My parents live in Spain so we meet every year in Tenerife. We already had our normal timeshare in Los Gigantes and arrived at this hotel. Staff were lovely. Mum and dad got to their room and it absolutely stunk of cigarettes, really really bad. Yes they sprayed some stuff in the room but it was revolting.
Apartments extremely small. View from mum's balcony was a disgrace. The hotel in itself is a disgrace as well. Trollies left by the walkways, the filth and grottiness of the walkways, paint off walls chipped tiles everywhere, the seats were disgusting and filthy, years of grime, there is no way you could sit on them in nice clothes.
We complained, and told them it was most certainly NOT a 4 star, I would rate it as a 2 star. I have read other reviews on up to date websites and they are not what we found there, no one in their right mind would stay here. What a complete dump, we left within the hour. The lift windows had about 30 cracks in each window; the pool area was dirty, mildew everywhere.

La Pinta is a great hotel in a very good area, with easy access to the beach.
The hotel staff all work very hard to ensure that your holiday is perfect, cleaners kept the room spotless sheets changed every other day and new towels every day.
The pool area was cleaned very well, but the only thing was if you wanted a good place by the pool you had to be there at 0830 when the sunbeds were unlocked as some people (and we all know who they are) put their towels on the beds then went away sometimes until 1530.
We did not eat at the hotel as the menu seemed to be aimed at German and Nordic tastes, also the meals in the bars and restaurants in the area were better value and more choice on offer.
Although we did not have children with us the entertainment seemed to be very good with plenty to keep them occupied.

The Hotel a La Pinta is in the perfect location for couples and families alike.
The rooms are generous and well equipped.
Excellent pool area with a first class lunch restaurant with a varied menu (excellent salad bar) and very reasonable prices.
Taxi from the airport is 20 euros and for those who do not hire a car( and at this hotel it's not a necessity) the bus stops right outside the hotel.
For self catering, there are plenty restaurants right on the doorstep, most include first class entertainment.... something for everyone.
Steps down from pool area right onto the (man-made) beach.
Brilliant selection of shops nearby, but Las Americas is only about a 15 minute walk, with lots to see along the way.
Staff at the hotel couldn't be more helpful and we've stayed often, never wanting to come home at the end of the holiday!
