Just returned from Alcudia Pins. It was not our choice to go here as Direct Holidays changed our appartments 4 days before we were due to fly out, we should have stayed at Bellvue Apartments in Alcudia.

We arrived at 11.30pm and check in was pretty quick. Our room was clean and though small was big enough for my husband and me. The beds were dead comfy. I would not have liked to have four people in this room as it would have been very cramped.

We put our bags in and went down to the bar just after 12pm, it was empty and they shut a 1pm. There is nothing to do of a night after the shows finished at 11.30. So not very good for one who likes to stay out late. Though we did go to Picaford quite a bit and it was only 7 euros for a taxi back to the Pins.
There is nothing around the pins that stay open late, even the Underground shut a 11.30. They did great meals at a very good price.

I can only comment on the shows I seen which were not many. The 4 tops tribute band were very good. Robbie Williams tribute was crap we left after about 4 songs. The Supremes weren't that good either.

Well I thought its not too bad at least we can watch BBC1 and catch up on the football when we got back in early of a night, how wrong we were, BBC 1 was switched off on Sunday, I reported it and was told it was a fault but we could still get CBBs so I asked them why and just got fobbed off. It turns out that they decided we couldn't watch football in our rooms as they wanted you in the bars, the reps told us this.So we never even had anything decent to watch on the telly. By the way they switched the german channel of as well but put that back on again, but not the BBC. So we could at times watch some of the world cup on German channel.

Our room was kept clean, but we had to ask for our bed to be changed, we were told beds were changed every 5 days but my husband pointed out that our hadnt been done in 7 days they sent someone to change it that afternoon.

There is a terrible smell outside of a night I think it must be the drains.

The bus service to Alcudia, Picaford etc was great every 15min. The market in Alcudia is every Sunday & Tuesday and was brill. We got the bus most days and found it very reasonable, though market days was a bit scary when they packed everyone in like sardines.

This is not a holiday for couples and I would not go back here, but we did have a good time.

We have been back about 4 weeks after our visit to Alcudia Pins and I have to say we will not be going back there again.

We went 3 years ago and I have to say it seems to have taken a big drop in entertainment and friendliness a lot.

The rooms were very small and not clean at all.We put food in the cupboards only to find the food with ants all over it.

Food in the restaurant very repetative and more or less the same thing night after night.Television was very very basic there were 2 channels in english and the rest of them were German.

Requested a ground floor with pool side view but when we arrived we were given a 2nd floor supermarket view room,We reported this to reception to be told that they cant please everybody.

This was a holiday that I would not say was 4 star but 2 star and will not be going again and will not travel with My Travel again.

We went to Alcudia pins mid may and it was a lovely hotel. We had a 2 bedroomed apartment which was very spacious. There about 6 restaurants you can eat at. Also there is a brill burger bar which the kids love right near the beach.

The beach was right next to the hotel which was great. Entertainment was OK but when we went it was quite chilly in the evenings and the entertainment was right near the beach so got quite breezy sometimes. Some people even brought blankets down from there room.

The staff are very friendly especially the blokes in the burger bar, who worked very long hours but always had a smile on their faces and were brill with the kids.

I probably wouldn't go back to this hotel again as I found the location a bit out of the way, although it is perfect with beach on doorstep, and loads of things for kids to do.

This holiday was everything I wanted for my kids frst holiday abroad! No drunken teenagers making too much noise! A beautiful family hotel, set in fantastic surroundings!

By far the best holiday I have ever been on! My children cried when we had to leave!!

The hotels mini club and entertainers were by far superior to the Airtours 'so called ' reps that wandered around!

Employed by the hotel, were a group of 6 entertainers who practically had sole charge of my kids for the whole 2 weeks!! My kids made lots of friends and it was down to the 'mini club'!!

This was my fifth stay at the Pins and I loved it! I have lots of friends there and I miss them to pieces. Going back again twice this year to see them y mi chico guapo. We are really good friends and I love him to bits, so hands off ladies.

All the waiters are lovely, Lorenzo, David, Rafael, Pablo to name just a few :) Os echo de menos mis chicos!! xx. As you can see I speak Spanish. The guys love it when I talk Spanish to them. Soy la chica bonita perfecta!! Gracias!! xx

The hotel is great! Huge pools and right on the beach, in the perfect location away from any hustle and bustle! It's a must go! :P and its great for kids and adults alike as the entertainers work their butts off Hehe! Great show guys! See you all soon Hasta luego! Un besito X

What a great place, can't believe some of the petty comments on this site about this hotel, for one it is a family hotel so if you don't have kids go elsewhere because kids with water guns, in the pool, loud and in groups is what having fun on a holiday is to a child.

We found the hotel clean to a very high standard considering the size of the complex.

We had a 2 bed pool view room 2 adults 5 children and still plenty big enough, lovely large balcony, kitchen well equipped enough.

The entertainment was indoors because of the time of year even though it was still in the 80s with only one day of rain, we were directly over the top of the entertainment and it never caused us a problem. Yes you could hear it, just, but your on holiday and that's what holidays are supposed to be about having a good time.

We ate quite a few times in the hotel half board restaurant, the staff worked there socks off trying to please everyone, and lots of people moaned on day in day out about the food, but my lot loved it, what were people expecting....god knows.

The beach is beautiful, well kept and safe for your children....i am going again with my family in 10 days this time for 2 weeks can't wait. Anyone reading the reviews on here, please please please don't listen to the negative because you will be missing out, it truly is a great place for a family holiday with your kids.

We stayed at this so called hotel on a allocated on arrival basis we are a married couple aged 57 & 56 respectively and were placed at this place and were told on booking that we would be stopping at a 4*hotel the room was smmelling of damp,the bathroom taps were dirty & tarnished so bad that no amount of cleaning by maids would make them clean?

The bed was only changed once in the 7 nights we stayed there the food was the worst food I have ever had in my life the reps were to tired (lazy) to take any complaints seriously.

I will never arrange any holiday with airtours again in my lifetime.

This was our 1st visit to Alcudia Pins and I did have my reservations due to the previous comments on this website and it's past history (problems with pool cleanliness etc). However, I was extremely impressed with this hotel from beginning to end.

The hotel is geared for families and children, and there was plenty there to entertain my 3 year old boy. He absolutely loved this hotel, especially the electric cars that we could hire for him each evening!! I was extremely impressed with the thought that the hotel had put into in providing entertainment for even the very young children.

The rooms were rather small but manageable - my only complaint is that they were not well equipped for self catering people as the kitchen, and the cutlery, is extremely limited, however, there are plenty of bars/restaurants right outside/or just a short walk away -'The Metro' is especially good for families as their food caters for all ages.

Also, there is a Supermarket on site which was stocked with everything you needed and the prices were very reasonable too.

The pool area was always spotless, and the pool itself was lovely, though rather cold!!

The location of the beach was fantastic - practically right outside our hotel room! (No need to be dragging all sorts in bags to the beach!!)

I really felt that the hotel staff went out of their way to help with any query or request we had (on our 2nd week there my parents and sister, who is disabled, flew out to holiday with us. We needed a wheelchair and the hotel went out of their way to assist with this - we were very impressed and grateful for their efficiency in obtaining this for us!).

Looking at other comments I honestly cannot understand why people were unhappy with this hotel - and I have to wonder what exactly people are looking for in a hotel when they book a holiday, especially as this is clearly labelled as a 'family package holiday'?

I would really recommend this hotel to families with young children as this hotel, and it's location right on the beach, is fantastic.

We had such a good time we are looking to book for next year.

The Alcudia pins is Butlins by the sea - too big and far too many people for the facilities.

The swimming pool was much too small for the 2000+ staying. However, as it looked dirty we didn't want to use it anyway.

2 bedroomed apartment was much too small for our party of 5 and the kitchen was poorly equipped. Cleaners only came in once during our 2 week period of hell although the towels and sheets were changed frequently.

Mosquito's a problem and a really awful smell of sewage at night. We won't go back.

We stayed on a half board basis in a one bedroomed apartment with a cot and sofa bed and two single beds. The room was far too small for us. When we arrived the room wasn't very clean - had to clean the kitchen area and balcony / couldn't put baby on the floor as it was dirty so she had to sit in the cot.

The hotel was supposed to be a 4* but we found it more a 3 at a push.

The prices around the complex were an absolute rip-off the say the least - entertainment was good for the little ones but too many drunk teenies for our liking and drinking seemed to be the be all and end all of this complex.

Definitely wouldn't go again. Butlins in the sun.
