good location if you like a quiet holiday. Taxis are easy to use and cost 15 leva to sunny beach. Lack of watersports was very dissapointing. The beach was beautiful and clean. Water was clean, calm and shallow for a long way out. Weather is unpredictable, so take light coat or cagool. Sunny Beach is basically a construction site at the moment. Some of the hotels there have their swimming pools next to the main road, with no fencing, which meant a lack of privacy. Prices have got to be the cheapest in Europe. Pint of beer=40-50p. 3-course meal for 2= £8-£10. Local fags=40p per 20. Recommend if you go to Elenite, don't stay in the holiday village, but in one of the two hotels that they have within the grounds (Royal Park and Royal Bay)

The resort of Elenite is very secluded and isolated from the main resort of Sunny Beach. It is not as close as the brochures suggest. The plus factor is the Beach itself which is beautiful and clean.

Resort was okay with good pools for the children however I thought the sea to be a bit dirty for my liking. There was one place for entertainment in the evening however it wasn't very big and had to cater for two big hotels and the holiday village.

The resort is a self contained resort and has everything you need. We went to Sunny beach by taxi and am glad we didn't stay there as it was a market and building site.

There are a lot of uneven surfaces in the village accommodation area and lots of stairs in the Village to son not so good if you have a pram or are infirm.

The resort is called Elenite "El-en-eete" and by and large it is quite nice, just boring - nothing to do. Apartments are shooting up in the next village Mexehion (spelt something like that) and befor elong it will be a mass of concrete and windows. The coastline is lovely, but i think it is going to be spoiled by property. But as this has been such a poor country they are clearly cashing in on foreign interest, just as foreigners are cashing in on their country and the plans for the UE in 2007.

Who ever is going to this hotel i advise you strongly do not go. There were people there who got food poison, we have just got back 05/07/04. We were only there for 1 week thank god. The hotel is far from finished, in our room on the sixth floor the toilet leaked there was no shower curtain and no air conditioning. You couldnt eat the food stone cold. They run out of milk every day so they gave you powdered milk yuk. The only good thing about the resort is the beach and the pool, and the weather.in one week there was 1700 complaints. Good luck you will need it.

Beach is good.
Entertainment is mainly for the kids, but Sunny Beach is only 5 miles away and about £6.50 in a Taxi or 40p on bus
Resort was clean.
The entire village is all inclusive, unless you are a Royal Bay guest, the facilities are then limited.
If you get the opportunity I highly reccommend going on the evening excursion to the "Hanska Shatra" Tent restaurant overlooking Sunny Beach - Delightful!!
One more thing - Bulgaria is so cheap! You just cant spend your money.
