, we liked the Happy Friars (out of the Club reception, turn left) which had really nice English owners who couldnt do enough for us...we fancied a sirloin steak one night and had a good one there!

There is a nightclub in the resort, we didnt try it but others said it was okay, and its open till about 4am. The only downside is there is no chemist or bank, but you can easily get a bus or taxi to San Miguel village (about 4-5 km) which has both.

Beach has good selection of watersports at reasonable prices (banana boat 3 euros if you book at hotel reception, for example). There are some nice walks around too but make sure you take water as its quite steep.

No litter, no louts or yobbos, and easy access to the hotel/club - the resort was fine for us, but if you are looking for Ibiza Uncovered you won't find it here!

Resort area very quiet, as most of entertainment takes part in local hotels.
A handful of shops and bars are down one side leading to the very clean and safe beach.
Lovely resort but not suitable if you spend most of your time away from the hotel.

The San Miguel Resort is lovely, its pretty, its clean, its small. If you want busy bars, shops, restaurants, shopping malls, then this is not for you, if you want splendid scenary, tranquility, peaceful walks with a central hotel thats all inclusive and pretty busy (with the option to find a quite bar for a peaceful drink) then this is for you.

The beach is sand and shingle but the shingle is so fine you do not notice, you can feed the fish which come right upto the shallows, my two caught fish and small crabs in there little fishing nets, oh there is jelly fish in the water at some times. There is a couple of supermarkets and souvenir shops, and restaurants.

Supermarkets sell all you need, they even sell pampers nappies but the spanish own Fixies nappies are cheaper and just as good. There is no bank or cash point in the beach resort you have to travel to san miguel town which is a 5 minute taxi drive costing 6 euros each way - although the hotel will change travellers cheques and cash.

You can walk from the hotel 8th floor reception from the hotel restaurant down the pretty hillside on the pathway (ok for pushchairs) which we did every night after dinner it takes you down to the playground (or keep going round and it will bring you to the beach) instead of just trekking through the hotel steps or lifts.

Resort small, but all you need. The train that take you on 3 hour trips are good if you wish to get out of the resort.

Good resort lovely beach, but no cashpoints for miles so make sure you have plenty of cash!

Good supermarket, sells pampers and a few english bits!

You do have to pay for sunbeds on the beach but it is worth it, works out about £3 a day per bed, which seems a lot, but the pools do get busy and its nice to have a change!

As for the resort, nothing to do, we felt trapped in that place and will definately not be returning.

Very clean no broken glass as usually found. Very clean beach, entertainment mostly hotel based with a few smaller bars.

Beach is ideal, plenty of room, seperated part for bathing and plenty of water sports. Very secluded yet plenty of things to do.
