THe resort was very nice and a very safe place for children. We let our daughter fo up to the shop and to get ice creams (which were available all day). I think it suits children up to the age of 12 but any older they could get bored,

There was nothing to do in the resort and you had to take a taxi to Sunny Beach or the next village to do something different. The beach is lovely and the water sports were cheap compaired to Spain etc. You could stroll between hotels but gets a bit boring after a couple of weeks.

the beach was the only good thing. soft sand gentle sloping water. still had to put towels out for sunbeds though. lifeguards around.

did do a couple of trips, khans tent, not bad, entertainment good , food a bit bland, but better than the hotel and edible. also a pirates boat trip, great day out we all enjoyed ourselves.

the water park is also good value for money nice and clean, sunbeds every where, it felt refreshing jumping into clean water!!! the kids loved it.

a few things we learnt long the way, do not change your money up outside or the resort, we saw three arguments over incorrect exchange rates at booths along sunny beach. lots of cash machines in sunny beach, but beware, i have just checked my account and found out the the withdrawels i made have been taken out twice, so i am in the process of claiming this back!!

a few child beggars in sunny beach at night, but just ignore them and they dont follow you. most of the bars in sunny beach have a happy hour and you can make this last all night, buy one and they give you two.!!

In all honesty this was our holiday from hell, we have been to bulgaria twice before and had the most fantastic time, we stayed in the resort of albena and it was great.

we meet many other brits in and around the resort and many had problems with hotels on being told their hotel was overbooked. do not be fobbed off byyour reps, sunny beach has been a holiday resort for 30 year and the elenite holday village where the royal park is built in had been a resort for 20year owned by the Victoria hotels group.

these people should know what they are doing by now, and they dont care, they do not want you spending time in the hotel in the evening to that they can save money. we had paid for food and drinks that we could not possibly consume and had to pay extra just to get and edible meal.

I would never ever go here again, it may look full but this is because they are putting people here from all over just to make it look popular. I now realise i should have taken notice of the lady in the room next to us on our first day, when we overheard her crying down the phone asking for someone to get her a flight out asap. You have been warned!

The beach was lovely and sandy with plenty of sunbeds available. Close by was a resturant and also a bar that made beautiful pizza's all day, only problem with that was they were so popular that sometimes you had to queue for a long time waiting for them to finish cooking, but always managed to chat to other holiday makers while waiting. Great for kids as it was very safe.

This hotel and holday village was the resort of elinite. You had to get the busses or taxis into sunny beach. The busses got so full you could not move and the kids often got squashed. The taxis worked out quite expensive if you went a few times and back, about £7 there and £9 back. Even in sunny beach we found very little entertainment on for the kids in the pubs, but the pubs that did have entertainment were good. The beach was cleaned every day for the sea weed, But their was lots of jelly fish which did put us off a bit. The ones with the blue tenticals do sting but the white ones dont. There is some animals on the complex in very small and cramped cages which is very cruel as the kids torture them they get no peace. The large pellacan called george is friendly but still frightened the kids and adults.

The resort was not a 4*. The pool music was too loud the first choice reps had the music on as so would the animation team so you had two lots of music playing which got too much every day, the location of the RP was good in relation to the Beautiful Black sea which was about 20 degrees warmer that the pool. the sea was great fun with life guards ther all day (even though a guy did drown one day when the sea was a bit rough). The beach was clean and there was plenty of sun beds. Bulgaria is a beautiful place and I would go back to Bulgaria but NOT to the Royal Park. If you are going make sure the kids are never out of sight. The resort is very quite and it is too much for two weeks, the RP looks as if it was years old.. Dont Go..!!!! Ps we dont normaly moan about things I think it is a shame to waste hard earned cash on this place even if you go with a open mind I think you will be disapointed,

Elenite holiday village is beautiful , a private beach with free sunbeds and cheap water sports and mountains in the background . The beach is very clean and safe - with lifeguards sitauted about every hundred meters .The whole resort is all inclusive which means great choice of eating places , bars and entertainment . Sunny Beach and Nessebar are within easy reach.

The beach at this resort is very clean, as for the seaweed, what do you expect, doh!

Do take the ferry to Nessebar it is a great little town for gifts, but take care on the pier at the resort when getting on the ferry, you will know what I mean when I say that I was sure I saw Indiana Jones getting on.

DO NOT change you money in any of the little boothes dotted around, you will get ripped off.

The life guards on the beach are very strict when the red flags are out which was good.

There was a rumour that the resort is to close at the end of the season to be re-fitted or just finished off.

Overall, the holiday was a good one even though it doesn't seem like it in my report and this place will be fantastic when they get it sorted. But in future, I think travel companies must make sure things are going to be in place for people that have in some cases saved all year for to enjoy.

Elenite as a resort is quite quiet, good for families - read my hotel review for more info.

The resort in general is kept clean. I also agree that it's us lazy Brits that leave all the rubbish in the beach. Why? because if you were at home you wouldn't leave your rubbish on the beach, you would bag it and bin it.
