This was a lovely hotel and we really enjoyed our stay there. The rooms are extremely clean and you get 2 big bottles of water every day. The cleaners make lovely things out of the towels for you as well!

The food was also very good - lots of choice and all very fresh. The pizzas and pasta are really nice and prepared infront of you.

The staff are extremely friendly, happy and very funny. They cannot do enough to help you.

The only downfall we felt was the entertainment. Most nights it was an awful duo who sung until about midnight. Some people did seem to enjoy it and were dancing a lot. We are both musical and have higher expectations of the enterainment!

The only other little thing was that we found a lot of the all inclusive spirits tasted of tequila!

The pool is great and the beach is lovely, especially for snorkelling. We saw some great fish and they come up very close to you.

We'd difinitely go back!

The hotel was lovely and clean, especially the rooms.

The room maid made our room immaculate each day. The children especially like the towels left in various shapes/characters on our beds each morning.

The food was pretty much the same and we found we got fed up of eating the same thing each night.

The hotel is quite far from any sort of other resort.
Not very many places to take a stroll.

We went in August and it was too hot to walk far anyway.

The hotel staff were great. They love children. Our youngest was a bit too shy for all the attention.

The children thought the entertainment was good and this is the only place we have been where they actually wanted to return to the kids club.

All the adults had the terrible "trots" (no sickness though).I never left my room for one day though (or should I say the toilet) It might have been the different food we sampled. We never drank that much to be honest. 2-4 drinks per night if that. A few people have said since we returned that it is what is expected when going to Egypt????? Your body is not used to all the foreign germs??

The alcohol was fine. Our men loved the beer. We drank the wine and sampled the cocktails.

It was a very bust time of year to go though. Not enough chairs to sit on in the evening by the pool bar. Some nights we sat on a wall even. If you ventured down to the beach bar where the entertainment was it was the same problem, not enough chairs.

We went with another family and some nights we could not sit together in the restaurant as they were not enough tables free that seated us all together.

The food upstairs was not up to much. Some of the food servers were either empty or cold. The food downstairs at the pizza/pasta restaurant was much better, it

The hotel was quite clean and the rooms are cleaned regularly.

The cleaning staff are excellent but the reception staff couldn't help you one bit, useless.

The food was terrible except for the pizza's at night.

There is also a man who sells newspapers round the pool and wants 50 egypt pounds (

Excellent holiday. Cannot fault the hotel staff in anyway (except 1 particlar drama king receptionist).

Best holiday I have ever had (so far)!

Only bad point was rooms ar enot big enough for 3 adults. Would recommend you upgrade to a suite if you are 3 adults. Standard rooms ahve 2 single beds & they will supply you with a camp bed only.

The hotel area is quite hilly & lots of steps to the beach. Hard work in the hot weather but there is a bar at the bottom & the top to quench yourself!

Snorkelling is second to none and the sea is nice & warm this time of year.

Am hopefully going back in October

The hotel is very clean, the staff very hardworking and courteous.

The three main drawbacks are all the sunbeds by seven in the morning have towels on.

More than half the people including three of our party had stomach probelms, the entertainment really is poor considering the hotel is pretty isolated.

Naama bay is well worth a visit providing you can leave the confines of the loos.

Hilton Sharks Bay is a fantastic hotel, very clean with hard-working staff. We quite liked the fact it wanst in the heart of Naama Bay as it was quiet and the shuttle bus was cheap! The pool area is fab and we didnt have probs finding beds...there was plenty for children (although we didnt take any) and there was a variety of daytime entertainment around the pool. The staff were brill, very chatty and helful, they never asked nor expected a tip...we did of course tip on our departure.

The food was pretty good, good selection to chose from, the poolside egyptian night seemed to go down well too. the beach was good, not very child friendly though, little shade and the stairs are quite steep but the water was fantastic, there were some amazing fish!

there is very little to complain about for this hotel, it was pretty much as we wanted...shopping wasnt great but hey you cant have everyting.

Have just returned from this fantastic resort & hotel. Food is fantastic and plentful, you will need a diet on return. Weather was boiling, 40+ everyday. The diving is wonderful so much to see, dive club on site with very helpful staff. All the staff at the hotel were exteremly helpful and friendly. We saw dolphins in the bay on our last day, which was wonderful. Visited Cairo and saw the pyramids which is something truly amazing and well worth the early sart and long day that is involved. Just wish that I had been there for longer.

I have just returned 10th May 2004 from my 1 week holiday stay at the Hilton Sharks Bay Hotel, and would like to add my own report for those who may be staying there in the future.

I haven't visted Egypt before and was a bit unsure what to expect, but from the moment I stepped foot there I knew I had made the right chose. The service from everyone cannot be questioned and they work so hard to make your holiday pleasant and enjoyable. (the waiter staff work the breakfast, lunch and dinner shift 7 days a week) The rooms are cleaned to a high standard everyday, and if you are lucky they make animals out of your towels and put them on your bed, I had a camel and crocodile!

The food is OK if you go for the buffet all the time, but try the set menu, it changes everyday and is well cooked. Ask for Mishal if he's working, he along with the rest of the waiter staff are very helpful, and will even bring a pizza or another main course if you are not full at the end of your meal!

The rooms do have coffee and tea making facilities and there are no reasons to bring kettle leads. You may want to take a travel plug, but the power is the same as the UK.

If you want to use the gym, and speaking from a Personal Trainer point of you It has everything for a full body workout with desent weights both machine and free weights (Dumbells went up to 55lbs), only have 1 treadmill and 1 bike though.

It is advisable to take some Diocalm or similar product as this is a common problem within all the hotels in the sharm area.

Temperatures where about 30 degrees at 9:00 in the morning and went up to 44 degrees, so pack a good sun protector and after sun!

The snorkling is absolutely excellent and is worth buying your own gear, although you can hire at the beach, or buy in Sharm. If your lucky a new arrival to the bay is a dolphin which loves to play with the swimmers. One day he arrived at 12:00 and left at 19:00. I brought a water proof disposable camera from Boots and the pictures have turned out really well.

Regarding the tipping situation, you will get alot of people trying it on at the airport, even to use the toilet. Stand strong and find your rep and they will guide you to your bus. No hassle within the hotel, but if you do tip early it is worth while, but no pressure if you don't.

There is a bus from the hotel which takes you to sharm and well worth visiting at night, many major names are there, including Hard Rock Cafe, and must I say it KFC and MacDonalds. However there is so many places to eat and very cheaply too, I had a chinese one night, set meal for

Hilton Sharks Bay

I had previously visited this hotel in Jan 2003 when it had been opened only a few months. The cleanliness, the reception and the staff cannot be faulted. The food was very good, especially the lunches when you can sit outside where they have a barbecue and kebabs, or pasta/pizza dishes from the inside (Italian). The entertainment is not up to much especially when compared to all inclusives in the Caribbean - but I knew that before I returned there. The snorkelling is fantastic (according to my husband and everyone else). The alcoholic drinks are not the best. If you want, say, Bacardi then take your own off the plane. The hotel bus takes you to Naama Bay for

We stayed at the Hilton for a weeks break and had a wonderful time.
The staff will do anything to help you and work very long hard days.

The sea is warm and the fish are fantastic.
A baby dolphin came into the cove and played with the swimmers which was amazing .

The hotel entertainment was o.k but didnt really interest us as it was very child orientated and basic.

If you are looking to shop for anything beware of hotel prices as they are rather high compared to outside.

Expect to get an upset tummy as everyone we spoke to had been ill at some point during their stay.
I was violently sick for 2 days with tummy troubles aswell. Apparently the germs travel around on the money so wash your hands often especially after shopping.

The food in the hotel was fine.
There was plenty to go around except for the icecream during the day when it is gone within about 2 minutes of it being put out.

There didnt seem to be enough sunbeds which is the same wherever you go and it was especially worrying for people like me who burn easily or those with kids.
People leave towels on them and go out all day which is selfish, so we suggest moving the towels until someone comes back to them. It always worked for us as most times no one did come back.

All round excellent service.
