We stayed here in August this year and have just returned. It is honestly the best holiday we have ever had and the hotel is fantastic. It is so clean we even saw a cleaner cleaning the grout between the tiles with a scraper. If ever there was a spillage - with my 2 kids quite frequent - there was someone over to clean within 5 minutes.

I speak Spanish so I found most of the hotel staff to be very nice but my partner found a few to be a bit terse.

The location was fine - only a 10 minute walk to the fantastic beach at C'an Picafort. The entertainment was ok - they try very hard - the acts brought in from outside are excellent.

We would definitely visit again.

Just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks at the Holiday Village Viva.

The hotel had everything you could wish for. We travelled with our 2 young girls Ellen aged 6 and Anna who is 18 months old and they were so well catered for.

Our room was very spacious and they had a high chair, cot, bottle warmer, baby bath, everything you needed for an infant in the room on our arrival. The whole place is immaculately clean; I've never seen so many cleaners about the place from morning till night. It

Just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel and we had a fabulous time. We visited this hotel in August last year and decided to visit again as we knew what to expect.

The hotel is constantly being cleaned and the cleaners have a very tough job trying to keep on top of the mess created by some of the hotel guests, however, they seem to cope well and are still cleaning at 11pm at night.

There is a great variety of food available every day and once a week they have a themed mexican evening and a themed spanish night. The hotel also has an Italian and Caribbean restaurant which are included in your stay, but you have to book. The food at both is very similar to the food in the main restaurant but the food is served to you by the waiters and at the caribbean, you sit on the terrace overlooking the pool to eat which is very pleasant.

The staff in the hotel are very friendly and efficient. The staff at reception speak very good english and are always willing to help. The staff in the bars will take the time to chat if they are not busy, but they make serving customers their number one priority.

Entertainment is mainly provided by the resident entertainment team although they sometimes bring in acts from outside the hotel.

Our 9 year old son made full use of the Wavelength Kids Club which is for 9 - 15 years olds. The club is available for 90 minutes every morning and every afternoon and for 2 hours every evening. There are also various other activity sessions provided throughout the day which children from as young as 6 can attend, consequently we only really saw our son at mealtimes. All of the Wavelength staff are great with kids especially James, Paul, Greg and Harry.

All in all we had a great holiday and would not hesitate to visit this hotel again.

Just returned from a wonderful 10 days at the Village Viva. Second visit to this hotel and again excellent.

Unfortunately we have just found a large unrecognised transaction on our credit card statement, we only used our card to book trips with the 1st choice reps, so very disappointed to find out that someone is trying to obtain money in this way!!

But apart from that brill, just need to sort out the sunbed situation. Trying the village in the Costa Del Sol next year, hope its as good!!

The week previous we had spent on the Island Star so the Viva had a tall order to follow especially with food.

My children are aged nearly 16 and 8. The hotel is more for younger families but having said that it is the best family hotel we have stayed in. The whole place was spotless - cleaning was constant (shame some holidaymakers can't pick up the unnecessary mess they leave under sunbeds - not too much to ask)

The food was varied and very good. We thought the Italian Restaurant was excellent. The Caribbean not so good but the ambiance and the service was great.

The only thing that I would criticise would be the Entertainment in the evenings this in our opinion was very poor. But to be fair it is very difficult when there are so many children to pitch the entertaining to both adult and children - and they did their best.

C'an Picafort - not impressed - cross between Weston Super Mare & Blackpool

I would definitely recommend this complex to young families, I doubt very much that you will find better.

I will start of on a few negatives first, get them out of the way!We went to the holiday village on a self catering basis which personally I dont think works here, they would be better to just make it all inclusive.

We arrived to be told we could not pay for anything by cash and would have to set up an account by leaving a photo copy of our credit card or one hundred euros deposit and the bill would be settled at the end of the holiday.

We could use all the facilities and bars and restaurants the same as everyone else but I must say I was pleased by the looking at the food I was pleased we ate out every night.

The lunch time snacks which consisted of either 5 cold chips with either pizza, hot dog etc were certainly not worth the money at all,and the little plastic cups with either beer or soft drinks to my mind was not good enough when you are paying full price for them,my last moan is about the sunbeds, not enough to go round, when you have greedy people reserving 4 or 5 at a time anyway! We thought it would be a good idea for the hotel to allocate 2 each with your room then if there are any left over they could be shared out,it would stop people queuing up at 8 in the morning or worse still being involved in a punch up which happened a few times we had heard!!Anyway thats my negatives now the positives-

Pool-lifeguards present from 9am-7pm every day,
immaculately clean, one side of the pool only 100m deep which was ideal for an average 8 year old upwards to be able to touch the bottom should they need to.The other side was only 50m deeper than that.
There was a splash park too which was great fun.My 5 year old loved it and me too!

Apartments-Immaculate,maids did a fantastic job, they were roomy, modern, two showers in the bathroom.

Facilities-There is everything for children, nothing was left out, there were soccer schoools, stagecoach acting, swimming lessons and fantastic kids clubs, brilliant.

Entertainment-We came back to the village for a couple of drinks to finish our evening off but the entertainment we saw was very good and there was something for all age groups.

I think that covers everything, apart from may I add that I needed a doctor whilst I was out there and there was an english speaking one with me within half an hour of telling the rep, this I also found very reassuring.

Last but not least may I compliment all the reps in this complex, they were pleasant and helpful at all times.

When we arrived at the hotel we were tired and weary,so we were very excited to see that it looked exactly as it had on the photos in the brochures.

Reception area was very airy and clean and the Reception staff were professional and had good English.

The apartment was a standard holiday apartment,we certainly didn't think it had any wow factor.
Good size with a separate bath and shower cubicle, but having spent alot of money to stay here for the week we wouldn't expect any less.

While we were there bedclothes were changed once and the maid cleaned 3 or 4 days.We thought the cleaning was very quick but certainly not thorough.

We went to the buffet restaurant for dinner that evening and shock is the only word I can use.
Children everywhere, picking up food throwing it back, running their hands along the stacks of plates.
We just didn't know where to start or end with this buffet.
People seemed to be piling every kind of food on top of each other, whether it went together or not.
Pretty disgusting.

There were children running eveywhere in this complex. Our 3 year old just sat and watched in amazment.Parents sit, have a drink and chill while the kids run riot.I was upset and disappointed on that first night and in truth was very near to leaving.

Breakfast the next morning was worse. Our little girl will eat absolutely anything that we eat but there was no way she'd eat anything on that buffet. So from there on we ate in C'an Picafort.

We didn't use the creche facility, as our child is in a creche all week every week and this is meant to be a family holiday!

We also had huge problems with noise during our stay, despite asking for a ground floor, quiet apartment we were put in a middle floor apartment in block 4.
The first night I rang reception and was told there was only one person working that night so they couldn't do anything until the morning.
In the morning the excuse was made that it was people moving out upstairs. The next two nights were quiet enough after 1.30, but after that we had a "lovely" couple and their children move in who dragged furniture around until 2 in the morning and then because the balcony lights go out at 1.30 they decided to take a lamp out of the room for the balcony and sit talking til 3 a.m.
Security did come the following night and sorted them out so we were grateful for that.

I hate to sound so negative about the whole experience,it is a lovely complex and very well maintained and the reps are very friendly and helpful. But we honestly found the amount of children and the behaviour of the adults very off putting.

If you want to stay somewhere quiet and peaceful with good food and entertainment don't stay at Holdiay Village Viva.
Wall to Wall noise is an excellent description.

We arrived home yesterday from a weeks stay and wished we had been there for two! Our kids are 3 and 1 and we all had a fantastic time.

The apartment was great very spacious and clean, the kitchen was adequate for your needs.

The pools were great and even though the hotel was busy they never appeared overcrowded. I wouldn't say there was a problem with sun beds just parasols! it is rather amusing from 7.30am to see people guarding a parasol until the beds are unlocked at 8.30am.

The restaurant wasn't my cup of tea very much of a muchness and very rarely any vegetables but you wouldn't starve.
Snack bar was good with choice of salads, chips, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, ice cream, cakes and fruit.

Kids clubs and cr

We arrived at Viva at 8pm were checked in quickly (even managed to change floor we were on) and still managed to get into the restaurant in time for dinner.

First few days we had to find our feet and get to grips with what was happening and where, make sure you go to welcome meeting!

We found the staff to be very friendly and could n't do enough for you. First choice reps were fab. Kids cubs were great our 3 year old went to the 2.30 one and sometimes to the 9pm one which was great if he was tired he would fall asleep and we would collect him at 11pm.

The entertainment was first class all the family enjoyed it including our 8 year old who often ended up on stage despite being shy! We were there for 2 weeks and only 1 show was repeated which was n't a problem.

The hotel was spotless and everywhere you looked there were staff cleaning, the baby pool gets emptied every night. The only let down was people leaving their mess around the pool but that problem was down to them being too lazy to visit the many bins. The pool area was always spick and span every morning.

The food was varied and to suit almost everyone including vegetarians (which non of us are but people we met were).

We would definately visit Viva again.
