A lovely sand part shingle beach with watersports and taverns very close, well looked after,and always a nice cooling breeze.

the nearest beach has 2 tavernas 1 bar and 2 shops 2 car hire firms.

The resort of Anissaras consists of just a couple of tavernas and small supermarkets that are spread over a very large area , so although you can find most things you will need locally , there is not a very good choice. The roads are very uneven with no pavements so it was a bit scary when walking anywhere, especially with children. We found it better to hire a car and were able to travel further to find a better variety of shops, waterparks etc

This is a clean friendly resort. If you wish to have a quiet family holiday I would recomend this area. All you have to remember is - a holiday is what you make it, and we would certainly be going back in the future.
Being away from the main town the resort was quite clean and relatively tidy. Apart from the evenings when there was in house entertainment there were various tavernas close by that offered live televised football matches, karaoke evenings and quiz nights. If you wanted to go to nightclubs and noisy bars then it was a five minute taxi ride away in Hersonnisos.
Loved the peace and tranquility of it all of course i would go there again. Given half the chance i would make Crete my permanent home and never leave.
