Hotel was spotless. Staff very friendly. Food of a high standard.
Nice sea view as we were in a family room.
Entertainment could have been better ( not family orientated).
Pool very cold especially once the sun!!!goes in.
No problems getting a sun bed but we had very poor weather in the 2 weeks we were there (16th Oct -30th Oct).
Only 2 days of sunbathing weather.
Harbour area lovely but little entertainment in surrounding bars.
Definately not for families with younger children as there is nothing for them to do in the hotel, apart from the swimming pool.

We have just returned from this hotel, which was spotlessly clean.
Lovely friendly staff although a little more entertainment would have been nice.
Lovely pool, with plenty of sunbeds with the view over the sea.
Food was very nice, with plenty of choice, although the evening meal did not start until 7 pm which I feel could have started at about 6 pm when travelling with children.

Rooms and general areas of the hotel were spotless,and cleaned to a very good standard.
Only comment on this was that the pool area was not cleaned ( Hosed down ! )on a daily basis.
Food was good and restaurant staff were polite and efficient. Never had to queue for a table at meal times.
Entertainment was not up to much , however there are plenty of pubs along the way with the usual Karaoke and singers if you are looking for this type of thing.

The Las Arenas is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. It has been extended and is now even better as its now a 4 star, although the top of the page dosent say this.
The staff are like friends by the time you leave. You see the management around the hotel all the time which is excellent as we have stayed in hotels before and the management never come out of their office.
We even saw the management eating in the resturant which has to show you how good the food is.
The pool was located on the roof of the bar so you got a nice breeze while up there.
We will certainly be back again.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks with our next door neighbours and it is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in.
There was a very wide chioce of dishes in the restaurant and the quality was very good with excellent service from the waiters.
Other than the road outside the hotel which was a bit busy due to the airport expansion taking place, thus quite a few heavy lorries were using it during the working day, the location was excellent with nice views of the bay and the marina and within easy reach of all the bars, shops and eating places.
The Hotel staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough to make youe stay enjoyable.
The only low(ish) mark I have given the Hotel is for the entertainment which I considered average, resident vocalists, parrot show, flamenco dancers and the like.
I would highly recomment this hotel for couples but not a lot for children as there were very few childrens activities to be seen.

Stayed in Las Arenas on a short break with two friends through Globespan half board booked a twin with one extra bed, were given a quad room, complete with small fridge, safe, etc.
Hotel is spotless, room immaculate, towels changed &room cleaned daily if you like cleanliness this is the hotel for you.
Food good &plentiful with varied selection.
Please note no tea tray in bedrooms unusual for a four star hotel. Would recommend hotel to anyone & return without hesitation

My wife and I stayed for 1 week, lovely hotel, very clean, food good, staff very good, no complaints until we were leaving.
At the airport my wife realised she left her mobile phone on the bed and called the hotel to ask them to send to airport and we would pay taxi fare, hotel said no phone was there maid checked found nothing.
Be careful what you leave out, ruined a lovely week.

The hotel was very well maintained in both public areas and individual rooms along with an ambience worthy of a four star rating.
The food was good but lacked variety and the presentation at times was bland.
The hotel is situated on the main N340 dual carriageway and traffic noise may be more than a problem if you are allocated rooms at the very front of the hotel.
The beach is directly across this road along with a delightful promenade, you have to navigate across this highway at pelican type crossings, one which is situated 30 metres from the hotel entrance.
The staff were delightful and attempted to make your stay one to remember.
The entertainment was varied but nothing special, i.e. flamenco, magician, illusionist and a resident singer/keyboards player.
A good hotel which does not cater for the younger generations and personally I found this ideal for I had a most relaxing and enjoyable stay.
