Eat in A La Carte restaurant which us included in all inclusive but you have to pay for your drinks. You need to book one day in advance at the reception. Ask for room on 3rd floor up as these have been refurbished.

Tholos is a small fairly quiet resort, but with all the facilities a normal family would expect for a budget holiday. The beaches and water quality are fairly good.
Apart from the hotels use by the large tour operators there are several smaller hotels which look quite inviting. There are a fair selection of bars and shops throughout the resort.
It appears that the all inclusive culture is having a very detrimental effect on all the small businesses in the area and one wonders how long they will be able to survive.

Tholos is small and therefore not a lot to see but there are a number of bars which are very friendly. We were made very welcome by the locals we met and visited a German bar called Lemon tree and again were made most welcome.

The resort is quiet by very clean and pleasant. There were a few bars and one disco but we usually went back to the hotel for the evening entertainment or just to play cards with a nice cold drink. We went self catering and were VERY pleased we did. We couldn't understand why anyone would go all inclusive at such a place. We went out each evening and were never disappointed. The food at the local restaurants was superb, especially at Mike's Bar, a five minute walk from the hotel. We often went for brunch there and later an evening meal. Mike and his son Stavros made us very welcome and we usually stayed in the bar for a while after having our meal. The Sunset restaurant is also to be recommended as is Goodfellas.If we had been AI we wouldn't have discovered any of these places.
The beach is a mix of sand and shingle, not the best we've been to but we prefereed the pool anyway.
There isn't much to do in Tholos but Rhodes Town is only 40 minutes by bus or 20 by car and is well worth a visit. The Old Town is just beautiful. 15 minutes from Doreta Beach is Butterfly Valley. I have never been anywhere like it in my life, just go there!

hotel staff excellent, the best bartenders i have seen ever, specialy dimitris the manager at the night staff of the pool bar, you must visit this hotel, we had a great time and we booked to go again at september,nice place, nice people, nice hotel. have a nice holidays.

Tholos is a quiet resort with only a few bars and hotels...The beach is OK but not brilliant.
Its easy to catch buses and taxis and the resort is clean and friendly....Recommended if you are staying AI.

Theologos/Tholos is a tiny town with 2 or 3 shops and as many bars/restaurants, but about 10-15 car hire shops, which does tell you something about the only Hotel 'Doreta Beach'.
Go to Lindos it is beautiful, friendly and has 2 excellent beaches/bays.
Overall I would say Rhodes is a nice island and I would certainly go back there, but not to Doreta Beach or Tholos.

Resort is small, clean, friendly and not far from Rhodes by taxi (10 mins).
Not far from Rhodes nightlife if that is what you want, but this is a very relaxing, small resort, that gives you the choice of both.

Nice clean area, friendly locals and nice beach.
