Pernera is very clean - with plenty of bars and restaurants with some of them offering entertainment. There are two small bay areas - quite which are adequate if you don't want to walk the 15/20 minutes onto Protaras beach. We would defintitely go back to this area.

The resort of Protarus is just a 15min walk along the coastline and has all the watersports that you could think of and many varied boat trips. It has 2 crazy golf courses, a great waterpark,many differant theme pubs and resturants all to excellant standards and cleanliness. The shops vary from supermarkets to gift shops to designer jewellery to everything you could need. The prices are very competitive and therefore you get good value. The area is supported by a very good taxi service.

Resort extremely clean and very good beach. we did not avail of the entertainment as we were staying further out and had to drive. The restaurants were fabulous and very popular, the Corner restaurant and Andama are worth a visit. The Blue Spice near the Apts had very good food also try the Evandra.

Pernera is a small area but has a few good bars, restaraunts and the usual souvenier shops. The italian and grill restaraunt towards the beach is especially good.
Protaras is a short walk or taxi away and is much bigger. Loads of bars, restaraunts, shops and clubs.
Try Anatolias Restaraunt for an excellent meal and a really friendly service, all the females are given a rose which is nice.

The resort was mainly closed for the winter - why have the hotels open when 90% of the bars and restaurants were closed?
Protaras itself was ok but we were situated out of protaras with not a lot to do.

The resort certainly caters for the English, plenty of fast food restaurants and English bars. I feel the area has lost the Cypriot touch.

The cleanliness of this resort and of all of Cyprus is fantastic. Pernera, Protaras is our favourite part of this island and we know why it is called the island of love. The people all over the island are particularly friendly and helpful. We loved the beach at this resort it wasn't too crowded and we didn't feel like the usual sardines. It was well supervised. 2006 will be the sixth year that we have visited Pernera. Protaras and hopefully 2007, maybe we will just not go back home.

Lovley family resort something for everyone. Beaches are great can always get a sunbed anytime of day I have been nine times now, and would love to move there one day, as my brother in law already has he runs stonehenge bar in protaras high street.

Our resort was excellent.
Although we are a young couple but we did not fancy Ayia Napa so chose Protaras and would recommend the Pernera area to anyone. All facilities are excellent with a beautiful peaceful beach.
There are so many beautiful restaurants to chose from and various bars. We found one Elvis impersonator (there are lots but we love Elvis) who was absolutely fantastic, very funny with an amazing voice and I would recommend anyone visiting Protaras to go and see Matt Craig as Elvis.

We have visited Protaras for 8 years now and have noticed a change particularly in the entertainment.If Elvis is your thing then book this resort pronto!
At times it was like groundhog day-this is not a bad thing just not our preference.We ate out at some of our favourite restaurants-Cultura del Gusto opposite Seagulls apts is a must as well as Sizzlers and the chinese Komfoukious.
We also visited Fresh house and must say that you could eat your meal off the floor-well impressive and recommended!! The beaches are lovely though the sea is a little rocky in Pernera but not a big problem. There is a lot of building work getting ready to start in the area too and alot has been completed.
The resort is coping at the moment but I wonder if it is big enough in the long run. All in all a beautiful area and wonderful people,time will tell.
