The hotel was spotless...always loads of cleaners with mops & brushes, infact one morning we looked out to see them cleaning the seaweed from the beach after a previously stormy night! A huge thank you to Maria who couldn't speak a word of english, but who always had a smile and a chat with us when we saw her "every" evening downstairs. Our room was always spotlessly clean & if you leave any towels hanging on the floor then you will have them replaced with a clean one.

The food was always delicious, buffet style...lots of choices...2 soup choices for lunch & dinner & never repeated on the same day.

We especially looked forward to the griddle in the middle of the dining room...fresh pankaces cooked on it every morning, & each evening we looked forwards to young Toscoff & what he would be cooking on it tonight!
Our son has many allergies & there are lots of food that he cannot eat, he certanly did not go hungry. Loads of choices and always piles of food on his plate!

The location of the hotel within Elenite holiday village is good. We could throw a stone from our balcony into the sea it is so close. you walk out the hotel doors, down the steps & onto the beach...perfect.

The sea is warm and very very safe, we were in it every day. Tere always seemed to be enough beach loungers at our end of the village, even if we didnt decide to hit the beac until after lunch. The tractor came along every night to clean the sand & Nathan looked forweard to this almost as much as the morning pancakes.

The staff in the restaurant were always very helpful & smiling, and as all staff in the hotel seemed to be on every day during our two week stay I,m sure it helps if you speak to them. Those who say the staff were glum...did you try to smile first...these people work very hard to please us and from what we saw...for not a lot of thanks...they are only human after all!!!

Again Maria is one in a million. I'm sure anyone who stayed ther will agree. Nathan was in tears when he said good-bye to her.

If you need anthing I would say go to your rep as they go direcly to the manager and resolve any problem that aris very quickly & with out any hassels of trying to be understood.

The entertainment was not in our hotel, but a short stroll to the animation hall or to the main village and you had all you needed there. The boys especially enjoyed the rifle shooting every morning and got quite good at it towards the end.

The cats & the "deer" was a great source of enjoyment also!

Overall we had a great holiday, the only thing we would change is for more information in our hotel is needed about what is on within the village & in the kids club, as we had to keep trotting up to the main resort & to the Royal Park hotel to find out what was on.

We will return, and to the same hotel, it is a good base for going into the nearby larger resort of Sunny Beach (15-20 mins)if you want to shop or to be entertained.

We highly reccomend the monster truck trip... it takes you into the hills, through vinyrds, sunflower fields and gypsy villages, to a small lake by a house where you fish with "sweetcorn" as bait and then have a BBQ and superb food fresh from the families garden.

Where do I start, definitely not a 4* I would give it 1 just to be nice.

There were swarms of flies and wasps on your food and dead around floors. Crockery was broken and chipped and often given plastic cups for hot brews so you burnt your hands.

I must say the cleaners worked damn hard all day but the place was still covered in flies. Food was raw, left uncovered and basically revolting, mum came home with food poisoning.

Location on beach excellent although beach not very clean or safe in some areas.

Staff were rude and abrupt didn't want to help, even when we tried to learn a few Bulgarian words to be nice.

No entertainment whatsoever unless you had a pack of cards.

Where do we start?

All Inclusive - what a rip off the food is rotten and very limited choice my daughter lived on bananas for two weeks of the holiday. We had food poisoning for the first week due to frozen food and reheated food also the amount of flies no wonder people were dropping like flies. The fruit on display was all rotten.

Apart from the room being infested with ants, the towels were changed everyday. Cleaners using same toilet mop for the cleaning of everywhere else.

What entertainment you had to buy a pack of cards to keep you going.

The shop must of made a pack with the amount of people buying cards.

I will never return and never recommend this holiday to anyone what a waste of our time and money it was a holiday from HELL.

This was the worst holiday of our lives. The food was either going hard round the edges or stale or repetetive.

This is not a place to go as a family as there is nothing to do for the children till eight p.m. when there is a disco for about 45mins and then a show which usually ended at about 10pm.

There are cats walking around the lobby sitting on the seats scratching. The pool bar was only open about three times in our fortnight stay, therefore the kids had to walk to the next hotel for a hotdog.

The mens toilets in the main entrance stunk and it didnt help that you had to walk past them to go to the restaurant.

The only good thing about this hotel was the view as it is situated right on the beach. If you want to enjoy yourself on this holiday make sure you take a pack of cards or a game of scrabble for your entainment in the lobby bar.

I would only recommend this holiday to an elderly couple or people who wish to do nothing but sit about all day and night!!!!!!!!

This hotel felt like a 1* hotel

We all spent 4 days ill and on the toilet. Hotel food was recycled over and over.

No entertainment, had to eat out every day and go off site every day to find something to do. Never saw rep once in the 2 weeks, very rude barman in hotel bar.

The whole holiday was the worst two weeks we have had anywhere, and in addition we spent an extra 500 pounds eating out and on off site entertainment!!

If there were minus ratings we would have used them it was that bad. You could make a full episode of holidays from Hell about this place !!

I was really hoping this would be a great holiday,in my last review I was worring because of everything I had read about this hotel, I gave it the none shallow minded aproach and well.........the floors were being constantly washed day and night with soaking wet mops, my son slipped a right sore one, I complained, it still made no difference,it still continued.

I wondered why I hadn't seen very many wasps and flies in scotland this year, i'll tell you why shall I, they were all in Elenite. I have never seen so many my son and daughter were stung twice, they were every where, in the hotel rooms, on the landings, in the lifts, in the dinning room, at the bar, at the pizza hut, at the hotdog stand, at the kebab stand, on the beach, at the pool, and in the pool floating about dead. What a scary, fearful, time we had. The only time I never saw them was night time, they were probobly that tired from all the food, and all the stinging they done all day, thank god for anti sting cream and flipflops for wacking.

The food, well it was digusting I wouldn't have even fed it to my dog. I had to eat out on this all inclusive holiday, my son was living on chips and cucumber.

Hotel staff, lovely, but only smiles, maria and the pancake maker. The rest were stuck up and not interested.

We left this hotel and moved to the Royal Park. That was just as bad. What a waste of our hard earned cash I was dying to come home and so was my family.

Hotel overall good. Few niggles e.g hairdryer not working, small leak in bathroom, kids beds not made up on the night we arrived, but standard of cleanliness very good.

Plenty of choice on food- our kids who are quite fussy managed fine.. There was usually a kids alternative (the dreaded turkey dinosaurs!!!). Little entertainment in the hotel but the holiday village is very close where there is more.

We just got back from the Royal Bay hotel in Elenite Bulgaria on Fri 27/8/05

I must say for an all inclusive holiday we were very unimpressed. We have no complaints about the cleanliness of the hotel because it was spotless.

The weather was fantastic red hot every day except for 2 thunder storms on the evening.

We weren't very impressed with the food if you like British food this isn't the place for you, and they don't really cater for vegetarians, the salad bar isn't covered so you get flies loads of them on the food.

As for entertainment what a joke, that is if you are staying at the Royal Bay end. The Royal Park has entertainment every night put on by the reps. but if you are from the Royal Bay you can't get a drink there!! Bit daft when its all the same resort, there was more in animation hall but the room is tiny for a resort that size and doesn't cater for people with infants as it was all stairs all the way around, and as for the royal bay there was no entertainment at all!!!.

If we were to go to Bulgaria again we wouldn't choose Elenite, we would choose either Sunny Beach or Golden Sands where there is more for kids to do.

Hi ..we just got back from the Royal Bay today and we have not one complaint what so ever...

The staff were brill and the food was brill (good selection)..the friends we met...Shug and Trish...Robbie and Jo..George and Susan..and many many more were great....this was the best holiday we've had.

The hotel was very clean. Staff always pleasant.

Food good enough variety good selection for children. The only thing was if the children wanted ice cream during the day it meant going to the holiday village and as they were too young themselves it was not close by.

Hotel was right on the beach.

Entertainment on the beach every Sunday.

I would visit there again in a couple of years I would try somewhere else as you do have to travel 20 mins to the nearest resort.

The staff were brilliant very friendly.

No entertainment for children at this Hotel you have to go to the village where they have it there but there is kids club in the daytime.
