Food very good but if you havent got children there is no entertainment for adults.
Children everywhere all through the evening - if I had slept in a school there wouldnt be as many about.
Get down for meals early as children mess with the food - I will not be going back as it needs modernising!!!!

Food was really repetitive and unappetising. Squash for juice,no tea or coffee after supper. Bread broke 2 teeth!!!cockroaches seen in the dining room.

We stayed at the Bali from 8th-15th May 2005 in one of the studios. The room was a modern grey colour scheme and was a split level design. It was very clean and looked as though it had recently been refurbished. There was air conditioning, nice clean fridge, cooker etc, very large double bed and folding bed. There was a bath with shower over so you could choose. Large colour TV but the only English channels were BBC World and CNN News.
The room was only cleaned once in the week we were there and the bath towels were smaller than our hand towels at home so if you have the chance take your own.
The hotel itself was busy but well organized. The staff were polite and even though the bar was busy you never had to wait
Evening entertainment was the usual local acts, parrots, flamencos, games, and mind numbing kids records played in the same order every night.
There were 2 large pools but unlike other hotels we have stayed at, the loungers and chairs were never tidied while we were there so it looked like a bombsite for the whole week.
The hotel is at the top of a steep hill about 100 metres up bank but there are plenty of watering holes on the way up (or down!)
The beach is about 150 metres from the hotel, down the hill, cross the road and down 69 steps. Beware of the road however as when the red man turns to green the traffic that has been waiting to turn from the hill comes round the corner and mows you down. The beach is clean and seems to be marshalled by a lady in white who blends into the background until you claim a sunbed then she appears and charges you

Just returned from the 'Bali Hotel' and thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact in the two weeks that we were there, I did not hear one complaint.
The food was good, and plenty of it. We went out most nights because we did not have children with us, but there seemed to be plenty going on in the hotel for families with children.
The rooms were very clean, although could do with a bit of updating, but the hotel made up for that in its friendliness.
We are in our 60's but managed the hill easily. Plenty of good bars, 'Uncle Toms Cabin', Admirals bar, Lilly Langtrees and if you walk up the bank to Bonanza Square, there are hosts of bars and restaurants.
Would definitely stay at the Bali again. We usually stay in 4 star but apart from the lack of luxury, this hotel met all our requirements.

The bathroom was very cheerful and bright, very clean, no spiders!
The beds were very comfy, Sheets changed every day. Balcony was very nice and modern it was very safe.
The pool was great never got bored! there were games everyday.

As we booked this holiday as a late booking, we had no idea until we arrived were we would be stopping! So as soon as we saw the Bali hotel we were both impressed.
Our room was very spacious and clean with all the right amenities for all our needs, and a very large double bed which was great as we was only expecting singles.
The staff were helpful to our needs and rooms have a safe in for 15euros, there was to pools in the hotel but we decided not to use them as we were both happy enjoying the beach's which were very clean and tidy.
Although we never used much of the hotel facilities we really enjoyed our stay at the Bali. The only downside to this hotel is large steep hill that it is positioned on which we struggle with on our way back up with (ha ha).
I would recommend that you go and see the marina which is were we spent most of our days, you can sit and feed the fish on the marina for a 1 euro bargain!
As for our stay at Benamedina we are going back next year for a fortnight as we never got see everything can't wait.

First time at the Bali and won`t be the last, booked flights with easyjet and accomodation with Thomsons both excellent,we had use of reps if we needed them, great if your nervous about diy.
Rooms were basic but spotless and maid service was excellent with fresh towels every day and sheets changed at least once during our stay.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The food is the best we`ve had for a long time, breakfast full english, bacon, cooked, just done ,well done and crispy, 4 different bread rolls and french bread served warm. Evening meal chef cooking meat,fish or carving a roast, 2 different fish and loads of choice of meats each night, along with a salad bar and fresh veg and potatoes and chips. Dessert,loads of choice 4 different ice creams with sauce and endless toppings(a kids dream) and plenty of dried/ fresh fruit, rice pudding and different choices each night.
We didn`t stay in for the entertainment but got the impression summer was better.
All in all 10 out 0f 10 for the Bali can`t wait to go back.

This hotel was a good three star hotel.
Staff were very friendly and there were lounges where one could get away from the bar and entertainment area.
The self-catering apartments were spacious and well equipped but the walls were very thin causing sleepless nights.
The pool area was never cleaned or tidied whilst we were there (fourteen days).
The entertainment was very poor and not worth staying up for. Our towels were only changed once in eleven days but when we did complain they were changed that day.
I think this hotel was probably not bad for the area it was in but this was our first visit to the Costa del Sol and we found it very claustrophobic and won't be going there again.

We stayed here for the 5th time and everything about it was very good. We do not stay in to see the entertainment so cannot really comment.
Regarding the food there is something for everyone as there is lots of choice.
Most people we met were like us and been many times before.
all the staff are helpful.
We shall return to this hotel.
