The rooms were very basic but cleaned daily, all other parts of the hotel, pools restaurant and bars were nice and clean,
The food was good the breakfast was the best so much variety we spent luch time in the indoor snack bar where there was breads cheeses tina salads etc which was enough because we'd eaten so much for breakfast!!! dinner was nice too again with lots of variety even my mum was happy and always full and not only is she fussy but also vegetarian!
Most of the staff are helpfull exept some of the bar staff, one 'lady' in perticular wasn't, one evening in the club my son broke a glass and the 'lady' acted as though he'd killed someone!!!
location was fine didn't go to the beach it was far to windy!! the little shopping place over the road was horrible the men tried desperatly to get you into their shops by following you round its very annoying!
Entertainment was faultless every night it was something different, the only boring night was kareoke it was just little girls singing S Club 7!
The kids really enloyed the kids club they also went to soccer school they all lovedit but it very expensive i think it was about

Hotel and resort are great. We requested the new block prior to arriving and were allocated this. The room had a small patch of damp but apart from that was modern, loads of room and had a good view.
We are all vegetarians and we were well catered for with a different veggie option every day. If you go self catering there are loads of restaurants around the resort as well.
Beach was lovely with golden sands and only a couple of minutes away.
The creche facilities and staff were all wonderful and the animation team always got everyone involved and made sure you had a great time. Our daughter loved the mini disco so much we even had to buy the CD!
Trips we went on were great being the Grand Island Tour and Sunday Market. A local company called Last Minute did a much cheaper Sunday Market trip so might be worth looking out for their leaflet.
Weather was great, however, last 2 days very windy. April - July beware is the windy season apparently.
Any problems once at Los Zocos speak to Leslie Garcia, Guest Relations. She really looked after us.
Don't worry about cockroaches as we never even saw one and I was looking believe me.

The staff were fantastic and extremely helpful.
Before we went to Los Zocos, I read some reviews and saw what some people had said about how bad it was, and it did panic me a bit, as we have had a bad experience before in Malta, but to be honest I can't see what people were moaning about.
Our rooms was very clean, and bedding was changed on a regular basis. We went from 18th-25th April and we did not see any cockroaches in the Los Zocos which was a worry for me as I read reviews about how bad they were in the apartments.
We had excellent weather, it was cloudy in the mornings but by 1pm till 7pm we had very hot weather.
We went self catering so we ate out a lot, but there is so much to see and do. So please for those of you that might have felt the same as me before I went a bit worried please don't be as it is a beautiful place and you get treated very well there.
Well recommended.

I was located in Block 3. I e-mailed the hotel, before hand and my wish was granted.
Hotel is clean, and the maids come 4-5 times a week. I found myself having to ask for towels though as they would only leave 1 towel for a family of 3.
On first impression, we though the food was good. Then it all went wrong. After being there for 2 weeks, it just becomes so repetitive. You will always have a the Chinese on the right hand side of the buffet. The food repeats its self after 1 week and its usually cold. On a plus though, the catering staff are really polite and very pleasant.
Evening entertainment is also repetitive. You get this Hypnotist, who is terrible. The animation team, can get quite anoying, although they do make an real big effort with the kids. My most amusing memory from the evening entertainment is the swim instructor. If a kid receives a certificate for swimming, then he has to dance to this song - Hilarious. It's worth going to Los Zocos to see this. The Bar staff, are not the most pleasant as well.
The pools are freezing but refreshing. We had really nice weather, so it was always nice to have dip. Be prepared for the Skin Care Consultant. He will come to the pool everyday, with his microphone and try to sell his sun cream. This guy could sell ice to an eskimo, so be prepared for his sales techniques. Just say NO. Because of the Wife, I ended up bying the tan enhancer, and cream. Needless to say - My tan has gone.
I would only recommend this holiday, for a last minute cheap holiday. Do not go for more than a week.
Happy Holiday hunting and hope this report helps with your holiday choice

We had a two bedroomed apartment on the ground floor, it was very spacious and clean, they were cleaned and fresh towels left 5 times and we had a change of bedding once. My only gripe was the tiled floor could have done with a better clean. The bathroom vas very clean but typical of bathrooms abroad, the shower was fantastic really powerful and refreshing. The only problem was the rooms in the new block are in the shade, so sitting on the balcony wasn't an option and we only had three days of really good weather so the apartment didn't really get any warmth.
The pool areas were really clean and tidy.
We ate the buffet breakfast in the complex and found it to be very good value, it was 5 euros each and included all drinks (they didn't charge for kids).
The location of the hotel was excellent not to far from the centre of Costa Teguise, the town itself isn't that big but there are plenty of places within a short walk to eat and have a drink.
Our 3 year old son went into the First Choice Kids club three times and really enjoyed it, the kids club staff are really good. The hotel also has its own animation team and were trying to get people involved in activities but that's really for the older kids.
Overall we had a great holiday and would definitely return if we could get a similar deal.

We were given a ground floor apartment in block three. When we got to the apartment it was spotlessly clean in all rooms/bathroom, cutlery/crockery clean. Maid service was 1st class. One day we had a problem we couldn

We were automatically given block 3 without pre-requesting, and found our apartment to be absolutely fine. However, we did hear a couple of stories of people having to move rooms because of damp and dirt (literally 2 though). Our apartment was very clean and in good repair.
The kitchen facilites were a little basic, ie, one saucepan and a frying pan, but that's just a good excuse not to cook. And we didn't have a plug for the kitchen sink, which meant no washing up either!!! We did ask for one on the first day, but it never materialised.
Oh, I should also mention that you have to pay extra for the tele, which you won't find out until you turn it on it your apartment - so if you want it, ask when you book in. At 3 euro's a day, we found it invaluable for Cartoon Network. It says you get BBC1, but as soon as East Enders comes on, everyone else puts it on and the quality's so bad it's unwatchable. Channels that are watchable are Sky News, Sky Movies 1 and Sky Sports.
Apparently, the Kids Club was excellent, but we never bothered because there were plenty of other children for our boys to play with and the beach was so close.
The majority of the staff were friendly and approachable, especially the cleaners. We found a couple of the bar staff in Aquamarina bar a tad brusque, and the sweet machine is expensive. We recommend buying beforehand across the road.
The Animation Team were excellent. And with limited resource, they did a truly great job. However, they tried to mime to big London Shows like Chicago and Starlight Express, which would be a huge feat for anyone. The one show we did enjoy was Beauty and the Beast, where the guests play key roles - very funny. And the kids disco is really good, but be prepared to get up and dance along!

I was worried because of comments made on this site, but we need not have worried. We were very happy with Los Zocos for what we paid. I e-mailed ahead and asked for block 3, ground floor, because of taking my 80 year old mother and aunt. We were granted our request with no quibble whatsoever.
The reception staff were pleasant and helpful at all times. Our room was very pleasant, well equipped and very clean. There is plenty of entertainment in the club for those who want it.
My mother, aunt, sister, 11 year old neice and I thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would not hesitate to book at these apartments again.

We found it basic in block 2 but clean and did wake up on the first morning to find a cockroach in our bedroom and we were on the top floor.
We found the food to be really good although most of it was on the cool side, even when we dined as soon as the dining room opened.
We had two very sunny days and cold nights at the start and from then on cloud and high winds. Being January we didn't mind too much. For the price we paid we had a good holiday but we wouldn't particularly return.

After reading reports about the accommodation we took some spray with us and give the kitchen area a good spray but still found one cockroach on the kitchen floor one morning, not very nice for children to see!
The bedroom area and living area are carpeted which is unusual for apartments abroad, what is lurking in them I dread to think.
Not bad but definitely not 3+, more like 2 star, I wouldn't recommend it.
