We stayed in the San miguel Hotel for two weeks all inclusive. This is the 3rd year running we have been. We could not have a bad word said about the hotel and staff. The whole holiday was more than 5* from beginning to end. The rooms are clean and tidied every day, with your PJ's even folded under your pillow for you. The food is great, with themed nights every few nights to keep your taste buds going. The location was right on the beach, but the pool is so good that we stated around that most days. The hotel is not in the middle of a busy, lively resort, but we were happy with the few bars etc that were close by, and there is always the option to go to big clubs etc via taxi. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful always smiling. Hosay the bar manager was a star with us and everyone, a total legend. The whole family had a great time and are coming again next year for the 4th time. Our ages are 33, 32, 27, 7 & 5. But I saw a lot of young groups that love the hotel but have the freedom to get a bus or taxi to San Anotonio or Ibiza when wanted. They stayed in the hotel a lot of the time because you can't beat the nightly entertainment. The Thompson reps were good this year, not as good as last year though (bring back DJ Danny) they kept the children entertained in drop-in club and in the kids disco at night. (only one rep stuck out as being not worth his wages Jumping Johnny). The main part of the holiday that made it for all of us were Zorro and his animation team Chris, Ollie and Natasha, who not only organise volleyball, water Polo, aqua aerobics, football etc during the day, but also put on the most fantastic shows at night for the adults and children alike. Adult humour that the kids are OK to see. They were brilliant and always interacted extremely well with the children and adults alike. Made my holiday and if Zorro and his team left I don't think it could ever be the same. Keep it up guys, see you next year.

Like the Howard clan (don't forget to e-mail us)we had another brilliant time. This was our 4th visit and we will be back next year as well.
Once again the hotel staff worked their socks off to keep the place clean and the booze flowing.
The food wasn't as good as last year, but was still edible and plentiful. Special mention to Alfredo the restaurant manager, who made our last night memorable with champagne and flowers on our table.
Jose and his staff in the Western Saloon were superb but beware of his slippery nipples!
The entertainment was once again 5 star entertainment with Zorro, Natasha, Chris and Ollie being the stars of the place.
Thomsons reps were probably the worst I have come across, and has been mentioned, 'jumping johnny' is a waste of space. But that is just our opinion.
If you are thinking of going to San Miguel, stop thinking and just book it.

Hotel San Miguel is really a family hotel although it suited us as it was low season and there was quite a few couples to mix with. (Kevin and Jean from Bolton Hi)

The Thomson and Hotel staff were very helpful, although we didn't really need the reps for anything important, although they were a bit reluctant to tell us where the excursion shop we had been told about was (Probably because there prices were a lot cheaper than theirs) We went to the Market on the wednesday and the water park on the thursday with them and it came to less than 90 euros for both of us.

Food OK could have done with being a bit warmer, mind you that's buffet for you.

Pools OK but used beach most of the time though, room smelt a bit damp but seemed to have been refurbished recently.

Entertainment OK considering.

Enjoyed holiday could have done with an extra week though!

We stayed at the San Miguel hotel on an all inclusive basis for one week.

Although not a lot around the hotel there was plenty of activities that were hotel based.

The hotel was clean, rooms basic and staff friendly.

Evening entertainment great, beach beautiful, and best of all the weather, we were expecting 20-21 degrees, it reached 33 one day. Kids loved it, our only gripe was food choice, not enough variety at all.

Everything else made up for this though. Think we would visit again.

The family and I have just returned from a week at this hotel and a fantastic time was had by all!

The hotel is in an excellent location near to the beach and other attractions that this intimate, family friendly resort has to offer.

The hotel was clean and the rooms comfortable and we found the staff to be friendly and attentive.

One small complaint could be that there was not enough choice at the buffet on some evenings (although we dined out on a couple of nights as San Miguel has some wonderful restaurants) the kids however, were always happy with the food!

This was the second time I had been to San Miguel, and I loved it as much as the first time.

The Hotel was very nice. The Hotel itself was very good, aside from the pools, anti-slip mats are needed badly as me and my family saw 8 people slip and hurt them selves in one day.

The Pillows could have been a bit softer. I ended up with headaches from them, but aside from that I found it great.

The food I found was much better then last year, purely because they had Gravy!

I though the location was good also because you had a lot of places around you that you could easily get to if you wanted.

Me and my family spent most of our time down by the bottom pool.

Most of the staff where great in helping out in any way they could, there was one or two bar men that could have done with a smile, but apart from that they were great. Well....what can I say? I am amazed at how much Zorro and the rest of the team work, all day it seems and they never let you down. I'm only 20 and I have had so much fun on these visit's, I will be going back next year and most def the year after that. I love everything about it, but most of all Zorro and the team...without them it wouldn't be right. So thank you to everyone who made this the best holiday I

My family & I arrived at the hotel about 23:40, after getting our wristbands we went into the Restaurant.

After we had got ourselves something to eat we then sat down & was told we had less then 5 minutes to finish & get out, not a good start to the holiday we were tired & hungry & being given just 5 minutes to eat was not good enough...I have been to this resort for the last 6 years & have used all 3 hotels, all 3 are good.

However we noticed this year there seemed to be more people that thought it good fun to get drunk & abuse other guests, why they find this funny I dont understand, dont get me wrong it was on vary rare occassions but it did happen.If you want to get drunk & abuse people stay at home, dont ruin other peoples holiday...

The swimming area around the pools does not have anti-slip & is so dangerous, we saw so many people slipping up, one of these days someone will be badly injured safety must come first.

The hotels are in need of a face lift, but I must say we will be going back, even with its faults its still a great place we love it.

Arrived at 2.30am at beach club and were given rooms both sides of kids club. On entering both rooms,we found both were very damp smelling.

Later that morning,the manager found us better rooms on the 1st floor.The cleaners did a good job keeping the rooms spotlessly clean and we had fresh towels everyday.

The restaurant was run like clockwork with a good selection for everyone.We all prefered the beach club restaurant because it was easy to get to,no lifts needed.

The chinese resteraunt was excellent.The staff were always happy to see you especially jose and his gang at the western bar and his "minimum two beers" policy everytime you asked for a drink!.

All the entertainers from the kids club through to Zorro,Kris and Gang kept every one going all day and night.

This is the 2nd time that we have been to this hotel, and we found it to be as good as ever.

We asked for a quiet room and we were allocated one.

We didn't bother with the entertainment, but there seemed to be plenty going on for everybody.

We found the hotel to very clean in all area's.

The food was good with something for everyone,we had 3 extra buffet evenings, and used the Chinese restaurant one evening. If you prefer burger and chips then you can get them at the Western Saloon down at the lower level. The pools and surrounding area's were very clean and there was plenty of sun-beds.

All the staff are very friendly and efficient.

Would we go to San Miguel again? We certainly would.

We have just returned from another fantastic holiday in San Miguel. We went with friends that we made on a previous trip to this resort.

All the staff are wonderful but the cleaners deserve a huge well done. Not only are the rooms kept to a very high standard but some people think that because they are on holiday they can leave rubbish and food where ever they want and some one will move it for them. Fortunately the cleaners do.

The food is fresh and you can watch it being cooked. The new system in the restaurant means that at busy times queues do occur but so what your on holiday get a glass of wine n wait!

We love the location as my children are young I relax knowing that there's very little danger around.

What can I say about the hotel staff. Alfedo and his crew in the restaurant are wonderful. Jose and his bar staff are wicked. If you wish to remain sober send someone else to the bar for you.

On a more serious note I must say a huge thank you to the hotel doctor. My 6 year old son slipped getting out of the pool on our first day there. The life guard came straight to assist us and the hotel doc stitched his chin. He was excellent putting both my son and me at ease and checked him daily for infection.

And so onto the entertainment. Zorro, Ollie, Natasha and new man Chris (Stan has moved on to pastures new)are fantastic. If they don't keep you and your family entertained no one will and laugh well we all had tears streaming down our faces regularly. I mustn't forget DJ Dan, Kiwi, Jen Jen and all the girls who had are kids for 2 hours daily giving us a welcome break.

Would we visit again mmmmm oh yes watch out Zorro revenge will be sweet when we return.
