We stayed at the Elena and although it does not look anything when you get to it inside is very nice. We had a 2 bedroomed apartment which was clean and tidy. We over looked the pool and spent many an evening just sitting on the balcony.
We would definitely go back as we all really enjoyed it.

My first reaction to the apartments was one of shock, because the entrance is in a narrow street through a small green gate, but don't let first impressions get to you. Once through the gate, it's a different story.
The apartments are clean and secure, the gates to the complex being locked every night at dusk. Don't forget your keys, or you could spend the night on the beach !
The pool bar is quite small, and there's not much in the way of entertainment, but that's not really a problem, because there's lots of bars, restaurants and clubs within a 5 minute stroll.
The apartment was clean, and we had no problems with noise, except for a couple of times with noisy guests returning to their rooms. Our 2 bedroom apartment had a fridge, TV and safety deposit box.
The reception area has a public phone, and a couple of internet access points.
All the hotels and apartments in PDC are set back off the main beach road, and this helps keep the noise down.

Arrived in darkness, had hell finding the hotel in car and gutted at initial views. Daylight much better, spacious two bed appartment, clean, good bathroom and shower, great maid service and very secure. Location ideal as base for resort and travel. Bar entertainment lousy or non exsistant with food limited.
Overall, space and cleanliness more than made up for any shortfalls.

I have been to the Elena aparts 4 times now.
They are ideally located, secure and more or less all we need.

Very clean and spacious. had 2 bed apartment for 2 people. Very close to everything. basically on top of clubs so ideal for young people. Very friendly reception man and thompson reps.. food ok from little bar but very small..pool ok but weather not too good in november!! Very secure place..need key to get into actual resort at night. Would definitely go back..Can't be beaten on location.. Abby 18

the hotel was clean but very small for 5 people 2 bedrooms double bed and the other room had 2 singles and a camp bed not enough room to put it up.the maids were very good.the food was ok the bar was very small.our room was in a good spot over looking the pool.very friendly staff.entertainment not much good but there is plenty of other places to go spoilt for choice.the beach is only across the road.mc donalds next door incase the kids don't like the food.
i would love to come again if they will have me but have a bigger room next time.

We have been to PDC many times and these are by far the worst apartments we have ever stayed in.
In our first room the bedroom overlooked the road and was extremely noisy at night. We moved to another room and despite complaining about the dilapidated and filthy fridge which had insects on the inside they did nothing but give us a fly spray. Some of the electrical fittings were hanging out the wall, complaints about this met with shrugs.
