This was our first time to this hotel. Our room 206 was on a lower floor which was very dark indeed. We used to call it the dungeon.

The room was very spacious, very clean, large balcony, ours didn't have a very good view. We put the fold away bed out of the living area into the bedroom with our beds for our young son. We never heard any noise from the hotel entertainment or bars outside.

Accommodation was clean with beautiful views over resort but only if you were on a high floor. I would definitely not want to be below reception. Could hear late night revelers from bars across street but it wasn't a problem.

Reception staff could do with being a bit friendlier. Entertainment staff excellent as were pool bar staff.

Wooden sunbeds are antiques and need replacing and there definitely needs to be more umbrellas for those who want a bit of shade now and again, especially young children.

Good location for those wanting to visit Aqua Park which is a good day out and a simple stroll up the road.

We had read mixed reports, so were rather dubious, but found the Hotel was great - and we're fussy! Definitely recommend a high floor though, as high as you can get. We had a room on the 8th floor with great views. All very clean, spacious, and bright. Kitchen not brilliantly well equipped (cutlery, pans etc) but as you would expect with most s/c apartments.

The balcony table had a wobbly leg so we had to balance it with a piece of card, but, on the whole, all great. Pillows are either very soft and floppy or dreadful, with great hard lumps in them, so we asked for extra ones and were able to pick the best of the bunch. The staff were polite, courteous and, in the maein, pleasant. We had Christmas at thye hotel and booked their Christmas Lunch with was actually rather good. Really surprised in all; much better than we had thought.

The pools were clean, but the tiles were very slippery so you had to take care. The pool bar and the upstairs bar were both good value - my only bugbear was the coffee. I drink mine black, and it was virtually impossible to get a full cup of black coffee, rather than one at 'half tide'.

Finally, a tip if you are light sleepers, or don;t want to party until the wee hours like us (we had a child with us). Take Earplugs. They were invaluable as our main complaint was the tremendous noise from the bars across the road - Snoopys and Garfields were the worst. Bad Karaoke (I will survive, My Way, etc.) invaded our sleep most nights, then, at 3.00 am most nights, our neigbours would come home, slam doors etc and then sit on the balcony yakking, which we thought was a bit selfish, particuarly for couples in their late 50s!

The other thing we were a little fazed by was the majority of the other holidaymakers - mainly on the beer from 10.00 am until late at night and just not our types. It's actually the first holiday we haven't got chatting to anyone and made friends. Still, all in all a great holiday. We would return again, however, as we were in Tenerife last winter too, probably not for a while as we like to try other places.

The hotel was really nice, as long as you are staying ABOVE 3rd floor. We got put on 3rd floor!! It's dark and depressing with nothing to look at. The kitchen was overdue for an update - the fridge having more rust than paint!! The poolside was OK though really slippy you took your life in your own hands there. A lot of foul mouthed folks there which when you have a child can make things uncomfortable, though that is not the hotels fault.....anyway getting back to the room... Decided to go and see rep about rooms being changed. She was really helpful, though reception staff weren't but they eventually relented and we were put on 7th floor - room loads better and the view....pool and sea... it was great I would stay at Ocean Beach again without a doubt as long as there was a guarantee that out room would be above the 3rd floor.

The Apartment we stayed in was of a very good standard.

We were situated on the 7th Floor and had an excellent view of Las Americas.

The Hotel was very clean, with the pool area being cleaned very meticulously daily.

The Hotel Food is to be avoided, I was unlucky to sample this due to a rainy day which meant staying in the Complex, bad mistake!

The hotel staff were quite friendly, especially Juan, who looked after the pool area, he was a real character.

The entertainment for November was good, although I did feel that James the entertainment manager was going through the motions on particular nights.

I would certainly visit this hotel again, however I would only stay in the apartments above the 4th floor to ensure a view.

When we first arrived we were put in a room on level 2 reception being on 4 and it was only set up for 3 people. We asked reception to change us rooms and they did striaght away we were moved to level 8 which was the top floor but the room was better but again only set up for 3 people so we told reception and they made the changes. Had a few problems with the safety deposit box due to the batteries init running out they were changed after the 2nd time asking.

The BBQ wasn't very nice.

Entertainment was very cheessy!!!

Pool bar very good value.

Recomend Slow Boat chinese beside the beach very good went twice very good value for money and we good our house wine for free both times.

Apart from that it was a good and rememrable holiday

Stayed at the Ocean Beach over half term in October.

I tell you it was a damn interesting time. Fantastic week, fantastic hotel. Would defintaely recommend staying here.

The entertainment was good, especially the hypnotist show! The night life was brilliant, we definately recommend WAIKIKI bar, along Veronicas. But a little tip - be wary who you talk to in Playa de las Americas!!!

Little restaurants ouside the hotel were really nice and good value for money! Looking forward to coming back next year.

I think that the ocean beach hotel was very clean hotal there was men in white suits going round all day spraying things to stop cockroaches.

The cleaners were coming in everyday to clean the rooms and give us clean beddin and clean towels.

We didnt eat in the hotel we went to the resurants didn't know which one to pick because there was so many. There was lots of bars and clubs I would recommend Tenerife to an young peoeple beacause of its night life.

The hotel staff were very poliet and understanding if you had any queries about anything. The entertanment sounded alright but we didn't go to it though my little cousins did at night though.

During the day there was not much to do in the hotel I would def go to this hotel again well I am going again in October with my family .xxx

My husband, year old baby daughter Chloe, and I arrived back from the Ocean Beach apartments tonight and we'd definitely recommend it and go there again!

The staff were helpful and friendly, all spoke good English and the minor problems we had with the room were corrected immediately.

We were given a different cot and a remote control was brought up for the TV straight away (as it was missing.) The TV was quite expensive to use though (one very minor complaint) as we were in the apartment quite a lot, as we have a young child.

We didn't see much of the entertainment, so we couldn't comment, but there was certainly variety!

Reception was on floor 4 and we were on floor 6, so we also couldn't comment on the lower ground floors.

We were very close to lots of restaurants and pubs, but we heard very little noise.

When we went there was no competion for the Sunbeds and there were no marauding crowds of children/louts.

I'd say it was good for both families and singles.

The beach was relatively close and the Aqua Park was fantastic, especially the Dolphin show, we went to both shows, the day we went!

We would recommend the Rumpot, Mario's, Chaplins, the Indian Restaurant on the 1st floor of the shopping centre (Kasmir's, I think)

The only blights of the week were (both my fault) that I slipped over by the pool and scrapped and bruised my knee and I didn't use any sunblock the 1st day and burnt my shoulders!

Great Holiday!!

The holiday as a whole was brilliant and we will definately go there again.

The hotel was clean and situated very close to the beach, shops and some night life. The main night life was only a few minutes away in a taxi, which was not very expensive.

We would suggest that if you decide to stay here that you try to get a room on one of the top 4 floors as we stayed on level 2 and we had some unwelcome visitors - COCKROACHES!! However, I told the rep at the hotel and they dealt with it the next day by giving us some spray, which got rid of them!

The entertainment was very good at the hotel as there was a guy there that arranged everything. His name was 'James' and he was very nice and made us feel very welcome. The only thing we will say, is that the toilets in the hotel hardly ever had any toilet roll, which was a bit of a pain!

There is a bar by the pool that does food and drink and the guy there called 'Quan' was very friendly and welcoming and made great food right in front of us - which was great! We occasionaly had breakfast in the main food hall, which served breakfast until 11 and it was 5 euro to eat as much as you like!!! Excellent!
