We stayed in the Llebieg end of the complex opposite the Las Dunas bar (there was some loudish music from here till about 11pm but we didn't mind this as we liked sitting out listening to/watching it on the terrace). First impressions of the apartment was good, lovely large terrace (we were ground floor) spacious apartment and good kitchen and bathroom. Air conditioning was provided too. A modern TV had a few english channels on and the kids enjoyed watching The Simpsons in german! The water can get very hot so be careful.

The cleaning lady was very friendly and came about 3 times in the week. She came about 10:30am so not too early to get up! The location of the complex was excellent. You cross a quiet road and join onto the promenade which has wooden bridges to the gorgeous sandy beach.

The entertainment was held at the Las Dunas bar over the road. It has an open air section and a stage where the mini disco was held every night at 8:30pm. The kids loved it. Then, there was often an act of some sort on but we usually headed home fairly early after the disco. They have a mini golf course and also a tennis court next to Las Dunas.

The pools (there are 2) were a fair size and we had no trouble getting a sunbed when we went. There is a bar by each pool but we didn't use them. There are also two childrens play areas in the complex and lots of garden space to play ball games etc. The place seemed very well maintained and there were always maintenence people around. Check in/out was very quick and easy and very friendly staff.

The free kids club ran a list system and you had to put your childs name on the list the day before. Alot of the time it was full but we managed to book two sessions out of the week so at least they did something. The place also runs a pony club which we didn't visit but the prices seemed quite good for short rides for the kids.

We had a lovely week here and had no problems with ants or mozzies at all (we took a plug just in case)

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Mestral and Llebeig Appartments. Weather superb, appartments ok though view very disappointing as we were on the main road facing the car hire shop so didn't really feel like sitting out at night. Also we chose this holiday because we felt that our 4 year old would welcome the kids club some days. Again disappointing as there are only 15 places available per session for the whole complex. Whenever I ventured down to reception the day before the list would be full so there wasn't really any kids club as such. Having said that the numerous parks dotted around the resort were fantastic and were also great for our 20 month old.
Getting a sunbed was a nightmare! I took it in turns with my husband to go down to the pool for an hour at lunch when our youngest was sleeping but found towels on all the sunloungers and only a couple actually being used! Grrr - really annoying when you haven't much time to yourself! Ended up joining the masses and reserving a lounger myself in the morning!!
Our oldest loved the pool and the pool barstaff were great. She also LOVED the mini-disco.

When we first arrived I felt quite deflated as the room was hot and dark, facing the road and I thiught what have we done. But after getting the air con on and opening it up a bit we had the best holidya yet the fridge was massive and the aprtments werew wel equiped. The balcony was massive and we sat out in the evenings when the kids were in bed and had alovely time. I would definitely recommend it to anybody, but hire a a car to travel around as Santo Tomas is quiet. But we liked it that way.

I have been going to Mestral for over 10 years now. The apartments are always clean and the sheets and towels are changed frequently by the polite maids. The location is a 5-10 minute away from a lovely clean beach, and 5-10 minute walk to the local shops (bakery, supermarket, gift shops etc). The staff are always friendly and pleased to see you. There is plenty of entertainment at the Las Dunas bar over the road, which is free to watch and many lovely restaurants too eat from at night. The complex is not to noisy in the day, but not boring and there is a nice relaxed atmosphere which is perfect for holidays.

wow,this is the best resort i have been too in ages,this year will be my 12th year going here and im only 14,it is a fun and freindly area. freindly maids come round everyday to change your beds and mop the floor just genraly cleen.very freindly bar staff nico that i have known all my life and for the children the is a kids club,so that you can get away from your childern and relax for a few hours.the Entertainment is fab and over the road walk is las dunas that has a show on everynight.the food is self catering with the restaurants are clean the best is don thomas just a 5-10 min walk from the appartments, the beach is clean with lifegards on gard all the time beach side cafes all amasing BEST HOLIDAY YET !!! :d

We stayed in the Mestral and Llebeig Apartments in the Mestral side, we had a 3 bedroom apartment which was a lovely size, 1 double room and 2 twin rooms, the double room had an en suite which was ideal having 5 children with us. The kithen was well equipped and the apartment was very clean on arrival. We had a small problem with ants but got some spray from the local supermarket and it sorted it straight away. The pool got abit busy at times and there was a few sunbed hoggers, it would be nice if the hotel enforced the no reservations rule. Having small children it would also be nice if they didn't allow older kids to bring large dinghys into the pool, lilos etc are fun for them but large boats are abit much!

We were really impressed by the size of the apartment. We had a 2 bed appt and stayed in the Meistral section. Good size bedrooms with good wardrobe space. Lounge area plenty of room. Balcony excellent.Loads of room, outdoor table and chairs. Also a clothes horse provided - always useful for 4 lots of towels and swimming things!!

Kitchen well equipped with big fridge and freezer. Planty of saucepans, utensils etc.

Really close to the beach. Was only a 10 minute walk even with 2 dawdling kids! Crazy golf and pony club nearby.

Pools nice and clean...quite chilly but it was May! Didn't have a problem with the sunbeds but was only the start of the season.

Two lovely park areas, really clean and good equipment.

Staff helpful and friendly.

Haven't rated the entertanment as kids don't tend to go in kids clubs and we usually head back to apartment fairly early. Other kids tended to enjoy it though.

As a family of 3 adults, we came to the resort for a relaxing break. Our 2 bedroom "ground floor"apartment was spotless, very spacious and well equipped. Like all the others, it had a huge balcony( big enough to choose sun or shade any time of day) with a pretty garden below. 6 steps led up to it, adding to privacy and the little gate would have kept toddlers safe.

We were in Mestral apartments, overlooking road and entertainment/ games area over the road which suited us fine.

It,s literally 3 mins level stroll to the shady prom then down planked walkways to the beach.

Overall we were very impressed by the complex and it's lovely setting. We did,nt use the pool at all, but it sounded popular.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and if there were any problems after 9 p.m. you could be put thro' to the hotel down the road.

Maestral Llebeig Apartments, Santo Tomas, Menorca

Just had a great two weeks in the Maestral Llebeig Apartments in the quiet resort of Santo Tomas in Menorca.The apartments are kept very clean and smart by a team of friendly helpful staff, we had a light bulb go and it was fixed same day,pool was cleaned every day. The appartment we stayed in was 2 bedroom, and was very spacious, and very well equipped with full cooker, microwave, kettle and toaster etc.

I can't think where to start! Firstly it's perfect for children, there's so many parks dotted about. The beach is clean and the pool was lovely.

The maid service was fantastic and all the staff at Las Dunas over the road were brilliant, mini disco every night for the children and adult entertainment after, soft play area for the kids, crazy golf, pool, good food. Need I say more?

Cots were expensive, at 4 euros a night it bumped out expenses right up so I suggest taking a travel cot if you can!
