Disabled Person Holiday Discussions

Are you disabled or know someone who is? What are your experiences of hotels and resorts as a disabled person?

My husband is a full time wheelchair user and we have been going to the
Mar y Sol in los cristianos for the last 4 years. It is up a steepish hill but if you have someone to push its not too bad. Also you can make it easier by going a longer way round. Once you are down the hill everything is flat.
we have found quite a lot of good restaurants in los cristianos and nothing is too much trouble regarding moving tables etc.
The Mar y Sol is a purpose built hotel for disabled people and so everything you need is a hand, roll-in-showers etc. We have had some go
od holidays here and met some lovely people.

Hi just seen your post, have you got sorted yet,?
Many of the hotels are very accessable to wheelchair users, I often use the Noelia Sur or the Hotel Conquistador for my clients, I have been told this week that Parque de la Paz have great wheelchair friendly apartments

Be aware going to specialist disabled apartments some tend to rip you off, if you find a good one would you let me know so I can add it to my ever growing list
