The beaches aaround the area were absolutely fantastic, we walked to Maracella and found another really good beach.
As for the entertainment we found one bar that was ok. As for visiting this resort again I wouldn't as it was far too quiet for me although my husband really enjoyed it

Resort is the best on Menorca for family holidays. Beach and views are great, Mix of things to do in the evening, - eat out, bars, shops. Not recommended for club lovers though - relatively quiet. near to other attractions like water park, Mahon capital and harbour. Car essential.

Good clean resort. Entertainment can be found in three of the big hotels. But a good meal and a jug of sangria is what its all about. I should not be telling you how great this resort is because every one will want to come here. If you feel like an adventure there are two nice walks to bays either side of the resort, Macarella is about 35 min walk, and lots of steps at the start and end, take water and dont go mad, its worth the walk, there is a beach restaurant with loo's.

The location is simply stunning with a beautifull beach and bay. It is very clean and well looked after. Swimming is safe with water being quite shallow and life guards in attendance on the beach. Cala Galdana is a quiet resort suitable fot those who want a relaxing holiday away from lots of noice. The entertainment in the resort amounts to largely tribute type acts - some not too bad
(particularly liked the Rod Stewart tribute act).
We stayed in the resort for a week which was fine- longer than this you should probably higher a car and visit other parts of this lovely island.

Pristine cleanliness everywhere in the resort. No yobbo´s as there is no real late entertainment.The beach is totally superb and the view over the bay from any elevated area is stunning.
Lack of any entertainment after 11pm is the reason we would not come again.If we did I would not stay at the Cala Galdan Hotel because it is too poor for food and entertainment.

The resort Cala galdana was a very nice one indeed. Everything so close by like the shops and the beach and loads and loads of reseraunts. I would definitly come again! Luv Jo-age 12

The resort is knows as the pearl of te mediterranean and has blue sea like we have never seen before with very clean sandy beaches. Its a quiet family resort so perhaps a little too quiet for the younger folk. Great evening walks and a safe resort with no drunks in sight!! Its a great place if you want a quiet holiday doing nothing at all!!!!!!

Cala Galdana itself is a lovely place although quite contained. There is lots going on in the square every evening and you can go into the main hotel which also has entertainment every evening.
In the centre of the resort is a restaurant with water slides and a mini golf. This is excellent fun for the children, although the waiters were not very pleasant, some just grunted when you gave your order.
The beach is fantastic and is well worth spending time on. The floor never seems to drop so the children are exceptionally safe.
If you like your food then visit Es Barranc and see Edward and the gang, their Cordon Bleu is fantastic, and there chicken breast with pepper or chesse sauce is equally good, and very reasonably priced. There is also Paseo Maritimo, these serve a Menu of the Day, which is 10.55 euros and is absolutely huge. The starter is a main meal by itself, and it is also very nice.
although the reasort is lovely, you really need to be able to drive if you are staying for a two week holiday, or you will get bored eventually. We did and it was well worth it. It made our holiday for us.
