We stayed at the hotel in mid July, and we both thought it was amazing, the food, location, reps weather etc.

Our room was very clean and to a suitable size....

Not only will we be returing next summer but we will also be bringing friends but also our new baby boy Ashton, who are all looking forward to staying in this wonderful hotel...

The hotel staff were all very helpful towards all guests. We didnt actually try any of the food in the hotel as we were self catering. The hotel is located well - it is a good walk to the main strip though. McDonalds and KFC are near by. There is a supermarket "modelo" really near by which has everything you need - a few shops inside including clothes shops, sports and games. The entertainment was ok at night , and there was alot of sporting activities that we could all participate in during the day. The swimming pool is really big although it states that you are not allowed inflatables in the pool everyone was doing it. It was a fight to get a sun lounger!!! The hotel has all you need really, it even has a hairdressers! There is a games room and it has an indoor swimming pool. I would defo return to this hotel in the near future!

We thought the Paraiso was lovely. Very big hotel with great facilities, although we didn't eat there because we were self catering. But it was a good location for both the old town and the strip.
We had a brilliant appartment with 2 double bedrooms, a single bedroom, 2 bathrooms, huge kitchen/lounge/diner and a huge room terrace overlooking the pool with a sea view. It was lovely. The staff were very friendly and our room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels. We were really impressed.

Like many after reading some reports on this hotel we were a little concerned as we had booked for our honeymoon however those concerns were totally unfounded. This was my first ever 'package' holiday and Im very picky but Paraiso was totally superb, very classy hotel which was very well located, we were in 1 bed apartment which was huge with aircon, modelo supermarket, banks and local resteraunts and fast food joints very close by, the hotel had excellent facilities and was spotless, did hear some grumbles about all inclusive(40 euros pppd)but given location and choice of eateries you can get a superb meal for about 25-30 euros in many of these places, that said hotel resteraunt(eva) was very good also.10 mins either way to strip or old town, lovely pool and great poolside bar, really good staff and tbh cant say enough positive things about the place. We will definetly be back.

Paraiso Albufiera.

This Hotel is clean, the staff are excellent, very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them.

We stayed half board and the meals provided were of a reasonable standard and a fairly decent selection, they could have been served a little hotter.

One thing that we did find disappointing with the food service was the fact nothing was laid on to welcome guests arriving late, also the hotel were unable to provide a breakfast or a packed breakfast for people departing before the restaurant opened on the morning of departure, we've had better from hotels of a lot less stature.

The overall opinion of this hotel is that it is very nice, not that old however the management team do not appear to be maintaining standards in the hotel, it is already being to suffer from lack of investment. Repairs that are needed are not or do not appear to be getting attention. Cracked mirrors, broken floor tiles, grouting missing around the pool terrace, little things but they will mount up and they shouldn't.

One other comment is that should you stay at Paraiso try ang go "All Inclusive" because they certainly know how to charge, it gets expensive.

Maybe one more comment, not about the hotel but about the JMC Rep's. I'm sure they try their best but they are very vague about giving you or obtaining information for you unless it is to do with what they have to sell. If you ask the rep a question and don't get an answer, simply ask the hotel reception, if you ask the rep a question and do get an answer, again ask the hotel reception to get the correct answer, the hotel reception staff are extremely helpful.

we found the paraiso de albufeira to be of an excellent standard, justifying the 4STAR rating.

although we were self catering we did enjoy the Hotel food on several occasions.

Centrally located left turn for the old town or right turn for the 'STRIP', if, like us, you fancy self catering, the excellent 'MODELO' SUPERmarket is closeby. morrisons of the algarve.....

Staff were pleasant and friendly, eager to please and assist in any problems we had.

Entertainment was brilliant for the younger kids downstairs, for the older 'kids' upstairs it was adequate.

DEFINATELY WORTH ANOTHER VISIT.

We spent 2 weeks in the Paraiso de Albufeira and had a wonderful time. The weather in April was good enough to laze around the pool most days, and All Inclusive proved an added bonus. The hotel itself is enormous and very impressive from the outside. Inside it is very clean and spacious. Located between the old town of Albufeira (great) and the "strip" it's easy to get around. The staff were really friendly and helped whenever possible. A new entertainment team had arrived and we watched them rehersing as they only start on the 1st of May, but things are looking good after all the comments we have seen on this and other pages about the entertainment. Definitely go back next year.

We stayed half board on out of season so the meals were waiter service nor buffet which made all the difference, the food was amazing, could not fault it.

The hotel itself was perfectly clean not even a finger print on the mirrored lifts, the hotel sparkled.

The location was fine for a family but if your younger and want more night life you had a way to walk to the clubs, the beach was proberly 10 minutes down a steep hill, fine when your going down but coming back after all day sunning yourself, exhausting.

As we went out of season (husbands 30th birthday surprise)the entertainment was not great but jmc reps did try.

I would definately go to this hotel again.

I stayed at the hotel in january 2003 on our college trip from Portsmouth, England. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and felt that the hotel was very nice. However in january the hotel is mainly occupied by older people and dont think they appreciated 63 18 year olds staying in the hotel. The food wasn't much to be desired but we did have a really nice BBQ one night. The hotel was in a good location. I felt the JMC reps were helpful as I did have my bag stolen and they helped out alot (be wary of the locals!) All in all we had an extremly enjoyable holiday and would go again.

I also wanted to add that the staff were really friendly especially Luis in the bar! I recommend to everyone out there to go to paddy shacks bar on the way to the strip, a little Irish bar which is small but has a great atmosphere. And stay well clear from the american bar in the strip in our group we had a bag stolen and a drink spiked! I would reccomend people to go in january as the hotel is great in the quite season and still hot. The club in the hotel was great and the atmosphere fantastic. my two friends have already booked again for april. We will be back...............
