On arrival we thought how clean this hotel is,
I will try to make my review easy for you so you can make an informed decision

First lets start with the staff, they are very friendly we found all staff this way I think this is because we were friendly to them of course there is the language barrier but a smile is a smile in any language, so just remember to pack your smile and be polite and they will return this if you are ignorant to the staff expect to get the same back.

Next food, the food was good, my children aged 16, 11 and 09 really enjoyed the food they ate all the time but they never ate of the kids menu as this kind of food is not what they are used to and it was repetitive, I cook lots of foreign foods at home so my children are used to trying different foods if your children are used to eating chicken nuggets and fish fingers then the kids menu will be fine for them, I encourage my children to eat different foods so they were really happy with the menu and so was my husband, there were three theme nights a week and the other nights the food was really nice

The pool was cleaned daily although it could be cold at times but then again I have never been to a hotel that had a warm outside pool, there are lots of sun beds but you will find yourself doing the once German ritual ( which was quickly taken over by Italians and English ) of putting towels on sun bed, I personally said I would never be that sad but when you get down there and there are no beds we would go to the beach, it didn

BLUE BAY ESCAPE RESORT IN CORFU...ST SPYRIDON ...the hotel and surroundings were beautiful we cannot fault this, the food was in a word RUBBISH for 4 star I would expect a higher quality of food, and very bland and boring.

The greek waiters and waitresses were very nice and pleasant but as for the management I've been treated better by Macdonalds staff I was disgusted at the way we were treated and spoken to by so called management.

Entertainment...should there have been some then???? Apart from 1 night of the First Choice staff putting on a show all we had was bingo for an hour then were expexted to just sit and do nothing, we expected more from a

We first visited Blue Bay in 2004 and had a self-catering apartment but paid extra on a few days to upgrade to all-inclusive just for those days.

This was a better arrangement as the food is not very exciting and there is no source of protein apart from feta cheese if you are vegetarian. The entertainment is poor and the 9-14 kids programme was abandoned as there weren't many young folk of that age staying during our first week, the hotel entertainers were much better than the reps at providing things which our son could join in.

The hotel and accomodation was generally very clean but the toilets in the main area were disgusting on the two occasions I used them. Because the hotel is now entirely all-inclusive the restaurant and snack bar staff pounce on your plates, sometimes before you've finished in order to move you on quickly, this became very annoying.

I felt they were under very strict suoervision from the restaurant manager.I also had to go to the pool area before 7.30am each day to ensure we had some shade to lie in. we were also disturbed at 11.30 one evening, after we had gone to bed, by a work man looking for some tools he'd left when he'd mended the shower, he actually let himself into our room!!

We were saddened by the plight of local tavernas which were very busy 2 years ago and are now facing financial hardship because of hotels becoming all-inclusive.

We ate at a local taverna and we were their only customers that evening. I felt quite guilty that we were part of the reason they had lost so much business.

The location of this hotel is quite beautiful but isolated, if we visit this area again we would make other accomodation arrangements.

The all inclusive status for this hotel i thought is an excellent choice.Drinks were very limited though to locally produced and there could have been more choice to allow drinks you usually associate with a 4 star all inclusive venue for a holiday.

The hotel was always cleaned to a very high standard and the cleaning staff were constantly working to keep it that way.More attention to detail could have been applied to the individual apartment rooms sometimes but generally were a very good standard.

The hotel food in general was good for adults who could eat a different range of food and recipes. My sons are 11 and 14 and i think a more varied could be put on for younger people.

The hotel had fantastic views but a little isolated in the North in relation to the remainder of corfu.I hired a car which got us away from the hotel at times to explore Corfu.

The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful throughout our stay and nothing was to much trouble. The restaurant staff were also very professional and courteous but a little over keen at times to get you out of the restaurant when you wanted to relax.

Entertainment was not so good. The entertainment programme lacked innovation and general motivation and were boring at times.Every night was the same, kids disco, bingo and a show until 11 oclock which was repeated in the second week of our stay. Very little was laid on for teenagers in the entertainment programme who just played pool or went in the pool.We had planned to travel around Corfu which we did and made our own entertainment which we and our boys thouroughly enjoyed to the max.

We would visit the hotel again if a future review indicated that there was a more varied and interesting entertainment programme for all ages.

Just returned from Blue Bay Escape and it was a great place to take a holiday.

Food was fantastic if you tried all of the available dishes. Chicken nuggets and fish fingers are repetitive if that

We have just had a fantastic 2 weeks in this hotel and would definately return, however we would book direct with the hotel rather than a tour operator as it works out cheaper.

The hotel is kept spotless and the staff can not do enough to help you as long as you treat them with respect and have manners.

The rooms are big and had plenty of room for 5 of us, although the sofa beds in the lounge area were a little creaky they were comfy.

The food is excellent and theres plenty of choice for adults, the kids menu was a little repetetive (chicken nuggets, sausages or fish fingers chips and a pasta dish to choose from)but there was nothing to stop them from enjoying the adult dishes or salad choices - my kids only ate the kids menu a couple of times.

The daytime snacks were great - hot dogs, burgers, toasties, pizza or kebabs.

There are plenty of sunbeds by the pool however the umberellas providing shade are all taken by 7am so if you need shade (like we did for an 18 month old baby) you find yourself joining the crowd and getting up early enough to get an umberella - we weren't sad enough to reserve them the night before tho.

The entertainment was not the greatest however was in line with most holiday entertainment I have experienced. Mini disco at 8pm, Bingo at 9pm and then something else at 10pm there was a magician, a singing duo that were excellent, greek dancers, Karaoke etc, but with young kids late entertainment didn't bother us anyway.

We found the greeks really friendly all the staff were lovely - we visited Molos bar and one morning my husband went to see if the football was on that night - the owner gave him the remote control told him to watch what he wanted and then bought him a beer as my husband had not taken his wallet.

The beaches were small natural beaches and not crowded which meant you could enjoy them - the water was warm and stayed shallow enough for the kids to walk out for quite a way before it got too deep.

In summary there was little you could fault at this hotel and I would definatelty return.

The hotel is modern and very clean. All the rooms are large and have air-con.

The staff work very hard and are polite and funny.
The food was lovely and we got to try lots of new receipes.
There aren't many drinks for all inclusive but we managed. There is beer, wine, vodka, ouzo, schnapps and brandy. The others are available but you have to pay.

The entertainment is mainly sports based during the day (water polo was a real laugh) organised by the hotels reps. They also do the night time entertainment which isn't up to much but they try hard.

It's bingo, kareoke and a few singing and dancing shows. Most of it is done in English & German as half of the hotel is sold to Germans.

The First choice reps do party dances with the kids every night which can get a bit repetitive but the kids loved it.
We went snorkelling with the Corfu Divers who operate from the hotel which was a great experience, worth every euro. My son loved scuba diving in the pool every day.
The pool was great and really cold which you needed to cool down as the weather was sooooooooo hot.

You will need mosquito repellent and the local shops sell the candles. There are wasps but they aren't a problem if you don't leave sticky drink cups lying around.
The 2nd week was a bit of fight to get a sunbed under the parasols but not too much of a problem.

We would definately go back as we had a great 2 weeks here.

I recently stayed in the Blue Bay Escape in Corfu. Compared to other all inclusive holidays I must admit I was very disappointed in the lack of variety there was on offer for drinks. I also found the staff to have a distinct lack of interest in making their guests feel welcome and the entertainment on offer (or not as the case may be) was very annoying, hence bored children seemed to run a mock around the place. I increasingly found myself having to leave the hotel in able to enjoy a night out not exactly what I had in mind for an all inclusive I would have been better going half board and therefore not expecting to save money. The food was alright but a bit limited for children. I could not complain about the cleanliness and the cleaners did an excellent job. Overall I would not return to this rather poor excuse for an all inclusive, and be warned if you are expecting to get drunk from the Pool side bar think again, I may suspect that is not full strength alchohol served in those tiny plastic cups (either that or my intolerance to alchohol has improved greatly!!)

Firstly be warned St Spyridon where this hotel is situated is NOT a resort, it has two small beaches a supermarket, a small tourist shop and some mosquito ridden paths, if you do not use the hotel courtesy bus, hire a car, or go on excursions there is nothing to do outside of the hotel.

Grumble aside the hotel is of a very high standard, extremely clean as the apartments and grounds are cleaned every day. The food is excellent well cooked if a bit monotonous, (everything with chips). The views are gorgeous, with the mountains of Corfu to the front of the hotel and across the bay at the back of the hotel the panoramic mountains of Albania. A quaint and novel feature of the hotel is where the apartment blocks have been named after Ian Fleming characters from the James Bond books, we stayed in the Blofeld block, (he was the villain with the white cat).

Now for the bad features, the hotel staff can be a bit moody especially the bar staff, the entertainment was terrible, the animation team tried their best but were woefully inadequate for the job at hand. The hotel is described as a family friendly hotel, but outside of the kids club there is nothing for the children to do except go in the pool, my children were aged 3 & 4, and they soon got very bored, the children's playground is a joke with a slide and 1 swing on grass that when it is damp turns into a muddy mire. My eldest was not too well when we arrived at the hotel so we did not put him into the kids club and he soon became bored just going to the pool each day.

I would not book the excursions through the First Choice staff as they are very expensive, and would recommend the tourist agencies that are near the hotel, there is one out the front of the hotel and to the left down the hill, about 100 yards away, we booked an excursion into Corfu Town with them and whilst we were waiting for the coach to arrive which was late the owner bought some toys out for my two boys to play with which i thought was very nice.
When in Corfu Town I would highly recommend going on the Kalypso Star boat trip, my kids loved looking at the sea creatures and the sea lion show.

Be warned however in Corfu town you can be legally mugged, we stopped at a cafe called Tweety's ordered four ice creams and soft drinks and were charged 39 euros, (approx

The food was very good, catered for both children and adults. The whole of the hotel was immaculate, with very friendly staff.(pity some of the holidaymakers didn't know how to say please and thank you).

The entertainment is a no go best stay up at the terrace and let the children play. The beach not as good as it looked in brochure but sea was lovely.

My children were happy and they enjoyed it therefore we were happy. Never did any of the trips but everyone that we spoke to didn't recommend them, too expensive for what they were.

If you didn't put towels down before 7am you didn't get a brolly and there is no natural shade by the pool. Would recommend for those who just want to chill.
