My wife and I found as usual that it was clean and tidy as far as entertainment is concerned. There was a different artist to see every night and they were pretty good, we would not hesitate to return in the words of arnie! We shall return.

St.Pauls Bay is a very clean resort, however there are no sandy beaches. There seemed to be entertainment to suit all tastes depending on the area you visited.

the promanade & the square where clean but as with many resorts the back streets not so,further down st pauls bay was beautiful with rock pools & fantastic views.
the square had lots of restaurants with good value wine & food, timeshare reps are a pain though be careful and try to avoid them,we saw a couple wearing badges saying we are not interested in timeshare (good idea)

The side streets are not very well made and negotiating the holes and bumps is a trial in it's self!Get down to the seafront and everything changes with a well made clean promenade which invites you to make the walk all tne way to Qawra or the other way to the tower. There are several refrehment stops along the way.

The resort has no beach, hence the low score, just sunbathing rocks which don't look very comfortable!
Early April and the resort was quiet with only a few places providing entertainment in the evening .

The resort is well situated for going out sightseeing and has good bus connections.

There was a lot of building work going on everywhere on the island but generally I would say it was clean. There is no beach at Buggiba but there is one a bit further away. The closest sea area is rocky. Out of season i didnt expect a lot but most of the tourist shops were open and most of the bars/restaurants were also open. There were also a few people about driving and walking trying to get you to look at the timeshare places but were ok once you told them you were not interested.

We found there was a lot of dog excrement on the streets and the beaches were quite littered with rubbish.

There were a few pubs and bars with entertainment if you hunted for them, but it was of mixed quality.

The thing that spoilt this resort for us was the continous harassment from timeshare reps. In a 2 hour period walking in the Bugibba, Qawra and St. Pauls area we were approached 15-20 times both on foot and in cars. Politely declining was to no avail, ignoring them resulted in us being called ignorant and rude, and more assertively declining resulted in us being told we had an attitude problem and being threatened with even more harassment.

This spoilt what was otherwise an enjoyable holiday and made us reluctant to leave our hotel at times.

The resort of Bugibba dosen't have a beach but does have plenty of areas for swimming. We didn't go swimming because the weather was not suitable. There are plenty of bars and cafes. It's quite easy walking from one end of the resort to the other, that is from St Pauls Bay to Qwara. There where trips laid on via the rep and also the locals where running trips more or less the same as the reps. We went on the 'official' trips and found them mainly benificial.Unfortunately the buses where on strike when we arrived so we were unable to test them out.

A beautiful resort with very friendly people. Local food and wines superb.
Transport system to be seen to be believed! Immaculate 1920s buses and anywhere for less that 50p. Service every 10 minutes to antwhere, even on Christmas day.
Valetta taked days to discover - marvelous.

I found that the resort, in fact all of Malta had cleaned up it streets since my 200/5 visit, i hope it stays that way for my 2006/7 return
Hotel entertainment geared for older people this time of year, as are all the bars in the area, but there is someting on everynight if you want it. Disco's, night clubs, are all in Paceville for the younger traveller. The Hotel Disco only ever gets filled up with locals Xmas and New Year.
Not much sand here, in fact very little sandy beach in all of Malta, all volcanic rock.

We loved Malta, it is overall quite clean. At the time of year there only seemed to be Karaoke bars but this quite suited us. There are no beaches as such because most are rocky, however the only sandy beach (Mellehia Bay) was lovely. We will definitely be visiting Malta (Bugibba)again.
