Just got back! Hotel Clean and staff helpful. You must stay in block A as you get Air Con and fridge in the room a definate must have. Room was extremly small for young family of four - partner tripped over bunk bed ladders many anight and not through drink! He is glad to see the back of bunk beds! Food not great but where is?
Location ok - small town not too bad - only 25 mins away from bigger towns. Evening Entertainment from hotel staff brilliant they really do work hard. Would not visit hotel again really because of room size.

I returned from the Aguamarina last Wednesday (19/07/06) and I can easily say it was the best holiday I have taken for many years. It was strange to think on my return that I was put off going there by some of the reviews on this page only a week before flying out...I can only assume that these are the sort of people that complain about everything in life.

When booking as said before please upgrade to a superior room in block A, the air conditioning and the fridge are worth the cost alone, but if you are lucky like me you will also get a stunning view of the bay from your balcony.

The room was quite small, but it was filled with 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds,a TV unit(which also housed the fridge)and we had no problem moving around in the room while all 4 of us were in there. Bathroom was spotless and the shower was excellent. Basically there was no fault we could find with our block 'A' room as we only slept and washed there, we were on holiday after all and spent the rest of the time outside of the room.

The food in the block A dining room was pretty much the same as you get at many hotels in Spain but the presentation was not as good as I have seen elsewhere, saying that it was fine to eat, though I did buy a carton of Cravendale semi skimmed milk from the supermarket next to 'Mi Pizza' to take down to breakfast with me. I didn't like their milk at all.

There are 2 large swimming pools,a large children's pool and an adults only Jacuzzi (smug grin while the kids watched me from the poolside - "no you can't come in here" - "kid free zone"). the water in the swimming pools was beautiful.

The hotel entertainment team were fantastic and were on the go all day and into the night, something to do for everyone and the kids loved them, especially Claudia and Patrick.

Bar staff were also very friendly and helpful.

The beach and bay are awesome, the sort of thing you need to see for yourself to appreciate.I was pleased to see grounds maintenance teams everyday gardening and generally keeping the place tidy.

I would recommend his hotel to anyone and I am looking forward to going back in 12 months time.

Hotel was clean and staff friendly and helpful.

The rooms though were very small. Would be ok for two people but with 2 small children there was little room to move.

Luckily we were in Block A. I cant imagine what it would have been like in Block B with no air conditioning or fridge.

Heard a couple while there asking (unsuccessfully) to be moved to Block A. Id advise anyone to make sure they are in a air conditioned room and if youve a family id say its a necessity!

The food was ok but not great and while a decent choice of food for adults not a great variety for kids.

The hotel location is great. Right on the excellent beach though there is a steepish walk to it.

There is loads of entertainment for both the adults and kids throughout the day and the staff do work really hard!

There are two decent sized pools plus a large childrens pool.

Id only go to this hotel again if I got a cheap deal. Its a decent hotel though and the only thing id advise anyone is to make sure they are in Block A.

Our 6th visit to this hotel and yet again our boys 16 and 12 enjoyed themselves as much as our first visit.

Rooms are ok alittle small with our 16 yr old having to sleep in one of the bunks but he didnt complain. Food was ok again the boys enjoyed the choice on the menu most nights.

Entertainment throughout the day and night is always good ,, Steven, Eric, Michelle and Mercedes doing there best all day and night they made our holiday most enjoyable.

Thanx again management and staff of the Aguamarina we love you all and hope to see you again next yr.xx

The resort of Arenal is beautiful, peaceful and very calming. Excellent resort if you want to get away from the rat race.

The small choice of bars are more than enough, any more would ruin the atmosphere. The hotel is clean and in a good position, however the food was terrible, so awful my husband felt sick at the thought of dinner, which meant eating out.

The only truly excellent restaurant we found was the Acalade as you approach the bars and shops. Will definatley return to Menorca, sadly not the Hotel Aquamarina.

All I Can Say is that this was the holiday from hell and I mean literally!

We filmed our disgusting experience of the Aguamarina and sent it to ITV's New series of Holidays from hell. Like others reviews there was grime all around the rooms.

Everywhere stunk of sewage and urine and the food gave us diarrhoea for 2 weeks! We Would never go back again!

Not having been on this type of holiday for some years, we were unsure what to expect, especially after reading some of the more negative reviews. ( After we`d booked! ). We were delighted with our choice, and are already planning next year`s visit. We picked a good week, before the season starts fully, so there were very few children, mostly families with babies, and older couples, no rowdy kids.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, right on the bay, and you can walk right along the beach to the next resort of Son Parc. The beach is very clean, with safe bathing, and a lifeguard.

The hotel was clean, the rooms were air conditioned, the staff very friendly.

The meals were varied, with something for most tastes, and we certainly didn`t think the plates were too small! Yes, mealtimes were busy even in off season, but we found the later you left it the quieter it was. Sometimes we did have to find our own cutlery, but that`s no biggie. The food wasn`t always hot, but that happens everywhere with mass catering.

We had a room at the back of block A overlooking the pool and the smaller entertainment area which was in use at the start of the week.

We were kept highly entertained watching the aerobics, and line dancing. There was plenty of activity laid on if that`s your thing, its not ours, and the ` Animacion` team worked hard at keeping the few children entertained. Its there if you want it.

The pool facilities were excellent, two large pools, beautifully maintained , two babies pools, and a lovely jacuzzi area which was exclusively for adults. Yippee!! Plenty of sun loungers and chairs.

For a lazy, chilling out holiday this place is ideal, probably most suited to older couples, or those with younger children.

As we had read on other reviews the hotel wasn't much to look at from the outside but was very welcoming, clean, and lovely inside.

The rooms were spotless. The food was very enjoyable although the beans at breakfast were usually cold. The hotel location was very close to the lovely beach and only a short walk from the neigbouring shops and bars.

Hotel staff were always pleasant and friendly and spoke very good english. The entertainment was so so catered more for kids maybe this was because we went early season.

I would definitely visit this hotel again but later on in the season.

Hotel geared up to families with very young children - definitely not for couples- nothing much to do in the evenings.

Food was OK could have been hotter but could always find something tasty to eat.

Staff friendly and helpful, rooms cleaned every day.

Some maintenance needed around tennis courts and perimeter fence but otherwise safe enough in the grounds. We had wonderful views from our room in block A, best we have had for ages. Set in a small cover within a larger bay, beach very good but quiet resort.

Good bus service to Mahon.

We returned from the Aguamarina on 3 October 2005.

We booked allocation on arrival and had not visited Menorca before so were somewhat anxious about where we would be staying. As we approached the hotel my heart sank as it wasn't the most attractive hotel (from the back). However, we needn't have worried.

Once inside the hotel and our room we couldn't have been more pleased. We were placed at the back of the hotel but the view from the balcony was great.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, right on the most beautiful bay we have seen. I don't know what the hotel and beach would be like in high season but when we were there it was great.

The staff were pleasant (especially Fernando who made having a drink in the bar a pleasant experience) and the food was fine. You have to get used to the very small plates though.

The entertainment was good (apart from Mr Aguamarina!) with the tribute to the Temptations being brilliant.
