The Royal Bay hotel was very clean also the beach, the cleaning staff work very hard.
The rooms are large and comfortable, but basic.
If you are looking for a very quiet holiday just laying on the beach with some good books, not wanting to leave the complex this is the place for you, there is nothing to do at all other than walk up and down the beach which can get a bit boring.Evening's spent sitting around the bar if you could find a seat inside if it was to cold to sit outside.
As for the food, well where do I start, my husband spent 5 days in bed with food poisoning, very ill. We also found out that many people in the hotel were suffering sickness and upset tummies, another man was unable to eat without being ill. The hot food, (if that is what you can call it) was all most cold, meat not cooked properly was often red inside.The food had flies crawling over it. Need I say more.
Would I return never.

We went last year in August and like so many people who have wrote reports on this resort I was going to cancel and change to another hotel. So glad I never everything was brilliant.
The entertainment was a bit naff but we had two young kids so weren't too fussed.
Our rep Jason was fantastic and we ended up spending a lot of time with him he told us a few places to go off the resort which fantastic and broke the two weeks on the complex up.
The food by the second week was to much for me and couldn't really face it but just get the bus to sunny beach absolutely hilarious.
Sunny Beach is like a Blackpool but food and drink is cheap. Would go back again to this complex but maybe for just a week.

Had a wonderful holiday, hotel was brilliant. was so worried about the reviews before we left and were tempted to cancel. The hotel was spotless, the location was right on the beach. All room sfaced the sea and had a fabulous view. Received complimantary drinks and chocolate in our fridge in our rooms when we arrived. Drinks were as expected, would of liked a few cocktails. The food was very good, maybe a little monotonous after 2 weeks but then so would any where be. The staff were great and always tried to speak english. The entertainment was on every evening in the resort and was a little naff but we enjoyed it after a few drinks!

We arrived over 12 hours late due to flight delays and were given no welcome meeting. We received the keys and at first the hotel rooms(we had 2) seemed ok, on closer inspection the taps were hanging off the wall and the shower curtain would not stay up in the bathroom, the sockets were all hanging off and there were holes in walls. For the first 3 days we were not given any bedding what so ever, no toilet roll or towels, these are basic items which should have been freely available. Food was un-cooked (the scrambled eggs for breakfast looked like chicken soup, the same every day and when it had been out for a few days they added spices to mask the smell. If you left anything on your plate then whe the staff cleared your able they smelt it and if it seemed ok they reserved it. No servce elevator so the staff pushed you out of the way when they needed to go between floors. Electricity kept going out and there is no emergency lighting, no candles or anything, people were falling down the stairs and on one day 5 children were stuck in the lift for over 4 hours with no effort given to try and get them out. No entertainment unless you paid for it, in fact you had to pay for nearly everything. You could go windsurfing for free if you paid for your licence(220 Lev) floats in the sea were 10 lev each, even the kids club you had to pay for most things. Staff were rude and you got all drinks in a plastic beaker unless you paid for them and then you would be given a glass. The only thing the kids could drink was Pop or water nothing else and only chicken nuggets and hotdogs to eat everyday. I would not recommend this hotel to my worse enemy, it deserves a 1star if that, I was waiting for Jeremy Beadleto jump out and say it was a bad joke as it felt like we were on Carry on Columbus

this hotel is not All inclusive, you have to pay for crazy golf, tennis,waterpark ( drinks and sunbeds ), some shows.
they have lots of staff but must seem to watch others work ! it is not clean infact it is unhealthy, the room and the public area are not keep clean.
the food I didn't expect english food but i also did expext to be poisoned they put fresh food on top of the old food, the b/q food is rushed and under cooked.
the drinks are very gassy and don't help your bad gutts.
the Hotel is locatted on a great beach but it is miles from anywhere you have to get a bus or taxi to escape . but the next town ( sunny beach) is worse overcrowded and no history ...
the staff never smile! if they have to eat the food i can understand why ! they also use the same lifts so if you have a pushchair you will spend 15/20mins a day waiting for lifts ...
the first choice entertainment is ok if you like butlins type ( bingo, panto,ect)
I would not go back to this hotel EVER..

Beach absolutely wondeful, Black sea lovely and safe for children, my dayghter is 7 and it was great.
Building work is not outside of the comples as first choice are currently advising, the music by the pool which is put on by First choice is that loud you can't hold a conversation probarbly to drown out the sound of jack hammers. No waiter service at all, constant queues for food or drinks, or any entertainment.
Food, Sorry but I would'nt feed it to my dog, both myself and my husband had food poisoning, chipped mugs are available after queueing for breakfast, I know this is a new resort location, but if you want service and good food this is not the hotel.

I was in the hotel royal park for 2 week and i wanted to go home my second day the food was not very nice at all and the drink were alway flat and good job they was a shops down stairs for sweets the pool was very cold the staff can not even talk english the entertaintment is very good on a day and night they were no pay phones you have to use your hotel phone and our bill was high it is about 10 minites from the hotel royal park to sunny beaches it is really nice at sunny beaches i would not go there

Perfect, all they seem to do is clean.
The food was OK plenty for the kids to eat, the view from our was just perfect, about 9-10am the dolphins would swim past wicked!
We had friends stay at the Royal Park, it has no kids pool, and a 2 meter pool, and a cue for dinner for about half hour each day not good! Sunny beach is not for families at all, beggars just scary! But if you have booked to stay at the Royal Bay you have nothing to worry about what so ever, just spot on!

This hotel is in the quiet part.
Its nice away from any noise. It was very clean,the staff work very hard,they are very friendly.
I cant wait to go back again. If I can get time off work I will go back before the season ends in October.
Not many shops but that was a plus. I was made to feel welcome by all.
