The resort was good pleanty of bars ,tavernas, shops supermarkets. Many of the bars have entertainment elvis is a must see.
The beach is small and you do have to pay for the loungers not sure how much. Pleanty of water sports

plenty of eating places, Daphines next door was good but those turtles do bite!! but dont hurt. and loads of drinking spots one of them the Mona Lisa bar is great,
resort is a bit on the small side but you can venture away as corfu town is only down the road,
nice place to go it was a bit quite as it was only the begining of the season

the resort and the island as a whole is beautiful we went all over the island as we did not want to stay in the hotel grounds, the people we came across were so welcoming and on the island tour the guide was so enthusiastic ishe brought the hitory alive. we love all the greek islands and their people events and timing just worked against corfu for us we hope you have a better time .

Gouvia is a small town and excellent for people who do not want to stay in the "hustle & bustle of a large town/city.
There are numerous tavernas and bars to satisfy most peoples requirements and there are souvenir shops and supermarkets where you can buy supplies.
Beach is average, sandy rather than pebble.

We went during the 2nd week of October when the rainy season was just starting and a lot of the local businesses were just closing down for the season. It tends to get quite chilly at nights so a cardigan and an umbrella is a must.

While there, check out Bella Mamma, a superb restaurant where the food is excellent, the staff are very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Its just 5 minutes walk from the hotel along the main street where the restaurants and pubs are.

We wouldnt be back in Corfu so soon as there's other places we still want to see. The next time we visit, we probably would make sure the weather is a bit better than what we had. Enjoy!

Gouvia has plenty of good restaurants and bars. Would recommend the Elvis nights at the Irish bar (good holiday fun and quite a laugh) and Bella Mama and SOS restaurants both serve good food and its great value. If you want to experience some Greek dancing, visit the Viginia restaurant, where you can dance with the waiters every night. Good bus service into Corfu town, but it was often full up by the time it got to Gouvia. Suggest go early or a bit later at noon.

The resort is clean - the odd spots here and there are deprived but thats expected anywhere you go!

Only went on the beach once water was freezing!

The resort had a handful of tavernas however, there was only one act (Elvis) circulating the resort. Nightlife is extremely low-key and not recommended for the person looking for a lively energetic holiday.

The highlight of our holiday has to be the water park it is fantastic well worth a visit even ideal for my 3 year old son. However food is quite pricy there but no worse than back home in the uk.

Gouvia is an ideal resort and not far from anywhere. Only 15 mins transfer from Corfu airport and Corfu town. Plenty of bars and entertainment throughout Gouvia. The beaches are excellent especially if you like watersports like the ringos and banana boat. Plenty of boat trips. The underwater excursion is a must. You are sat in the bow of the boat and you can see the whole of the bottom of the sea with scuba divers bringing you live lobsters to the window - great for the kids.
