We have just arrived back and wish we were still there.

On arrival at 530 am we were quickly checked in to our rooms and 10 mins later our suitcases were delivered to our rooms. After 4 hours sleep we arose for breakfast, wow! what a choice. Cereals, hot food, croissants, etc.

Staff are reasonably friendly, always cleaning up as soon as there is mess.

Entertainment is good but just about same thing with a different angle every night but the kids enjoyed it and if the kids are happy well........

Location is pretty isolated but there

We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday at Pegasos Palace, moving freely between the Pegasos Palace and Pegasos Tropical which are on the same complex.

We chose which restaurants to dine in, which pools to use, and this holiday met our expectations regarding choice, availability and cleanliness. I would disagree with Iberostar's 5 star claim though!

There is a Turkish lady who has a traditional Turkish tent structure between the two hotels near to the beach. She cooks traditional Turkish Golzeme from 11.00am until 4.00pm, you can choose from meat, cheese, chocolate sauce and many other delicious fillings. This is well worth a visit, it was never busy when we went, unlike the many pool snack bars, which is to be expected. This is also available on the all-inclusive.

We also had a fabulous meal at the on-site Steakhouse Grill, set in beautiful surroundings and highly recommended. This cost us

Had 2 week family holiday at Pegasos Palace in August. It was fantastic. Just a short journey from Dalaman Airport which was great. Saragamie is just a small village but quite nice.

The Holiday Village had everything you could want and more.

Food and drinks from 7am until 1pm.

The swimming pools were fantastic all 12 of them. Two of them had flumes which our kids loved.

The snack bars were great with plenty of salad and good choice of snacks. The restaurants had plenty of choice for lunch time and evening meal. I am fussy and every night i got something to eat. The desserts were fabulous (just ask my husband). The only thing I would say is that the dining room can get a bit crowded and you might have to wait for a table but the waiters are quick to set you up a clean table.

Entertainment was great and as we had teenagers they enjoyed the rave every night and also the entertainment in the Amphitheatre.

Security was good around the complex and we knew the kids were safe.

The rooms were beautiful and cleaned everyday and towels changed everyday.

This is definitely a family complex which we would recommend to anyone from the very youngest kid to the teenager who likes to stay out late!!. The village is only a ten minute walk away and its good on a Sunday for the market where you can haggle and its good fun.

All in all the holiday was fantastic.

This was our first time staying at the Pegasos Tropical in Sarigerme but I can definitely say that it won't be our last!

We had a fantastic time, with both adults and children catered for excellently. The daytime activities available were brilliant so that you could do as much or as little as you wanted, the same going for the children.

The food was what you would expect from an all-inclusive hotel and was varied but did get a bit monotonous after two weeks. Saying this the speciality restaurants on site were excellent, especially the Italian and made a nice change from eating at the buffet restaurant.

The rooms were kept spotless, with fresh towels placed in the bathrooms daily. The pool areas were also very clean and if accidents did happen in the pool they were dealt with quickly and efficiently! The number of sunbeds around the resort was great, along with having matresses for each one. We never had to get up to put towels out once which was a godsend as we all like our lie-ins! The towel card system was also a bonus as we didn't have to pack any beach towels so this freed up more space in our cases.

The E3 entertainment team were absolutely brilliant - I take my hat off to them for all of the hard work which they put into all of their shows. Our children loved Crowsfeet Island (although the youngest (2) wasn't sure about Goulash!)

Also, the First Choice reps were extremely helpful and were always on hand if you had any queries or to book excursions.

All in all this was the perfect family holiday for us and we can't wait to do it again.

Was very pleased with the cleanliness in this hotel was the only thing I was happy about.

Food: Diabolical, was very disappionted in the selection here

Location: in the middle of nowhere

Staff: some were very rude especially with some of the children

Entertainment: the reps did well bet some of the shows were boring

We will not visit this hotel again as we thought the food and staff were poor.

Cleanliness - hard working cleaners, waiting staff and gardeners who seem to be there 7 days a week! The hotel itself is very impressive and is geneerally very clean. The room we stayed in was clean but certainly not immaculate. On arrival there were splash marks of drinks on the bed head, make-up on the mirrors etc which were still there at the end of our 2 weeks. Rooms were "cleaned" daily (beds straightened and changed if you wished, bath, sink and loo cleaned, bins emptied and towels changed) however I'm not sure how much cleaning of the bedroom/lounge areas actually went on. Beds were generous in size however only a thin blanket which would have been a suitable size for a single bed was provided for the 6ft master bed! We ended up using the bedspread as bedding and this was not changed for the whole 2 weeks, only the sheets and blankets ever got changed. The only thing I would say is that ALL the poolsides should have been washed down daily. The main pool seemed to get done everynight but not the smaller pools and flume pool. The tiles were often slippy due to water having been sitting for several days in certain areas.

Food - we tended not to make it in time for breakfast but on the days we did there was a good selection of cooked items, friut, cereal and bread which you could toast yourself. Omlettes made to order were lovely although you did have to queue. The fresh croissants and pastries were lovely too and nobody batted an eyelid at me filling a sandwich bag with them for snacks while we went out on trips. The hotel will provide a free packed lunch if you ask in advance of going out on trips. This consisted of a cheese and salami roll, an apple, a croissant and a carton of juice. Lunch times we ate from the poolside snack bar - freshly made pizzas (yum!) and the usual burgers/fishfingers etc and chips with everything - even with a jacket potato if you didn't stop them! Evening buffet provided plenty of choice most of the time and none of us went hungry. We ate in the upstairs open-air restaurant from the 2nd night as the indoor restaurant was like a school canteen - very noisy and busy. Upstairs was far more relaxed but pack good mossie spray!

Location - yes it's quite isolated but we knew that before booking and weren't bothered - especially when the bombings happened the day before we were due to go. We certainly felt it was an advantage being in a small little known resort as it would not be an obvious target for bombs. We got out and about with no problems, taxi 7 lira into the village and we booked mudbath trip, jeep safari, trip to Ortaca market and trip to the turkish baths with the tour operators in the village. Excellent value at half the price first choice were offering and far more personal service. The jeep safari was the biggest laugh we've had in years! Just don't wear your best clothes!!

Staff - on the whole they were courteous and helpful IF you were courteous to them! The only displays of ignorant behaviour was when they were addressed by guests with bad attitudes and I can't say I blame them for being a little rude back. We were served by the same people night after night and were usually greeted with a handshake each night which was nice when you consider it's such a big hotel with lots of guests.

Entertainment - on the whole very good. The occasional cringe-worthy moment but a good effort by the E3 team. Day time activities for kids are plentiful with some activities being payable but they were worth paying for. Especially liked the comedy hypnotist and will never be able to hear the Macarana song without remembering his show again!

Other info -
1. Pack good mossie protection! We saw lots of people with nasty bites but we used boots own tropical strength (50% deet) in the pump action spray and only got 1 bite between 5 of us in 2 weeks. I was bitten 4 times on the feet and lower legs by insects during the day when I was sat by the poolside on the last day but other than that no problems.

2. The hotel photographer was great. We paid

We stayed at the Pegasus Tropical for two weeks (last week of August & first of September).

Transfer to the hotel is quick and bell boys are waiting to take your bags when you arrive which is great.

The Hotel itself is the nicest we have ever stayed in. The rooms are kept immaculate and the cleaners are fantastic. Hotel staff are literally cleaning all day.The air con is great and extremely quiet!

The pools are also the best we have ever seen. There is also a good range of pools so our 4 year old was well occupied in the childrens pool that is very shallow and equiped with mini waterslides. We didnt have any major problems getting sunbeds, but if you do want a specific location its best to get to the pool for 9am.

Our girls (4 & 7)only went to the kids club once in the daytime, simply because they prefer the pool. They did go to 3 of the evening sessions (chocolate party, cinema night and smaritie bingo), that were great and they really enjoyed them. We didnt have a problen with getting them in to the clubs either.

The entertainment was good, although some of the shows in the ampitheatre were repeated in our second week, so we went to the poolbar for the quizes and they also had a live act their too. We also went over to the Tropical one night. The entertainment is slightly cheesy - but c'mon that's what you need when you're travelling with kids.

The food was our only complaint. Breakfast was fantastic and we couldnt fault the snacks from the snack bar, especially the pizza and toasties. However, we found the evening meal terrible, we never enjoyed it once. We always found something to eat but never felt that we'd had a good meal (if that makes sense).

The AI drinks were fine - no complaints at all.

I had a turkish bath and body massage at the hotel which I highly reccomend. They also gave the girls mini turkish baths!

Shops at the hotel are overpriced and much cheaper in Sarigerme. If your looking for any jewelery go to Kings Jewelers in Sarigerme - I got some bargains and after having things valued here have paid on average half of what an item was worth. Still barter though.

The market is good for bargains, if your going for 2 weeks I'd go the first week to suss things out and buy the following week. However, it does get repetitive despite the fact that it is small compared to other markets in Turkey. This did put us off going on a 'market trip' though - why bother just to see more of the same?

We went on a day trip to the Dalyan Mud Baths & Beach. We booked with Mustafa from Sarigerme tours. It was cheaper and Mustafa is a fantastic guide. This trip was well worth the experience and the beach was fantastic.

As a whole we had an amazing holiday but this was mainly down to the fact that we made some fantastic friends (Marrows!). We wouldnt go back I dont think as we feel that holiday villages are too big, the whole place is massive and we missed friendly banter with staff etc. Further more, we had such a fantastic holiday I dont think that it would be possible to re-live such a great holiday in the same place again.

My Husband, 3 year old son and 1 year old son are just back from 2 weeks at the Pegasos Tropical (31st Aug- 15th Sept).

We found this resort immaculately clean (to look at) and staff were always tidying and cleaning which wasn't a problem for us, but some found it off-putting (why I do not know) - weather was fantastic, in the 40's every day - but mozzies are a REAL problem as this resort is built on a swamp, so beware - I am covered in spots still 10 days later.

I do not want to put this resort down in a way, as I believe it has far more plus's than negatives, but I feel I have to mention this as it can be serious and I am sure I would have wanted to know if I was going again with young kids.

My son was diagnosed with a urine infection while on day 10 of this holiday (therefore this was likely to have been picked up there) and was given antibioitics by the doctor in the resort - when we returned to the UK it still hadn't cleared so he was given a 2nd dose of a different antibiotic by our own GP. He was admitted to hospital yesterday after the 2nd lot failed to clear the infection and he has been diagnosed with E-coli - he is currently receiving tests to rule out permanent kidney damage but I have been told that without any reasonable doubt that this bug/ bacteria was alost certainly picked up on holiday and as such I am intending to contact First Choice ASAP - we were told while we were out there that they do not use Chlorine to clean any of the pools so I am curious to know how they actually keep these 'immaculate' pools clean??? I did see some staff in the pools at night with a 'hoover' type thing, presumable sccoping out all the dirt.

I would have returned to this resort when my sons were older until I found out what bateria caused my sons infection - now I am not so sure as I would be just too cautious.

Go to this resort prepared, there were a lot of ill kids out there when we were there, with one infection or another.

Stayed at the Pegasos Palace and this was our first time All Inclusive. Although we are shown as 3 adults one adult was actually my 13yr old son. This is a typical holiday compant rip off as far as I am concerned but nothing I can do about it.

The complex is only 20 minutes from the airport which is a bonus as we arrived at night on a delayed flight.

On arrival we were provided with all the necessary documentation and wrist bands etc. at first they were going to give my son an adult band but when they realised his age changed it immediately.

The complex is huge, it has numerous pools and childrens areas.

Beach towels are collected from a hut near the main pool but beware after 1000 it closes and re opens at 4pm to collect the used towels.

The pool areas are excellent there are canopies all around that do away with the need for parasols a very good idea. There appeared to be plenty of beds but as usual there were those who reserved beds and did not appear all day. Perhaps the management could strictly enforce the no reserving beds rule.

There was always plenty of food available from the snack bar, however for lunch we always used the restaurant area which did not have the queues that the snack bars had.

There was always plenty of drink available from the poolside bars and drinks were served in plastic glasses to avoid breakages and injury.

I had read bad reports from the previous year and was apprehensive however it looks as if the company running the centre has been changed to Iberostar and I have to say that they have high standards.

There were a few complaints from others regarding the surleyness of bar staff but I think that this was due to the lack of manners, a few please and thank you's went a long way.

The restaurant food was always plentiful, and my family felt that we were spoilt for choice.

We had booked a jacuzzi suite but did not really need to do so as it is only a whrlpool bath which the kids used once or twice. The room was kept spotless by the maids who worked hard, we did have to ask for a couple of towels once or twice but were provided with extra within 10 minutes or so.

The entertainment was okay the staff do work hard and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, our kids wanted to play poolside bingo each night and it was just a piece of fun as most of those taking part treated it.

A word of warning however the shops on the site are expensive the town os Sarigerme is only a 20 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride away so it's worth remembering that if you do need little extras then go into the town.

The only major complaint that I have is regarding the staff on the day of departure, unfortunately we were due to leave on the night of the security alert in the UK. We were not kept updated, a notice had been put on the board at 10 am and was not changed all day. We were continually told that they had no new information regarding our flight delays etc. I had to telephone Cardiff Airport and was told of all the details of my flight which fortunately was on time. If I could do this why could not the reps who simply hid in the staff room until well after our coach had arrived and another rep who had traveeled from the airport had to search for them.

All that being said we did not let it spoil our holiday and are going back next year.

Arrived back on 31st July and had a great time. Hotel was the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. Everywhere was spotless, if anything was spilled it was cleaned up within minutes. Rooms were spotless, bed linen and towels changed as often as you wanted. We had a Select room which meant that my husband and I had a large room with jacuzzi bathroom, and our 13year old daughter had one exactly the same with interconnecting door. Great! Gardens and walkways all well looked and looked beautiful.

Food was good with lots of choice, especially at lunch times, with fresh pizza constantly cooked at the pool bar - fantastic. We tried the waiter service restaurants - Asian, Turkish and Italian - all excellent. Had been told that service was slow but we booked for 8.00 and were out by 9.30. Food very good and waiters really nice.

Only one star for the location as there is literally nothing outside the hotel and the nearest village is a taxi ride away (about 5 mins so you could walk!). Also beach not very good and not suitable for young children to swim, so if you are looking for a beach holiday this probably isn't the place for you.

All the hotel staff were very pleasant and polite and could not do enough to help.

Entertainment Team did a great job and were much better than other hotels we have stayed in. Amphitheatre got a bit uncomfortable to sit in, but the shows were very good. Also did quizzes etc around the pool bar, all well run and good fun.

Only reason I would not visit again is that we never revisit places, and also I would have liked a bit more Turkish atmosphere and would like to have been nearer the village.
