We took our two grandaughters aged 4 and 6 years for two weeks and this Hotel was ideal. The resort is quiet and the hotel is for younger children. Any one with children over 12 years old may find its too quiet for them. From a personal point of view I would say this is not the hotel for couples holidaying alone.

The Hotel appears to be better than the Beach Club for accommodation and judging by the number of people from the Beach Club who took there meals in the Hotel restaurant and not their own, the food is better too.
From the point of view of this being a three star hotel I thought the food was excellent. There was always plenty of choice and it was replaced regularly so it was always hot.

The entertainment for children was first class as was that for adults. One very good point was an evening club four times each week from 1900 until 2100. Children can be taken for an early meal then the adults can have a meal together at their leasure.

We did not find any problem getting sun beds and they were available up to about 0930 each day before all being taken. Their were always some available at the Beach Club pool but finding shade could be a problem down there.

From a bar service point of view this was the best all inclusive hotel we have ever been to. The staff appeared to be in competion to see how fast they could serve you. They do like you to give all your order at once to speed things up.

There are only two lifts in the Hotel part of the complex and thats not realy enough. At evening meal times there can be a problem when guest from the Beach Club are coming up and the restaurant is on the 8th floor.

If like us you have young children who are falling asleep by 2100 then ask for a room between 1 and 7 on the 2nd, or 3rd floors. You can sit out on your balcony with a drink and over look the stage and entertainment. The other floors also over look the stage but they are a bit high.

Would we go again ? Yes and we intend to.

This was our first visit and it was fantastic, the best holiday we have had! This was mainly because of the brilliant hotel staff who made us feel so welcome.

The entertainment team were absolutely wonderful, hilariously funny, friendly and just really nice people. Zorro is the best entertainer we have come across, he just had us laughing all day and night...Ollie, Natasha and Stan are also absolutely great, pity Stan won't be there next year but we told Tasha, Zorro and Ollie that we wouldn

All in all an excellent holiday yet again.
In fact it justs gets better!!

We could not find fault in this hotel everything was excellent.

The rooms are a little dated but you only sleep in them so its not a big deal.

Snacks better than last time we came, there is more choice now and was always hot and freshly cooked everytime.

Late night snacks were an everyday event for my son, as he tended to struggle to find something to eat at the evening meal, but he is very fussy!!

All staff were very friendly and helpful, Jose (the barman) a little too friendly at times,:) ended up going to bed a few times without my partner Kev due to Jose and his Coco Loco's!!!! Be warned they are strong!

As for the entertainment team I am speechless, another excellent year thanks to Zorro and team.

Any man that can get 5 manly men dressed up as women for a night needs a round of applause. Kev and Mini-Me, yes you did look stunning!!!

I recommend this hotel for anyone that enjoys a great atmosphere with great staff.

Will definatly be returning in the near future.

The hotel San Miguel is a fabulous hotel for a family holiday for all ages of children toddlers to teenagers, there's plenty for them all to do in the hotel.

Hotel is very clean, staff friendly, we stayed in a 4 bed family room which was a good size with spacious wardrobe storage, extremely large balcony for the whole family to sit out and chill, TV, aircon, hairdryer, clean white bath suite, black marble vanity tops and white tiled floors and walls, very clean.

Hotel restaurant brilliant, spectactular views across the bay and hills, superb food, plenty of bars across the hotel for all inclusive drinks and ice creams and lollies.

Playground superb, entertainment by reps and hotels own in-house team was good, the kids loved the clown which was the kids show every night prior to the adult entertainment - enjoyed the shows and relaxed with a drink while the kids were entertained.

Hotel pool deck small and cramped but the club has a very spacious pool deck with fantastic free form pool with jacuzzi and frog slide in it - 2 childrens pools.

The only trouble was all the loungers had towels on them by 8am and not a person in sight! if you want a lounger get up early!!!! The lifts are slow but we had 5th floor room which was an easy walk up steps to the 8th floor restaurant or down to the beach on ground floor - I would recommend a mid floor room for this reason if you don't want to wait for lifts in busy time, mainly 5pm to 8pm.

You can use the facilities at the galeon hotel and beach club too so you have a lot of choice. out side the hotel there is not a lot, theres a couple of supermarkets selling everything a family will need so don't worry if you forget anything, I ran out of nappies - usually use pampers, I did find pamers in the supermarket but not my size but the spanish Fixies brand is just as good.

Hotel had everything you wanted on an all inc. basis. The only moan was the Western Saloon which provided burgers, chips etc.
The food was never freshly cooked and had hung around for a while. Making the burgers hard and chips cold, even after sending a burger back twice, they still didnt cook fresh...so I gave up. Please be aware of this if sending your children to get lunch by themselves.

Entertainment excellent, Kids reps fantastic, cant praise Thomson staff enough. Zorro, Ollie and the Geogeous Stan are all excellent, Boogie Nights the best entertainment ever...a night we willl not forget.. We were in the winning yellow team.

We stayed at the San Miguel Beach Club, it was so great we really did not want to come home!!! The room was very small as we had to have a cot which was at the end of our bed plus a single bed for our other son, and there was hardly anywhere to put your clothes, but it was very clean as it was cleaned everyday and we had fresh towels everyday which was great!! The food was fantastic much better than we expected, the restaurant is very small but very friendly, if you prefer something larger you can go to the hotel restaurant but it does not have such a personal touch as the club!

The entertainment is really good, kids clubs are very good and there is plenty of entertainment in the evening for the adults!

Would recommend this place its lots of fun and very friendly!!

Just returned from the holiday from hell!! After 2 weeks in this place we could not wait to get home. It was like Butlins in the Med.

The restaurant was extremely hot and undermanned with no manager. Food was extremely poor and bland, my little boy ate nothing but stale bread and butter for 2 weeks.

The rooms were grubby. Shower was like a dripping tap, the sheets changed on the bed after complaining after 9 days, no towels on 2 occasions and the aircon was rubbish.

The only good thing about this place was the entertainment. Thank god for Zorro!

We stayed in the hotel, which was clean and well maintained.

The rooms were a little on the small side for a family of four, but it was fine, as we only really used the room to shower, change and sleep, there was too much going on to want to stay in the hotel room.

The restaurant was air conditioned, so mealtimes were extremely pleasant, and the food superb (hot too!!)

The children enjoyed the entertaiment immensely, kids club was excellent, my children were proud to win various prizes.

Both Thomson and hotel staff were friendly and helpful, doing their utmost to ensure an enjoyable stay for the guests.

We enjoyed our stay so much, we have booked for next year already.

Zorro is the man entertainer he is so funny, always up for a laugh. Beach club better than the hotel for distance to the pool and beach. Hotel restaurant better than beach club.

They have a Chinese and tapas restaurant too. The local restaurants are great if you need a change. Hotel clean, staff great, room

Stayed in the Beach club spotlessly clean if you dont like to spend money the all inclusive is a must food and drink on tap,the location is brilliant just walk from your room to the glorious beach or roll out of bed into the pool,hotel staff very friendly and helpful,if its a quiet holiday your after stay at home because you wont be able to resist the tennis football shooting water polo darts boules pool canooing and too many more to mention the evening entertainment gets even better brilliant for kids zorro and his team take some beating probably why so many people come back which i will definitely be joining them.
