This was our 2nd stay at the hotel having been there a few months before over the New Year period. This time we went with friends (another Couple plus 2 kids).

We thought the standard of cleanliness was excellent (the maids couldn't wait to wake you up should you forget to put your 'do not disturb' sign on the door handle)

There are 2 adequate pools, on opposite sides of the hotel, both of which were fairly cold. Because they were cold the kids ended up in the very warm Jacuzzi's, again near the Italian restaurant. One disappointment was that the pool bar was to shut to be re-painted about 4 days in to our hol so we had a long walk through the hotel reception to obtain drinks at the main outside bar.

We were pleased with the location (roughly 5 mins walk down to the beach). Buses stop frequently outside the hotel which can be a pain if you sleep overlooking the road as they do run late into the night and start early again the next morning. On a plus point we went to the Park Aguilas (animal park)one day (about 10 miles away) and hopped on a courtesy bus which dropped us off right outside the hotel on our return journey.

The food was excellent throughout. It was a case of help yourself to whatever and however much you wanted. There was a fantastic choice of cooked meats e.g. lamb, beef cut off the bone, fish, lots of pasta and of course chips which went down great with the kids. There were no snacks as such but the eating hours in the restaurant were so long that it was impossible to starve. The couple who came with us thought it was really good value and would definitely go all inclusive again, not just at this hotel.

The only thing that wasn't too good was the entertainment. A couple of nights were O.K. but it seemed to start late and there was a long wait in between it starting and the mini disco for the kids ending.

We went out of the hotel 2 or 3 nights around the bars of fanabe which were excellent.

Having said this, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a decent safe, clean area to stay in.

Looking forward to New Year already p.s the weather this May was great (nice & hot)

I stayed at the Isla Bonita hotel for 1 week with my mom and sister. Our first impressions on arrival were that we were about to really enjoy our holiday!

As we arrived quite late, the entertainment had finished and bar staff were cleaning up. After we checked in we went to find our room and again were pleased with what we found. After a four hour flight, despite being really tired, we were also hungry and thirsty. My mom went down to the bar to ask for a glass of water and was refused as the waiter said the bar was now closed. We thought this was unacceptable. Even so we weren

This was our 3rd stay at the Isla Bonita and everything was perfect.

We requested the same room as previous, and this was not a problem. The rooms were cleaned every day, the only draw back was they no longer have movies on the TV.

The food was excellent, plenty of choice for breakfast from a Full English to cold meats and pate.

Lunch was always good, as was dinner, with plently of choice.

The entertainment still leaves a lot to be desired, but most people just go with the flow. As it was April, the downstairs bar was also open, which as nice.

We enjoy this hotel, the staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and the food is good.

Can't wait til next year when we are going back.

Hotel Isla Bonita, Adeje
We went to this hotel last year at the same time (end of Dec beginning of Jan) for two weeks. Not much had changed. The pools have been changed and are much better. One of them is meant to be heated. Some days it seemed to be, on others it was quite cold.

There are four pools, two of which are shallow ones for kids. They were always clean. Also, there are four jacuzzis near one of the pools. There is also a squash court, saunas and a gym.

All of the staff, from cleaners to waiters to catering staff and the folks on reception were never anything else but polite, friendly and professional.

The bedrooms are looking a bit tired and are in need of a total overhaul, but this doesn't stop you enjoying yourself at all.

The hotels own kids club was great. My kids aged 5 and 12 had a really good time with what they had to offer. Jenny and Lillian were very good at the younger kids club and Cesar, Lillian and Jenny did some good activities ie; shooting, petanca, archery, football, tennis, tabletennis....which everyone could join in with.

The evening entertainment was much the same as last year, some was good, some just passable. The mini disco did start a bit late (8.30-9.00pm), but all the kids enjoyed it, especially when Cesar did the Cha-cha slide!!

Food- breakfast was the usual bacon, eggs, and continental stuff, and was nice. Lunch- this got very repetative but was always nicely presented and fresh.Dinner- this always had an abundance of meat and fish which was cooked in front of you, so there were small queues at times. Plenty of veg etc. and various sweets were availablke. There is an Italian restaurant, but it only does pizzas and a normal buffet. There is also a b-b-q which is waiter service and is very good.

The hotel is situated in the Playa Fanabe area of Adeje. There are two largish shopping centres nearby, both with supermarkets. There are two beaches nearby also. The Fanabe beach has very dark sand and a lot of shops and restaurants on the promenade. This beach is good for kids as it has a few play areas and some clean, well kept toilets.

The other beach is the Playa Del Duque, which is really nice , with lighter coloured sand. There are only restaurants on the beach, but there are two shopping centres on the way down to it. This beach is really nice and clean and has clean toilets and showers. We would go back to this hotel.

My fiance and I went for a weeks holiday to this hotel on Friday 26th November. Our room was fantastic - very large and spacious with a separate living room and bedroom. We even had a small kitchenette with a large fridge (which you didn't have to pay to hire!) and hob. Our room was spotlessly clean and the towels were changed every single day. You were also given a token for a towel to put on your sunbed and you were able to get a fresh towel every day.

Although there was a large quantity of food, it all became a bit repetitive after a few days. There was far too much fish for my liking too.

The hotel staff were not rude exactly, but they were very abrupt. I imagine from the ridiculously long hours they work, they don't exactly feel like being friendly!

The evening entertainment was absolutely shocking - we are both in our late 20s and we were bored to tears! There are so many really good bars down by the harbour at Puerto Colon, that you'd be silly to stay in the hotel of an evening.

After reading other reviews on this site, we were quite worried about staying at this hotel, but I can honestly say that we throroughly enjoyed our holiday and cannot fault the cleanliness of our room.

Me and my partner visited in November for our main yearly holiday. I have visited the island on many occasions before and my partner had not and I was really looking forward to taking him as I knew the area and that most of the hotels in that area were of a good standard.

However as soon as we arrived I was embarrassed as the entrance was not at all what I was expecting it was more like being on an 18-30 holiday.

The food was ok and you wouldn

The hotel was very clean and the rooms were cleaned and beds made by the maids every day. The hotel food was excellent, especially the fresh fruit, and drinks and snacks available all day. Packed lunches available if going out for the day and were very nice, also the staff in the restaurant were very helpful.
Entertainment at night started with the "mini, mini, mini, mini, mini disco" with all the kids on stage dancing to various songs followed by Cesar(who celebrated his 40th while we were there) doing the cha cha slide dance. This was normally followed by some sort of show, loved the snakes and puppets.
All in all an excellent hotel and would definitely return. The only downside was the ignorance of the Germans who as normal thought that queueing does not exist

The hotel was lovely, plenty to do in the day like shooting, darts, bow n arrows, football, basket ball, bike rides. (for adults and childern) The kids clubs were fantastic. A park for the kids, and arcade were all the children would go at night. The entertainment was ok each night there would be mini disco and then a show some shows were snake show, magic show, flaminco dancing, dancers, fashion show, bingo, dancing compo pluis many many more then there would be the cha cha slide and a few other dances which everyone would go up on stage and do. Also they would present awards for the winners of the activities! There will be a stall each night selling differnt things for e.g hats, bags and jewellery. The food was wonderful, and there are ice creams and small snacks in the day. The staff r ignorant especially behind the bar they will only allow 2 drinks per person aswell. the maids, waitors and kids club people are nice but the bar tenders and reception are very ignorant. There is also a 2 saunas and 2 gyms, and sports hall. A italian restaurant and bbq. 5 swimming pools and jicuzis. The rooms are lovely and clean also you are allowed a towel for on your sunbed each day one per person BUT WATCH OUT FOR THOSE GERMANS ROBBING YOUR SUN BEDS!!! the hotel is great for kids i have 4 children age 15, 9, 8, and 6 years old and i never saw them because they were either with friends or doing the hotel activitys.

Hotel Jardin Isla Bonita is great.

Food: 10/10 the food was lovely, most of it was cooked in front of you and there were fresh fruit and salad every day. I visited the Italian restaurant on my stay it was lovely, there is also a bbq for you to visit but me and my family didnt visit.

Staff: The hotel staff were all different the children entertainers especially cesar were very friendly and were always encouraging everybody to take part. The maids didnt speak a word of english but they dont need to because they never speak to you any way, the bar staff and reception were ignorant, the waitors were very polite and friendly.

Entertainment: Good for the children (mini disco) then at night there would be a differnt show i enjoyed the snake show.

rooms: very clean, fresh towels and bedding everyday.

plenty to do

e.g kids club, arcade, sports hall, gym x 2, sauna x 2 , pools x 5, jicuzis, park

me & my family spent 2 weeks at this hotel, my eldest son of 4 found the kids club great i thought it was good that you didnt have to worry about the kids they could go off to the park while we was having a drink & we knew they were ok. The food was great & there was always something for eveyone. The entertainment left a bit to be desired as it started late & often carried on until after the bar had closed, it was also very similar night after night (dancers mainly) although there was a good FX show & snake show. I thought the rooms were ok for the amount of time you spend in them. The kids pool area was ideal not too deep so the kids can go in & out as they please, its more of a paddling pool than a swimming pool. all in all a good family hotel
