we arrived at 10pm on sunday night so were to late to have our meal, first impresions were good, until we had to use the service lifts as the customers lift shaft was being repaired and was boarded up, they were very small and cramped.
Our rooms were nice and clean BUT the beds were not comfy either to hard or springs sticking in you when you moved.
We felt some of the bar staff didn't like the full inclusive way and not everything was included like many other hotels we have stopped in.
The food was not varied, the breakfast was the same every morning for 14 days, but what we did have was very nice.
We felt there were not enough staff in the restraunt and parts of it were shut off so we had quite a few problems sitting togeather as 7 and had to sit seperate. It was also hot and uncomfortable to sit and eat the evening meal in the reastraunt.
The entertainment staff were fantastic, especially Phillip and worked realy hard day and night, the shows they put on were good for adults and children alike.
We were told that our fully inclusive bands would be taken off at 12 midday even though we didn't leave hotel til 6pm, we paid 20 euros to keep the room til 4pm.We rang the cosmos rep to complain saying that this was not fully inclusive if we have to start paying for food and drink, she was very unhelpful and said thats how it is with all fully inclusive on tenerife, which we no is a lie.
We would never go back to this hotel, we felt it was not geared up for fully inclusive.
The hotel was only partly full so we had no problems finding a sunbed but if it was full i think you may have a problem.
The pool area was clean and the pool men worked hard looking after it, the life guard spent most of her time on her phone.

No we didn't like this hotel because of the following reasons.
Balcony was dirty as people threw their rubbish onto it from upper floors and it was never cleaned.
Food was mostly unpleasant, found flies in the beans and pasta on 2 separate occasions, not enough staff cleaning the tables.
2 of the bars were shut during the 2 weeks we were there, other activities that would normally be AI were charged for.
Difficult to sleep as the cockroaches would appear during the night when you put the lights out.
Some of the reception staff were rude and unhelpful.

wife and myself stayed for a week and did enjoy even if it was mostly overcast.
everything fine with this hotel & yes i would go back but i was disappointed with the food.
i had to wait 8 minutes on a omelet one morning, some food not as hot as is should've been.
the desserts never changed all week (nothing wrong with then).
the restaurant area was not run properly morning and night, in fact it looked like it was short staffed.

the maids done a fine job...nice and clean

location was good.

stayed at this hotel over xmas, the hotel is in a nice spot and it was very clean. However the food was appalling it was just like a hospital canteen. It was only 3 star, but i would have expected the meals to have been a lot better. We have been to Tenerife in particular Los Cristianos many times but would never book this hotel again.

Cannot comment on the entertainment much as I could not wait to get out of the hotel we ate out most nights.

We emailed the hotel shortly before we went to request a low floor, and we had one on 3rd floor, so that was a good start.Had a family room which was very spacious for the 3 of us. The only trouble with our room was that there was a terrace area on the first floor and sometimes older children/ teenagers would gather here in the early hours shouting and swearing.Luckily this wasnt every night.
There was plenty of choice at breakfast, although it was difficult finding clean glasses for juice. We resorted to cups. There was never a problem finding a table where we wanted one and the staff were very quick at clearing away.Dinner was ok, plenty of choice if you eat meat, more limited for vegetarians.Look out for the tuna lasagne because it wasnt!
We didnt take part in the hotel entertainment during the day but it was fascinating watching Phillipe and the team on the go all day.Felt sorry for whoever had to dress up as Fred for the morning dance as they must have been melting.Mr Macho was brilliant - especially David showing them what to do.
We arent ones for bagging sunbeds but we always found a bed where we wanted to lie and sun shades too, and there were always plenty of spare beds piled up too.
Room was cleaned daily, in a fashion. There was some unpleasant rubbish on our balcony when we arrived that was still there when we left. There was also a tictac on the floor in our bathroom for 2 weeks, that managed to avoid a mop.Having said that, we had our sheets changed regularly and our room was nearly always done by the time we came back from breakfast.
Hotel was about a 10 minute walk to the beach which was ok going in the morning but hard work coming back late afternoon. It was a nice stroll in the evening though with plenty of bars to choose from.
We wouldnt go back to this hotel again simply because we wouldnt want to go back to this resort, its not a reflection on the hotel

I Stayed in the Sol Princesa Dacil for the second time once about 6 years ago and the 2nd time this august! the hotel was brilliant 6 yrs ago but it seemed to have improved with age! one fault i could honestly say was that of no air conditioning in rooms and dining area, instead they had fans which would just circulate the hot air ! climate fantastic 30 - 35+ each day ! day and night entertainment was brilliant and the entertainers always seemed to enjoy there selves!these were david eduardo phillipe reggina nelly and edu before he left! bar staff friendly and would always speak and hve a laugh! even better that my other half can speak spanish they would be more helpful than usual! overall i would rccomend the hotel 2 anyone that was intrested in tenerife! a big thankyou 2 the sol princesa dacil for a great holiday hope 2 cu all agian soon. !ROONEY!( entertainers will no)

We booked the hotel and flights seperatly, both from the internet.
Would definatly do that again as it was only a short taxi drive from the airport and you never had to wait for any buses.

The rooms where cleaned daily, towels changed daily and sheets changed reguarly, cleaning staff are also very polite.

Food was quite repetative and not always hot.. but there was always something there that you would like and were able to eat.

It was always a rush to get sunbeds in the morning as the door is locked until 8am everyday except a sunday. On a sunday there was no rush as people where not restricted to when they can go outside.

Hotel staff were very polite and helpfull if you ever needed anything and most also spoke very good english.

The entertainment was the best part of the hotel. There was always something on for both adults and children. The adults sports ranged from ; football, darts, tennis, table-tennis, water polo, rifel shooting and lots more. The childrens sports were ; crazy mat (foam mat which you ran across the water on ; for both adults and chilren), football, tennis, (super jumper, climbing wall, and pancake making where all at a cost), water polo, mini golf.
Phillipe was extremly good with the children and they all loved him. The two Eduardos and David did a lot of the adult activites they are amazing too.
The girls were not as involved in the day time activites much except for Regina doing the water aerobics.

The entertainment at night was good and there was a different show on most nights and most shows everybody could watch. If the shows were not suitable the children were allowed to go downstairs and watch a DVD.

I would definatly come back to this hotel again and i would also recommend it to families.

We booked the hotel on the internet and booked our own flights which turne out to be a good idea as other guests said they had long waits for airport transfer buses.

Although we booked bed and breakfast we were offered full board for a little extra on arrival we declined as we like to eat out at night at a time and style that suits us.

We tried a few spanish restraunts bur were disappoited at most as they all seemed to offer similar stuff, fresh fish (expensive) steaks, usually small and thin with mounds of salad filling the plate.

Towards the end of the holiday we found a british owned restaurant on the sea front Amigos, and wish we had found it sooner.

Lovely people made us very welcome and the food was always tasty and the menu massive. We ended up spending most of our last few days there, even for breakfast as it was much better than the hotel and was nice to eat in the morning sun looking at the harbour and just people watching.

They also have good entertainment at night, one of the best rock guitarist ever heard, god knows why he chooses to be at a little restaurant he should be with the best rock bands.

The entertainment at the hotel is fairly good and the staff tried hard but it was always the usual stuff, rep shows, spanish dancing, parrots and snakes.

The rooms are very very clean, every day, but over all we wish we hadn't picked such a big hotel even though its location is great and all rooms from about 6 up have great views.

We would go back though and definitely go back to Amigos for the food. One of our kids is very fussy about eating anything but Mike at Amigos got him having fun with dipping chips in sauce folled but dipping other stuff.

Well done mike, we need you at home.

Very clean and well maintained, lifts a bit of a problem, not enough for the size of hotel.

Breakfast self service was a bit of a scramble and a huge noisy dining room.

Very close to the town centre and beaches so the location is ideal.

Entertainment not great but then we didn't stay in many nights.

When we arrived at the hotel we found it very inviting, it was lovely and clean the reception staff were very friendly. having read many reports before we travelled we didnt know what to expect but we were very impressed.

Having reached our room on the 15th floor we found it very spacious and clean, the only things I have to say about the rooms is that we found the balconies a bit small and the beds were a bit on the hard side other than that no complaints.

The food wasn't too bad it catered for most people, plenty to choose from and if something had run out it was always replaced as quick as possible.

The location of the hotel was brilliant you only had to walk 5 mins and you were down on the front, another good thing is that the tours and attractions get picked up and dropped off just outside the hotel.

The entertainment was brilliant they really put effort into everything they did, there was something to keep everyone amused.

We would definitely visit this hotel again.
