Just got back from our fifth visit and have decided to keep returning until our youngest daughter decides she doesn't want to holiday with parents any longer - so 3 more visits maximum!!!

Had a great time again - hotel staff are excellent and entertainment team couldn't be better.

Thought food was better this year and although the new layout in the restaurant did cause queues at times, you didn't have long to wait.

Roll on next year

We stayed in the hotel not the beach club. It was fantastic the staff were friendly and would bend over backwards to ensure you were having the time of your life. The hotel was clean and so was the restaurant.

Alfredo the restaurant manager was a great sport and made you feel welcome in his restaurant. One night he gave out roses to all the women as they left.

The food was fantastic there was a wide selection of it and you could always find something to eat. Even my brother who eats nothing ate the most I have ever seen him eat! So the food must be good.

The rooms were clean and fresh towels were given every day. We did have a problem where the maid put two towels in our room when there were three of us in the room! However when I told them at reception we had another towel within the hour! Great service.

The pools were cleaned every day the hotel pool was small but very nice to relax in. The pool at the club hotel was bigger and was cleaned via a filter everyday.

The bar staff were friendly and always making us laugh. Gerva who was on the pool bar was a great laugh. And the western saloon staff were out of this world Josie and his crew kept us all entertained! Beware of the shots they call the slippery nipple! They are lethal! :)

The hotel animation team zorro, chris, ollie and natasha were fantastic. They kept anyone of any age entertained! If they dont make you laugh nobody will! We had tears rolling down our face we were laughing so much!

The thomson team were the best I have seen out of the 5 I have seen! DJ dan is great! Always has a smile on his face ready for a chat! The kids loved him every where he went kids used to shout him! Jen Jen and Kiri were both fantastic and a great laugh they ran a club for teenagers called the grid. When it was on we didn't see my brother!

Would I visit this hotel again? Definately yes!! People who complain should go self catering in Butlins :)

This was the 1st time we've gone all inclusive and doubt we'll holiday any other way in the future. The only fault was no pint glasses!!!
The hotel was good, food was typical fair although they did have a fish theme night. We also used the Chinese restutant which was good but a bit rushed as we were in the 1st sitting. A tip if your going up to Hotel Galleon's mexican bar for lunch order double as the portions are very small.
The entertainment staff were superb from 11am to 11pm. Somthing for all the family all day long.

The down side to our holiday was that we were on the 7th floor right under the resturant. No need to set an alarm clock 8am sharp footsteps and chairs being dragged around above us.
If I could guarantee not being on the 7th floor We'd definitely go back.

The beach is very clean and quiet a good option if round the pool is too busy(you have to pay for sunbeds though).

Our second year here, this time we stayed in the hotel as opposed to the Beach Club. We prefer the Beach Club as the lifts in the hotel are very busy, as is the restaurant, and the hotel rooms are not as big as in the Beach Club. Having said that, we had the most fantastic time, and want to return next year.

Food - very good with a lot of choice, although we prefer to eat in the beach club restaurant which is smaller but more efficient. If there is the occasional day when the food is not quite what you want, you can always eat out!!!

Room - a bit of a squeeze for 2 adults and 2 fourteen year olds, but hey, you really only sleep and shower there so its fine. Maids were brilliant, room always cleaned to excellent standard and fresh towels/sheets regularly.

There is a slight smell near the pool filtration plants, but unless you choose to sit right there it will not disturb you.

The air conditioned bar (hotel ground floor) is lovely and cool, only spoilt by parents who allow their kids to run in there dripping wet from the pool (there are notices saying not to do that but they seem to be ignored) - this creates a hazard as the floors get very slippery indeed.

Cleanliness - can't fault the tireless efforts of the staff who clean constantly, but if the guests were a bit more considerate it would be easier for the staff and nicer for everyone.

Bars - Jose and the staff in the Western Saloon were brilliant as always and the drinks as strong as ever!

Entertainment - Zorro, Natasha, Ollie and Chris make this hotel the best ever, they are a brilliant crew and so friendly. Zorro is possibly the funniest guy we have ever come across, a top entertainer! They will be back next year and we would not return if they didn't!!!

Kids club - although we don't have young children, we heard from others that the clubs were excellent, the best they had come across. Teenagers - there is plenty for them too, but ours made friends with a lot of other teens and mostly hung around with the crowd! They had a brilliant time and really didn't want to come home.

All in all, there are hotels all over the world with nice beaches and pools, but this complex is unique because of the staff. So many staff remembered us from last year and greeted us like old friends. If you stay in the hotel and want to eat in the beach club (or vice versa) you are supposed to get a ticket a day in advance from reception, but the beach club restaurant manager remembered us and told us we could eat in his restaurant whenever we wanted! We find that a smile, please and thank you cost nothing but go a long way, and we were treated wonderfully for the whole fortnight.

I highly recommend this holiday and can't wait to return!

3rd time at this hotel and as usual BRILLIANT! Never knew I could enjoy the same place so much again and again.

The maids were very good making sure our room was clean everyday, and to very high standards. They were also very polite and always said hello to us.

Food was very good and always varied each night. The fish night and carvery were especially good, and it was nice to see Israel dressed as a sailor. Was nice again to have endless ice cream as i know that came in very handy, and the popcorn just couldn't be missed.

Can't complain on the location. Yes it is very quiet but for some people this is perfect, as you don't really need to leave the hotel as everything is provided there for you.

Now where to begin with the hotel staff. Every year I have been, they have been excellent. The whole of the Western Saloon staff were amazing, and could always make you smile, especially Joe who remains someone very special. Thanks to them I ate very healthily for a few days as at lunch they always dragged me over and fed me, not that I am complaining. At the club bar, again they were all brilliant. Israel being by far the best looking, and was very sweet. Also thank you to Gervasio, my holiday wouldn't be the same without you.

The entertainment yet again was amazing. Zoro, Ollie, Chris and Natasha! Missed Stan very much this year, but Chris was just as good. I also managed to find out Zorro

Well we have just returned from what I can say one of the worst two weeks of our lives. The room which we were allocated 225 had a large damp patch across the ceiling which you can tell just gets painted over. We got more bites of the beds than the mosquitos.
The towels did get changed everyday but the bed was only changed once and the maids had a habit of leaving your room door open.

The food was absolutely disgusting we lived off salads and toasties as you could not make out what the food actually was. The fruit was left out until it went rotten. Unless you want to eat junk food all holiday you will starve.

The pool on level 0 smells of rotten eggs and the pool at the Beach Club never gets cleaned. My 3 year old son caught a severe ear and throat infection from going in the pool and we had to take him to see the emergency doctor which cost us over 100 Euros to see him and for the prescription.

The couple who were in the next room to us thought that is was acceptable for the husband to walk around on the balcony naked. Not a sight that I want for my 3 year old son.

There were used condoms next to the childrens play area.

What I will say on a positive note that the entertainment by the hotel was top class and this kept us going. The bar staff were very friendly and the the girls as the Kidszone were outstanding.

Please note that when I tried to lodge this review on Thomson's website they would not show it.

I would strongly recommend that if you have booked for this resort that you ask to be transferred.

OK here goes, sorry this may be a bit long winded. Just got back from our 3rd visit to this hotel and once again we had another excellent holiday. We are a family of 4 with our two kids being 5 & 3. I will break this review down into different categories, giving our opinion honestly.

We have always stayed in the hotel, - not the beach club so I can't comment on the food in the beach club.
So, to the food. We found that the new layout in the restaurant did cause queues at the busier times in the evenings. The standard is above average of the normal AI fare. I managed 4 courses every evening, with plenty of choice of starters, salads, main courses and deserts. None of us are vegetarian so can't comment on this but there was always vegetarian options. At lunchtime you can either go up to the restaurant for lunch or more conveniently use the Western Saloon for burgers, hot dogs chicken fingers chips etc.

As for the cleanliness of the place I can't fault the efforts of the cleaning staff. The problems are all caused by the guests. We found that certain areas around the pool were littered with empty plastic glasses and ice cream wrappers. These areas were occupied by the same people every day. The area that we used was always clean due to the fact that we and others around us made the effort to put our rubbish in the numerous bins that are provided. An earlier review claims that there were flies everywhere. Flies get attracted to leftover food and drinks, so if people can't be bothered to clear away their rubbish, they only have themselves to blame if they are surrounded by flies and wasps.

Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels every other day and the sheets changed twice a week, although the balcony was not mopped down in the two weeks that we were there. The cleaning staff work really hard but they do need some help from the guests.

The location as has been stated many times is very quiet but there is really no need to leave the hotel complex. There are a couple of bars and restaurants if you fancy a change and my 5 year old loved the crazy golf opposite the beach club entrance.

As for the staff, I really cannot fault them. The receptionists are efficient and friendly. Alfredo - the restaurant manager and his team are superb. Jose and his team in the Western Saloon work their socks off to ensure that you don't have to wait too long for a drink and Gerva is superb in the poolside bar.

So to the entertainment. The team of Thomsons reps are the best I have come across in 17 Thomsons holidays. Special mention to 'DJ' Danny, Jen Jen and Kiwi. They go out of their way to keep the kids and adults alike entertained. Then of course there are the hotel animation team of Zorro, Ollie, Kris and Natasha. These 4 are the reason that many people return year after year. If these guys can't entertain you then there must be something wrong with you.

So to sum up, this complex suits us down to the ground. You can either get involved or just chill out. It was great to meet up with people that we met last year. You will not go hungry or thirsty You will not get bored and you will have fun.

The two pools are adequate for the time of year that we travelled but I imagine they could be busy in peak season. The hotel pool does not smell like rotten eggs. The smell comes from the filtration plant at the bottom of the ramp and if you sit more than 3 or 4 yards from it you can't smell it at all. The beach club pool (where all the water based entertainment takes place) is cleaned every day and whilst we were there, was actually closed for a day for cleaning after a child was sick in it. This was a bit of a pain but it was done for our own health and safety.

Sorry for the rambling review. Would we go back? Definitely

We returned to this hotel this year for the 8th time and not without good reason, it's fantastic.

Our room was the best ever, large and very clean, and the maids are a great bunch of girls.

The bar staff are top notch, hello to Jose, Ricky (Gerva to those not in the know) Ram

We stayed in the hotel for 14 nights all inclusive which was great. The hotel and pool areas were always very clean, the food was good especially the chinese restaurant, the entertainment was good throughout the day and night.

The staff employed by the hotel all spoke good english and work very hard with long hours. Thomson reps work equally as hard and were brill especially Jen Jen, Danny and Sarah.

This holiday is perfect for families. The resort itself is very small and we hired a car out for a couple of days to see a bit more of the island.

I wouldn't go to this hotel in the height of the season as I can imagine queues for the lifts and bars would be a nightmare.
