I would say that if you are going to stay in La Pineda, La Estival Park is by far the best option. We went Half Board, I've never been All inclusive and expected I'd want to try different bars and restaurants in the resort but there isn't much else so we really regretted not doing it and would have saved a lot more money, having said that the beer was 2.80 euros and wine 2 E, which wasn't as much as i thought it might be.

It's facilities were vast, it was right next to the beach and shops. We used the gym once (we were half board and it cost 8 euros each) and it was very good, and they had a lovely looking indoor pool but that was 10 euros so we didn't bother.

We stayed in Hotel 1, I think because we were half board. It seemed to be 90% Russian guests, not many English but we found 3 other couples/families. And yes the bar staff were sullen and miserable. They seemed better in the other hotels and as you can use all 3- we went elsewhere.

The decor of room reminded me of an English Marriot only slightly more ough around the edges.
We requested a double bed when we booked and it was huge. The bathroom had a nice suite, a hairdryer and powerful shower over bath. The cleaners seemed to come most days and if you wanted them to clean it there was a notice you could put on the door.
The only english tv channel was CNN.
We chose not to have a safety deposit box as it was 2 Euros a day.
You could use all three pools but we preferred hotel 3s as it was a nicer design - all 3 were freezing! Plenty of sunbeds, and not many seemed to get reserved.

There was a wide choice of food at breakfast and dinner, something for everyone and you could be as healthy or unhealthy as you wanted. It was a bit of a free for all, battling with the russians to keep your place in the queue as they barged infront, so you need to keep your wits about you! There were times where the toasting bread and fruit needed to be replaced sooner than it was, and the mountain of tuna concerened me as I am sure tuna should be consumed within 3 days of opening. But all in all, as far as holiday food goes it was pretty good but I suppose it depends what you are used to.

I am not usually one for hotel entertainment anyway, but what I saw was ok, the kids stuff was particularly enthusiastic, one night there was a good band, kareoke, a magician, bingo but don't watch they're rendition of Grease - it was shocking. There wasn't much else in La Pineda so we spent most nights t the hotel and therefore should have gone All inclusive - but the AI people we met got our drinks for us!!!

When we arrived at the hotel we were told we were in no.3 which turned out to be the best.

The room wasn`t available until 2.00 but we put our cases in the luggage room & headed straight for the bar,we were all inclusive. The beer was served in plastic pint glasses which was a surprise as we usually had little plastic cups in other all inc we have stayed at.

The staff were very nice, the rooms were excellent & cleaned daily. The food was of varied choice & plentyfull, there was plenty of sun loungers aronud the pool so you didn`t have to reserve any.The entertainment was quite good with a variety of acts in each hotel kids disco in no.1 followed by bingo then a show.

The only downfall about La Pineda is there aren`t that many shops but the beach is lovely. Overall I would recommend Estival Park hotel & would go again but for 2 weeks as a week wasn`t long enough.

We stayed in Estival 2 and it was very nice, going all inclusive was a first for us and I would recommend it.

The ice-creams and lollies made our 2 children happy as you use a self serve area for quite a few drinks and ices.

Now the only thing I didn't like was the other families letting there little ones mess with the self serve, I saw one child pouring glass after glass of fanta down the sink. Now really that is ridiculous, after all it does say that children must be supervised.

The staff were pleasant and if you ask them to write phrases down for you they were only too happy too.

We just returned from our vacation at Estival Park. We stayed in the hotel and had All-Inclusive option. The hotel staff was very nice, polite, and helpful. The bar personnel was very nice too. An entertainment was fine. The beach is nice, the water is calm and warm.

But we see two major problems with this resort: the rooms do not get cleaned properly and the food is no good. The sheets were changed once in 3 days, towels were changed daily, but did not look clean. Except making up the beds and changing towels, I don't believe anything else was done. The room was not dusted, phone and TV remote control were unbelievably dirty. The bath tub, toilet, and sink were not cleaned.

The food was bad. Salads did not look appealing and fresh, fruits were not washed and some were rotten. The food was not warm. Sometimes it looked like what was not eatten during lunch, was served for dinner. The container with silverware had bread crumbs in it. The place did not look clean and food was not tasty.

The hotel was excellent, the staff were excellent in hotel 2 but in hotel 1 & 3 were very unfriendly. The food was good. The only bad part of the holiday was the entertainment much improvement need.

Went to this hotel July last year, enjoyed it so much we came back again. Not so good this time,no problems with hotel, pool area, and room.

Main issues were second-rate entertainment, much worse than last year-if you like watching people dance every night you'll be ok.Also, the attitude of the staff, particularly in restaurant-surly and unhelpful would about sum it up.If you're thinking of going on any tours arranged by first choice, think again,eg trip to bonavista market 52 euros for four people, we paid 16 euros in total on local bus(15 minute journey).

All inclusive should have included unlimited ice cream for kids, machine was working for only two of he fourteen days we were there. Only one english speaking TV channel which was CNN (last year it was BBC World-much better).Given that we were there the week we got the Olympics and the London bombings it would have been nice to know a bit more about what was going on back home.

Having said all this, we did enjoy our holiday, and would consider going back (not next year though-three years running too much!)

Could not find anything to fault this hotel.

The reception staff really patient, restaurant staff likewise.

Food very varied but there was something for everyone.

Room service excellent.

We were half board so did not really spend a lot of time watching the entertainment but with three different complexes to choose from what we did see was ok.

Did feel however that the A/I option seemed to be "the norm".

Would definitely recommend and intend to go again in the not too distant future.

While the hotel itself is lovely and the food is ok if not a little odd.

The staff were unbelivably rude. Slammed your drinks on the table, got propositioned by the barmen!!!! When we asked them anything they either grunted at us or just blantently turned their backs on us! I think they have a real problem with English people going there they are unhelpful, rude and the male staff are way too forward!

Think twice before you go.

Hotel Festival Park, la pineda. We found the hotel fairly clean and presentable, but found any member of the staff we dealt with rude e.g. bar waiters slamming drinks on the table grunts from the reception staff when any sort of request was made e.g. booking a taxi. Now as for the food we found it totally inedible and dined out all the time, I certainly would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
