I had heard some bad reports about the food at the Conca Park but I can only say the food we had was lovely. The explanations on the menu were a bit vague but the actual food was very nice. The continental breakfast was lovely, various fruit juices, ham, cheese, eggs, bread rolls, various cakes, yogurts and cereals. Always a 3 course dinner in the evening, with at least 3 choices for each course.
Rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard, had no issues with cleanliness at all.
Location was excellent. Far enough away from the biz but close enough to the main square and shops. Probably about a 5 minute walk to the shops and 10 mins to the main square.
The hotel staff were excellent, all spoke excellent english and made an effort to make sure everything was ok and readily gave advice on how to get to places.
The entertainment dint exist as far as i knew but i didnt think this was a problem as i didnt choose to go to this hotel for its entertainment.

The hotel was very nice, deffinately 4 star rating as some brocuhure put 3 star. rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels every day. Food very good with at least 5 choices starter and main for evening meal, plenty for vegetarians and fish choices. Continental breakfast good also with HOT coffee which you don't get very often in Sorrento. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good position for the main town, a fantastic view of the bay from the hotel if you are on the six floor front facing. The rear facing rooms with cliff views are still attractive with lots of wild flowers, cliff facing balconies tend to get more sun too. Because of the position of the hotel the sun does not get on many of the front facing balconies, however there is a large pool with lots of deck chairs, the sunbeds are 5 euros each.

Had a great time and would deffinately return to Conca Park

Having just got married, my husband and I were looking forward to a romantic honeymoon in Sorrento (our travel agent even informed the hotel that it was our honeymoon). Upon arrival at the Conca Park we were ushered out of the main hotel to an annexe just past where the pool is situated. Immediately we were disappointed with the room. It was bland to say the least; all white including the furniture and bedding. Further disappointment was to follow when we realised that the "double" room we had booked consisted of two single beds pushed together; one which was rock hard and the other was so soft it was difficult to get out of - neither was comfortable.

Probably naively I expected to find something in the room to welcome us; some type of honeymoon welcome package but there was nothing.

As time went on the room started to get very cold indeed. Then the noise started from within the building. It was almost unbearable.

The next morning I took a shower only to find that the water was getting colder and colder until it got so cold that I had to get out. We waited for almost an hour for the water to heat up for my husband, but it didn't. That's when I decided enough was enough.

We went to reception to complain to the lady and we were told that she would get a plumber to check out the shower. I told her that I wanted another room as this one was unacceptable only to be told that there were no other rooms available. When I said to the lady that it was either another room or another hotel miraculously another room became available in the main hotel. This was April people, hardly the height of the season.

The room we were then allocated was much better. Smaller, but warmer and plenty of hot water as my husband found out when we moved in.

The hotel food was ok but nothing to write home about, however I can't fault the quantity.

The staff were friendly and for the most part helpful. The cleaners don't appear to be able to work without shouting at each other but thankfully because the main hotel is bigger than the first building we were in there didn't appear to be many people in it so the noise at night was kept to a minimum.

In general the hotel was ok but in my opinion it doesn't deserve a 3 star rating never mind the 4 star rating I was told it had.

I have read many reviews since I came back and they've all been very good so I can only assume that my experience was very much out of the ordinary. However, I very much doubt I would go back to this hotel.
