it was a well good setting for a hotel , right by the sea , a few bars down the road and a great big complex.the hotel was very clean but had quite a bad sewer stench in some parts but not all but i dont think there was much they could do about that.i was all inclusive which had its good side but that made you feel that you had to eat at the hotel all the time plus the food was basically the same everyday.the hotel staff were great because the greeks do have a sense of humour and are very genourous. there was one bar man/waiter who was a great hit with me and my friends and that was young costas he was a well good laugh and had a great personality and all the girls liked him, yasso costas .last but not least the entertainment that was a great laugh and good fun i mean me and my freinds would go up on stage and dance in the mini disco and im 14 so im sure the little ones liked it.the reps were a good laugh they supplie all sorts of games for kids and adults during the day eg. water polo , killer pool , lilo races , volleyball , basketball, kwik cricetand football so thanks gemma , claire , denise , liam , charly and anyone else i missed out. and the biggest thanks goes to shawn and mark the footee coaches. word of warning watch out for mousquitoes.

The hotel was fantastic and the location beautiful, some may find it rather remote but it was ideal for a relaxing holiday. We had no problems with the bus to the near by resorts and the driver was really nice.

We thought the pool was really good, not too deep and you got used to the rather rough edges but rough edges are better than slipping and falling in. We did manage to get sun beds every day and after the first few days we only got one for the kid's as it was hard to get them out of the pool.

The food was very good plenty of choice although I didn't like the Asian night. The staff were all lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them, they were very hard working. I must echo earlier comments the kebbas were excellent. The only thing missing was HP sauce at breakfast (had to go and buy some).

The rooms were spotlessly clean and to a good standard. Could have done with a plug for the sink as is hard to wash things with out; I realise we have to be careful with water but that would be better done by using a plug. The tv provided in the room was rather a waste of time as the channals in english were limited.

We didn't have any problems with the drinks apart from I had to drink vodka as bacardic wasn't included in the all inclusive.

The First Coice reps were very helpful, Chris the wavelnght rep was great, my son had a smashing time. The entertainments team were very hard working and friendly, they tried really hard to keep everyone entertained, it would have been better if there had been other acts brought in a couple of times a week (it would have given the team a break too).

There are a couple of bars near to the hotel which made a change, the kid's enjoyed the films in one and we were able to watch the rugby leauge in the other. Tanja travel close to the hotel was excellent, they were very helpful providing us with maps and information for our trip to Corfu town. The trip to the near by water park was fantastic we all had a great day out without traveling miles to the bigger one.

All in all this has to have been one of the best holidays we have ever had; it wasn't just the kid's that shed a tear when we left. We would recommend Blue Bay to everyone and yes we hope to return.

returned from the bbe on august 3rd had a great holiday .the weather was fantastic except for the storm on the monday night(quite frightening).the resortis a wonderful place nice an d quiet no traffic or rowdy nightclubbers.it has been improved from last year more sunbeds and parasols, grass removed from pool area and slabbed instead which makes it a much nicer area, childrens snack bar, much easier and quicker than ordering from the bar like last year.entertainment wasa little batter than last year but the big improvement was impulse, great voices, though i dont think they got the recognition they deserved.the owners panos spiros and tomas have great plans for this place and i for one will definately be going back hopefully in 2006 to meet the andrea gary emma lauren arthur jackie and kelly again.recommend this holiday to anyone who needs to wind down and chill away from work and the british weather.

we stayed self catering so we went out of the resort every night. There was only two tavernas to choose from but luckily they were nice so it was ok. At night i went down to a bar called valentino's with all my mates. It was good because we could have some drinks and then go and sit on the beach!!! The hotel was nice, not enough sunbeds, we had to send my 12 year old brother down at 7 some mornings and even then we only sometimes got them! The pool was really nice and so was the pool bar, it was nice to have somewhere shady to go! I think the entertainment could really do with improving! That was one of the reasons that we escaped to valentino's every night! When you visit bbe be sure to go to a small rocky cove we descovered! When you leave the complex at the exit next to the pool turn right and carry on going straight ahead(past molos bar) for as far as you can go. You eventually get to a small rock cove where the sea is really warm. It is right next to a very small green house and just to let you know the owner is very friendly and does not mind if you sunbathe in his garden! i really enjoyed my holiday, it has to be my best ever!!

what a great time we had. the weather was very hot.
the hotel was very clean and well maintained.
the maid service was good ,we like the way that the maid made our beds and lay out our night clothes.
the food was good and the head chef was always around so you were able to talk to him. the snack bar was good the lady serving was nice ,but it should serve food until midnight.
the location of the hotel was abit isolated, but when you have the buses to other places it was ok.
the staff where nice the owner was very nice and spoke great english, but the bar staff were a little rude,by not serving you when you have waited along time to get a drink.
the enterainment staff worked hard and they where very good esp Claire.A big thankyou to the kids club reps esp spikey mikey who took our son under his wing

We came back from the Blue Bay Resort on the 14th June and thought it was a beautifull place. The rooms were very clean and large, the only down side was the beds were a bit on the hard side. The food was wonderfull, with a wide range to choose from go prepeared to put on a few pounds, and for those of you who like Red Wine it's not bad for Greek wine. The location was lovely and the view from the pool is breath taking, There are two Beaches both are clean and safe, you can walk out a fair way and still only come upto your knees,My son and Husband went on the doughnut ride twice. And there are a few Taverners on the beach that sell nice food and ice cold beers. Staff at the Blue Bay were frienly and the Entertainment was good. There was one bar up near the reception with a group that were not that good, but it was somewhere for a quiet drink and a chat. Or you could go down to the pool bar where the Entertainment was provided by the reps, they worked very hard to involve the whole family and it was lots of fun. The Blue Bay is an Ideal choice for those of you who want to sit back and relax and maybe take a strole along the beach, If you do want to get out and about there is a supermarket down near the beach, to the left of the pool, that offers a few good trips, Not at Reps prices, We can recommend, The Horse riding through the olive groves and along the beach, And Corfu Town By night, with all it's narrow cobbled streets, If you do go to Corfu town the Church is a must! Looking foward to going back next year.

Reading most of these reports I cannot believe I went to the same resort!

The positives - the place was very clean, room service was first class and the staff were excellent.

The negatives - This is NOT a four star resort. Don't be fooled stars are awarded for things like air conditioning and colour TVs in your room ( when was the last time you judged a holiday by the TV in your room - only English service is BBC World News and CNN - who on earth watches TV on a greek holiday?? )

Things that DO matter on your holiday were pretty sub standard. The pool for instance - where you will be spending most of your time. There are 190 rooms in BBE - thats roughly 800 guests at full capacity BUT there are only approximatley 200 sun loungers. Obviously I don't expect 800 guests to have a lounger each ( half will be kids anyway ) but a family of four should expect a least two loungers between them. But even if the hotel doubled the amount of loungers there is not enough room around the pool to accomadate them.

The pool area is only half the size it should be! Disgraceful for a '4 star' hotel! What this means in practice is that you have to fight for your lounger and if you do get one you are more jam packed together with your fellow guests than any other pool I have ever known - this is not relaxing luxury ( especially since half the kids buy huge infalatable boats and lilos that take up what little space there is left between the loungers ) - basically the hotel has cut corners on pool space , and it's the guests that suffer.

Secondly beer is served in tiny plastic cups, the same one that you get out of a coffe machine ( luxury eh!) and you can only get 4 drinks at a time from the bar ( more luxury !) so in order to enjoy , say 4 pints of lager in an evening you need to make twelve trips to the bar! Another cynical attempt to save money by the owners and prevent you taking too much 'free' beer that you have already paid for.

Thirdly the bar area is the reception area of the hotel, full of plastic sofas and with the lights blaring like an operating theatre - I have never seen a bar with less atmosphere! It was as comfortable ( and noisy and crowded ) as drinking in an airport lounge in Bulgaria. But of course everyone one was on full board so you HAD to stay there - after all you had already paid for your drinks so to escape to a real bar would not only cost you more money but waste what you had already spent! You are trapped! Of course the hotel ensures the experinence is even more uncomfortable by only employing a few bar staff and only serving beer in those tiny measures - plus you can only order 4 drinks at a time - therefore you seem always to be at the bar in a queue rather than relaxing and enjoying yourself!

Sorry about the rant - this hotel should be 2 stars! I have never had a less relaxing holiday. Never again!

The hotel is in a stunning postion over looking a large bay near to a clean beach. A few shops. The pool was very clean but you have to reserve your sun bed at 7 oclock in the morning a bit sad. Lots of kids runing around the pool best place for sun bed near the fence over loooking the sea hotel staff very good.

we have just got back and we all enjoyed our holiday very much.Rooms were very clean although there were a couple of gripes such as no plug for the bath- why not put in a proper shower unit if thats all they wanted you to have, only two tiny cups for tea and not enough coat hangers. Food was good nothing different to anywhere else ive been.location was lovely it would be nice to have a few more shops in walking distance to break up your day as all there really is to do is lie by the pool or go to beach.Pool was too small for complex and I didnt think it was kept partically clean drains stank! We didn't really have any problems with space yes we did put towels down at 6.30 every morning but thats all part of your holiday isn't it! Staff were all very friendly and well organised the managers kept a close eye on things which brings me to the first choice reps who were all a waste of time they were all far too young and inexperianced kids club was very unorganised they were telling us wrong times to bring kids also dont book any trips with them its half the price down the road out the front and to the left.Entertainment- we didnt even bother with the reps down at the pool we stayed at main bar area where inpulse were for the first week we were there and then they were moved down to the pool aswell I think so that we could watch football! We sat outside and basically we made our own entertainment which included killing the hundreds of mosys which were trying to bite you- They really do need to buy some of those electric fly killer things as it's a big problem .
would I go again? If they bring down the rating and price-yes.
