The hotel was alway maintained very well and the reception and communal areas were quite comfortable. The apartments were 3 star and I suppose thats just about right. There is a little restaurant called Bistro Chef which offers night 3 course special menus for around 10 euro (3.50 for kids) - the food is quite good.

The facilities at the neighbouring hotel, Ocean Palace, are available for use to Nogal Beach residents and although we didn't use them we had a walk around and it looked very good!

There is no entertainment to speak of but there is a kids club with very nice staff - however, the published program changed several times during our 1 weeks stay resulting in our daughter missing some sessions - NOT GOOD!

Overall a good standard of accommodation which I would be happy to return to.

We spent one week at Nogal Beach and were VERY impressed we are planning to return!

The rooms were cleaned throughly everyday however the maids only change the towels twice a week so be prepared for this!!

The location was good, about 5 mins in a taxi to the strip costing around 6 euros and approximately 15 mins walk to the beach.

Hotel staff were brilliant, really helpful and friendly, however a BIG thank you goes out to Debbie the childrens rep whose endless enthusiasm made the kids holiday! Well done and for all the parents reading this you will wonder how you survived without her..... she

Just back from a weeks holiday at the Ocean Palace and thought I would post a few points.

Firstly I would strongly recomend that if you are visiting this hotel ensure you pay for the safe deposit box. After unpacking we went for a wander and returned to our room to find that

the hotel does not deserve a four star rating in my opinion, comparing with previous 4 star accommodation i have stayed in. the staff on reception are quite cold, bar staff were friendly in general. we ate one night in the buffet, not much choice of food. the pool area is very dangerous because of the slippery tiles, actually the health and safety i was told were due to inspect this area the 3rd week in april, so hopefully improvements have been made with regard to slippery tiles, the tv is very expensive, feeding the meter.
unfortunately, we contacted scabies while on holiday, and all the family had to be treated with our gp on return home. i did not think the room was clean, it had alot of wear and tear and the couch or sleeping area for children definitely needed a good cleaning. i was happy with the location of the hotel, we did'nt go to the beach as the weather was not great, certainly i thought the location was alot nicer and quiter than pla. the hotel did put an effort in for entertainment as it was easter, the kids club was expensive.

Faciclities at Nogal Beach are very good - the apartments are kitted out with everything you need for your holiday and if they aren't a short trot down to reception normally solves that! The food in the bistro Chef is excellent if a little to much at times and there is a shop just outside the complex. The cleaning and pool facilities are good and Nicky and sussah on reception are very helpful!

got back from tenerife 3rd oct, stayed at the ocean palace for 1 week. the hotel was lovely but the poolside tiles are very very very slippy, they need replacing before something tragic happens.apart from this couldnt fault it except the hike up and down the hill gets a bit much in the swealtering heat, that got to us a bit and thatis the only reason we wouldnt stay there again. while we were in tenerife we had a good look round and liked the look of the parque santiagio 111 apartments so weve booked there for may. while i was in tenerife i noticed hundreds of cockroaches crawling around the pavements

Have just returned from ocean palace and was very impressed with it. It is very clean, spacious and all staff friendly, apart from the kids club reps who upon my daughters first time to the club they were (3 of them) sitting eating breakfast by the tv, so we went over and not one of them said hello so we just stood there a while until one motioned to becky to go over and as she did so she knocked a GLASS of juice one of them had left on the floor!!! I left her in front of the tv and my husband checked on her 10 mins later only to find her still in front of the tv and looking very bored, so we took her out and she didn't go back!! Apart from that i cannot faulkt the hotel itself (apart from deadly tiles and towels on the sunbed game), the food is lovely and the entertainment looked good although we never got to it as it didn't start until 11 and before that was bingo and quiz, with the evening starting at 8.30 with kids disco, it's also very loud and we were on 1st floor but didn't really stop us or the kids sleeping. There was also a new film on every day at 5 which was great. The walk to the seafront is about 10 mins and another 10 to the harbour and this is hard work back from the beach with the buggy and tired children. I would recommend the hotel but hope they change the kids team!!!Also the reps didn't tell us that you can't get to the top of mount teide as cable cars not working, we hired a car but would have been very cross to pay all that money for a trip and not actually get up there, so just check first.

The hotel is amazing! The people are lovely, everyone is really friendly!

The rooms are kept in great condition, the location isn't the best but i'm lazy its only a 15 minute walk! The food was really good!

The staff are the best I went the past three years and most of the same people work there!! David is the best barman ever and very friendly! Rafa is the best entertainer but he wasn't there when I went back last year!! Unfortunately!

I met some great friends there Bex, Lewis, Nathaniel, Nicole, Nicola, Adam, Craig, Sean, Jay, Lloyd etc!
I am returning this May and can't wait to see all the staff again!

We stayed here 17th to 24th January had a brilliant time although found the drinks in the bar quite expensive compared to other places. It was very clean and very quiet a bit too far away from the ameneties for us. As we have stayed in the Torviscas area many times and we have our favourite places and we really only stayed here as it was a last minute thing and we couldn't get in to our first choice, but having said that I could not fault it. Try out the Mini Golf on the top floor of the El Duque centre fun for all the family. We stayed on the 2nd floor and could here the entertainment most nights, it wasn't too much of a problem for us as our kids are teenagers but it must be dreadful on the 1st floor and if you have small children.

what can i say.on 29112002 i returned from my 3rd consecutive holidayin november to ocean palace.i travelled with my husband and my son george age9 and daughter jenna age 3.that place just improves every year it has all the qualities for a perfect family holiday. the added bonus this year was the kids club which not only was run efficiently but was thoroughly enjoyed by both my children.there were organised outings for the children,my son went bowling for 10 euros and both my children went to the kiddies palace indoor play area for 8 euros each.activities were also arranged for the playroom and round the pool which gave myself and my husband plenty of time to relax
the ocean palace for me is ideally placed well out of the hustle and bustle oflas americas yet only 10 minutes to the terrific beach at costa adeje, also if you want to shop, ther is nothing that you cannot buy.
moving on to the hotel food the breakfasts were great and the dinners were equally enjoyable although we did eat out twice just for the change of scenery,on the understanding that we always made it back for the kids disco.
the entertainment was enough for a family holiday our favourite show was the performing parrotsand the bingo always went down a treat.
.all that was left for me to do was to book for next winter and look forward yet again in anticipation of yet another great holiday.
