We have just returned from the Devamli and have to say it is a little gem of an hotel. The cleanliness is second to none and the helpfulness of the staff was fantastic.
The hotel is situated very centrally, just a few mins walk to the beach along the delightfully pretty canal. We were amazed at how pretty and clean the resort was overall, an abundance of flowers everywhere.
The hotel now has a lift and all the rooms have been refurbished. There is a min-bar in the room however as in most hotels the cost of the drinks in this was ridiculous..

Stayed as a single and must have been given the smallest room in the hotel. it was like the broom closet. It was however very clean and maid service was very good along with the bar staffs etc.
I cannot however say the same about the reception staff. As I was helping out at a friends wedding and had bought things from England, I needed a turkish friend to help carry it to place of marriage. they did not want to let him in ..even for five minutes. They were also very very rude to him. They were very arrogant.
This may be ideal for families but not reccommended for the single traveller.

I stayed at the Devamli Hotel independantly and alone.
As the Bar and Catering facilties front the road there was no actual feeling of being part as a Resident of the Hotel. Therefore it was difficult to gauge who was staying at the Hotel and who was not.
In addition, the siting of the very small pool with poor sunbed facility (broken chairs and ripped beds) and NO bar nor Waiter service around the pool - didn't lend itself to a relaxing holiday - bikini clad having to enter a public bar didn't make one feel - well comfortable!
Whilst the Hotel was clean, breakfast good and location excellent - the best feature was the friendliness of the maids, the barstaff in the main being unfriendly.
As a consequence I would not consider returning to this Hotel even for free. I therefore warn any single traveller to BEWARE!

We booked the Devamli Hotel having seen it on previous visits to Icemeler. What we didn't realise was that we would be situated on the top floor. The room is not one of the refurbished rooms. The balcony was in fact a high wall from which we had no view whatsoever. The room was very basic and whilst the bedding was supposed to have been changed during our stay, the same stain remained on one bed and the same tear in the sheet on the other.
The pool was adequate although whilst we were there no one seemed to use it but the sun loungers were on another level with very little space and broken parasols.
The bar attached to the hotel was excellent and the staff who worked in the bar were very friendly but because of how the hotel is situated in between the bar and the restaurant, we were almost at the end of the week before the bar staff realised we were residents in the Devamli and gave us a 10% discount!! We are returning to Icemeler next year but will not be returning to the Devamli.

The hotel was lovely, the staff in the bar were the best we have ever had and the Loveboat restaurant served the best food we have ever had anywhere abroad.
Icmeler Online did us proud and the transfer from the airport was very, very fast, fantastic.
We are in the process of booking again at the Devamli for early in 2005. Well done JT and co.

Wow. What a fantastic place to stay. Went half-board and had really lovely food at the Love Boat restaurant. Sports bar attached to hotel is also great. The most brilliant and friendly staff I've ever met - and we've been on a lot of holidays! They really couldn't do enough for you.
Rooms cleaned every day. I believe the first floor rooms have recently been renovated and are very nice. We stayed on the second floor and it was more than adequate.
Is positioned perfectly, a 5 minute walk along the canal (bars and restaurants a plenty) to the beach. Icmeler is magic - nightlife if you want it but nothing like Marmaris - which is only 10 mins away if thats your thing.
The only thing is - not good if you're disabled as no lift.
Have already booked for next year. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I have visited Icmeler several times before and have learnt that the hotels there will never be the most fantastic you stay in.
The Devamli is perfectly acceptable for its cost and to be honest, exceeded my expectations.
The room was basic, as I expected, but clean. The view was perfect - right above the taxi rank and looking down towards the canal.
The adjoining sports bar and restaurant "the love boat" are brilliant and were perfect for what we wanted. The food and service in the love boat was excellent - don't let the tacky name put you off! infact, I recommended it to my brother who visited Marmaris a few weeks later - who loved it so much, he travelled to Icmeler every night to have their meal there!
The pool is small but fine for the size of the hotel. When we visited, we pretty much had it to ourselves. The only downside was that the sunbeds were up on the next level a bit due to lack of space - a bit of a pain when you want to keep an eye on the kids as they swim.
The staff were friendly and helpful - think the lad on reception of a night-time was a bit too helpful, if you get my drift!
I would have no worries in recommending the hotel and would book it again in an instant. The main attraction being that the hotel is in the perfect position - can't ask for a better location.

Hotel Devamli
Stayed at the Devamli last year and just got back from our stay no2. (May/June 2004)
We found quite a few changes this year to ground floor and first floor areas.
We had rooms on the second floor which hasn?t been refurbed as yet.
Ground floor has a new reception area and games room. They also have a PC now with Internet access @
