I read with dread some negative reports before we left. These mostly proved to be unfounded. The food was excellent and the hotel clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The entertainment for children both daytime and evening was good. The hotel reps worked very hard and some of their shows were better than the professionals.
Wasps and flies were a bit of a nuisance around the hotel and were worse over the bridge. An obnoxious smell sometimes appeared fleetingly on an evening if the wind was in a certain direction.
The restaurant was busy at certain times but staff worked hard to clear and reset tables.
I would certainly consider going again. My children thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hotel was spotleslly clean. Food was fantastic, so much variety. The location was fine and there was a free shuttle bus that took anyone to the beach everyday which was only a 5 minute cus trip. Staff were very freindly and the entertainment was brilliant and the kids loved it.

We found the Lagomonte hotel excelent. We stayed there the first two weeks in August. It was the first time we have been all inclusive and were a little concerned after reading some reports. The food was all first class and piping hot. Yes there was a lot of pork dishes on the menu, but there were also many alternatives to choose from, our 10 year old son thought it was great as he could try a little of one food and if he didn't like it, go back for something else. You would have to be a very fussy eater not to be satisfied here.
The rooms were fairly small and basic (but you don't go away to sit in your room, do you?). They were kept very clean, and the maid service made the beds every day, change of bedding 3 times a week and clean towels once a day if required. We stayed on the first floor which was fine, but some of those on the higher floors struggled with the small,and slow lifts.
The pool and surrounding area was very cleen, it was power-washed down twice a day (early morning around 6:30, and then again late at night), the main pool was a little small for the size of the hotel, and if you wanted a sunbed there was limited supply, but as we prefer the beach anyway this was not a problem. The hotel runs a shutle bus to the beach which holds around 16 people (and an area at the back of the bus for inflatables), it runs every half hour but if there was a queue the driver would return back after dropping off which took only 5 minutes.
The hotels entertainment was very good but again with only limited seats, so get down there early if you want a table.
The main shops, bars and restaurants are only a quick 5 minute walk away.
We all enjoyed our stay here and for the first time ever would have loved to have stayed longer.

After reading some of the comments left on this site we were not looking forward to this holiday - how wrong were we.
The hotel is lovely and clean and the maids do an excellent job.
The food was great even for my fussy 12 year old.
Location of the hotel was first class, 10 minute walk into town and on the way back you can call in the Jolly Roger pub - very friendly.
Hotel staff were very polite and helpful and spoke good English
The entertainment, what can I say it was great. Chris Neely and Vanessa were truley brilliant. Kids had a great time and went twice a day everyday. There was plenty of entertainment for the adults which was great fun still got the bruises from playing football.
The hotel is lovely and clean and the maids do an excellent job.

Hotel is ok, location fine. Rooms were not great but adequate.
Main problem is that kids are left to run wild whilst parents sit and drink all day and night. People in room next to us got quite upset.
Our room overlooked the staff rest area so this was in constant use all day and night but this is just luck of the draw.
Overall, a good place but we were unlucky with our room and had a distinct lack of sleep. Enjoyed the food and choice was ok.

After reading the negative reviews on this site we arrived at the Hotel with thinking this holiday maybe hell. How wrong we were!
The hotel was clean and friendly, we spent most of the days on the island with the lovely pool and happy atmosphere.
Evenings the kids loved the mini disco and we watched the varying quality but always enthusiastic entertainment, after the bingo of course. Yep steak and kidney pie is something else <quite literally> but the food was more than adequate and plenty of it with chips!
Only negative point is nothing to do with the hotel and its staff, its the good old brits. Many kids were left to run free and my 4 yr old daughter had several incidents at the play park, which was a shame.
Would we go back, yes without hesitation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at the Lagomonte hotel and will definately go back again.
The choice of food at meal times was fantastic and we were always able to find something we liked - even the children.
Our youngest didn't want to come out the pool at lunch time but we didn't have to worry about her not getting anything to eat, as we took her over to the snack bar on the island when she was hungry and she was able to get burgers and chips.
All inclusive is fantastic and we would go all inclusive again.
The entertainment at the hotel was brilliant. The reps all work very hard and we loved their tribute to Hollywood and Walt Disney. Also loved the parrot show on the Wednesday night.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotelto anyone.

our first time here and it will be our last, the food was good but there's only so much pork you can eat in a fortnight,thank god it was only a short walk to the town and a wee bit further to the beech. the place was clean the rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels and the staff were very friendly , the entertainment well if you like people dressed up mimeing to music then fine but even the kids were bored maybe thats why so many of them were acting like animals and the parents sitting back not even bothered, if i wanted a holiday like this i would have went to the zoo for the fortnight, but the thing that amused us was the way the adults qued up in the morning at 7am waiting for the sunbeds to be unlocked at 9am how sad can you get spending all that money on a holiday to stand and wait for a sunbed, one chap took 16 sunbeds in one go for his family and friends no wonder the rest of us could'nt get one i even had words with the manager on 6 occasions because it states in the hotel guide that "IT IS NOT ALLOWED TO RESERVE SUNBEDS"but it was a waste of breath the place had there money off us, i thought it was great that there was a life guard on duty at the large pool (well if you could call it large)but the only time i saw him was at the pool bar pulling pints and not just for the customers, i could go on and on but the best one i heard was that if joe bloggs off the street wanted he could pay 12 euro to the hotel and come in and eat and drink from 8am to midnight so i have been wondering why did our holiday cost over

the hotel was basic but continually cleaned the main pool was on the small side with a lack of sunbeds and many people queueing hours before they were unchained,the island was a lot better not as busy with plenty shade and the snack bar.The food was of a good standard with plenty choice but we did eat out on occasions at night for a change the bus service to the beach was regular every 30 mins with a very pleasant driver.
the only drawback of the place was that some adults were intent on drinking all day while their children ran wild especially on an evening up and down corridors on all floors while their parents did nothing(the hotel staff while friendly also tended to ignore the kids and teenagers also)my son is only 5 and we sometimes went to bed early as he was tired but on occassions we were kept awake because of this problem,we didn't stay in the hotel every night so avoided the chaos for the most part.
I wouldn't reccomend families with young children to stay here because of the unchecked rowdineess of the older ones both the problem of their parents and staff

This was the first time me and my 14 yr old daughter had been away on our own, visited Majorca and gone all inclusive.
We found the hotel very clean, the staff friendly and spoke very good English.
The food was in plenty with a good variety. The only negative side was that my daughter's a vegetarian and even the salad had either meat or fish in.
There are two pools at the hotel, one of which is on the island and ideal for someone who wants to get away from the day time entertainment. It is also less crowded and the day time snacks are served from the island.
The main pool gets very growded.
I found it hard to understand the mentality of people fighting over sunbeds and claiming more than seemed to be used.
The evening entertainment was good, but we found the hotel was pitched at families with younger children. The adult entertainment did not start until 9.30pm ish. The staff do put a lot of time and effort into the entertainment though.
The beach was within walking distance as well as the shops. We took the shuttle bus to the beach which was very clean and the driver was very friendly.
Overall, we did enjoy the holiday and would not rule out going again.
