This was our first time to Menorca. Cala Galdana is small, compact, plenty of restaurants, excellent beach with safe bathing. It is a very clean place. We were very impressed. It was the last week of the season (very little entertainment wise because of this), so what it is like at busier times we couldn't say, but I suspect that it is just as good.

Tried quite a few places to eat etc. We particularly enjoyed the reasonably priced Alaska snack bar. Best place for us, a bit more expensive, but worth it, was The Delit Restaurant just across the road from the apartments. In the day time a good place for a light lunch, was the Toboggan Bar. There are a couple of waterslides, small charge and mini golf etc. Would definitely go back to this resort. Car hire was reasonable with Thomson (book at resort). Four days for about £58.

The resort was spotlessly clean sea warm and shelving. Beach facilities expensive.

Not alot to do here car hire recommended. Nice jewelry shop but not much else. If just looking for a beach holiday look no further.

Buses were difficult to use as 3 different companies that didn't match times but this is being looked into for next year.

We booked a Villa perched on the cliffs of the Algendar Gorge which surround this breathtakingly beautiful resort! Although there are lots of steps aroung the resort, once you get down to beach level it's fairly flat walking around! For the less mobile or the lazy! there is a train which will take you down to the shops and beach and car hire is strongly recommended. The main road into the resort is also fairly flat and has wide footpaths so the resort is pedestrian friendly!! The horseshoe bay of Cala Galdana has golden sand and wonderful aquamarine waters which are safe for children of all ages and when we went in september, the sea was so warm it was like a warm bath to swim in!!! There is loads to do especially for kids as most of the restaurants have play areas in or near to them and one in particular called Toboggan caters for children as during the day they have water slides, mini crazy golf and a playground including a wendy house, table football air hockey and pool table! Although at night, the water slides are closed! All the hotels have evening entertainment and anyone who buys a couple of drinks can stay and watch while they enjoy their drinks. There are also quite a few bars and restaurants too. If you feel energetic you can walk along the clifftop path to Cala Mitjana which takes about 25 minutes which I recommend doing at least once if only for the views of the tiny coves as you descend the clifftop paths. We loved this place so much we have booked to return this year!

The resort is very pretty and nicely set out - some nice restaurants and little shops, but set back, not crowded onto pavements like some resorts. The beach is nice but very crowded - better later in the day. Our little girl had great fun on the little water slides by the big red tap - nice place to enjoy a drink in the shade while the children play - there's a small play area there too. Lovely resort, but it was nice to hire a car and visit other places, too.

The Anabel is at the top of a slight hill and the walk down to the resort and beach is only 5 minutes or so. The beach was a bit crowded but we always found a space. Sunbeds and brollys very expensive (19 euros for two beds and a brolly) We paid five quid for a brolly from Asda and took it with us and sat on the sand (saved us a fortune)Beach bars a bit pricey too so we made up rolls and ate those. Beach was ideal for the kids. Sea was very calm and shallow and if you take an old bread roll you can feed the fish - the kids loved it!

Cala Galdana is a simply beautiful location - we have graded Resort Entertainment as 5 because this is a plus! There is none! - which is really brilliant! - because if you want a quiet, well run resort, with no noise, no loud music, no litter - then this is the place for you!

We have visited other Mediterranean destinations but again and again we return to Cala Galdana on Minorca. The Beach and Sea-bathing are superb in this sheltered bay, the safety facilities are excellent with its own 'Croix Rouge' base fully staffed and situated next to the immaculately clean public toilets just behind the beach. Plus excellent small bars and cafés in the immediate vicinity of the beach.

This is the resort that the Menorceans themselves visit at the weekends and that has got to be the highest recommendation!

The beach is fantastic very expensive for sunbeds and umbrellas though.

Watersports are availble and the resort has the tap and a square at night with entertainmet in which can be very good.

Definitley come back

Cala Galdana is a beautiful resort, but if staying for more than 7 days I would recommend hiring a car, as the resort is fairly small.

Cala Galdana has plenty of good restaurants, I would recommend the Alaska Bar, for excellent food and service. This is found by turning right out of the apartments and walking about 50yds. The bar is actually located under some of the Galdana garden apartments.

The horse shoe bay is gorgeous, but be aware that the hire of sun beds is extortionate!

Been to Galdana before great resort, decent beach head for the trees for the shade.

Shops limited did not really try any resort entertainment thought the road train had gone up in price quite a lot.

We would go back but probably without the kids as I think they would struggle for things to do.

Cala Galdana is very clean - apart from the discarded cigarettes on the beach. The toilets at the beach are clean (which is a first in my experience).

The local buses are very comfortable with air conditioning, and bus timetables are clearly displayed at the central bus stop.

Plenty of entertainment to choose from - free shows at the Cala Galdana Hotel (drinks are very expensive though)and the Plaza.

The beach is lovely, but crowded and great for children as it is very safe. Visit Ciutedella by bus - there are some lovely shops there.
