Hotel Triton - what can we say? A pleasant suprise and one we will be returning to. We stayed on half board basis. Every meal was a treat. For a larger older hotel the cleanliness was outstanding. Location was excellant a just a short walk to the stylish Marina.

The rooms are very appointed with large balcony's. The bathrooms are very clean with the towels changed daily and shower gels etc replenished every day.

The pool area was large and uncrowded with beautiful settings and very well kept. Pool towels are provided.

Entertainment is poor but this should not be a distraction as there is plenty to do in the surrounding area.

All in all an excellant holiday that has been recommended to friends and family and as I have already stated one we shall be returning to this year!

Although this is an old hotel, I was particularly impressed with the rooms. They were clean and spacious, the balconies were a good size, the air conditioning was excellent, the bathroom was very clean with a good powerful shower. The bathrooms were replenished every day with towels, pool towels and shower gel/shampoo etc. There is a good fridge and a secure safe and plenty of wardrobe space. I only marked cleanliness as 4 rather than 5 as some parts of the hotel were in need of renovation. The hotel itself was clean enough, but there was a small derelict section around the pool (possibly used to be an out door bar/bbq area) that could do with some revamping as it is just a waste of space really, and the corridor that joined the main part of the hotel to the second building was in need of something to liven it up.

We did stay half board, but we ate out a couple of times too (there are some lovely fish restaurants). The half board option is a good option though. There is a lot of choice both for breakfast and dinner. We ate out on occasions as sometimes we like to make a night of it and eat out late. Times for breakfast were 8.a.m. to 10.30 a.m. and dinner, 7.30 p.m. to 9.45 p.m.

The location of this hotel is what gives it the advantage over others in the area. It is right next to the buzzing marina, right on the beach, and most rooms (from what we saw) had a sea view of some sort. The very busy main road runs at the back of the hotel, and some rooms face it but there are few of them. We had a lovely pool/seaview room. We could hear the noise of the traffic on the balcony but once our doors were closed the sound proofing was excellent. I don't know what it would be like though if you had a room that was nearer to the road.

We arrived at the hotel at 3.30a.m. in the morning. The hotel reception staff were very friendly. They sent us to the restaurant for refreshments that had been left for our arrival.

The pool area is very good. There is a very large sea water pool and a smaller freshwater pool, with two paddling pools. The sunbeds are plentiful. There was an animation team when we were there, but there were very few english children. I liked the fact that this hotel had a very good mixture of nationalities. This is the mark of a very well run hotel in my opinion. Something for everybody.

We never stayed to watch the entertainment as it was mainly entertainment staff orientated and we are a bit past that, so I can't really comment, but there never seemed to be anything on in the evening that tempted us to want to stay there.

We are travelling back to this hotel in October with a group of friends and their families. Although I wouldn't say that the facilities in the hotel were geared up for children, the location makes it so that there is plenty for them to do outside of the hotel, e.g. Tivoli world, sea life centre, beach, crazy golf etc.

Oh, there are two tennis courts and I have thought of one small gripe. We hired a car for 10 days which was very cheap

Located on the beach a stones throw from the Benalmadena Port. The hotel boasts a very large seawater pool, a smaller pool and 2 childrens pools. There are 3 lots of steps down to the pool area and a further 10 steps to the beach, however there is a lift in the hotel which you could use to gain access to the pool if you were infirm.

There are lots of sunbeds and loads of space to put them.

The hotel entertainment is very poor, but gains support from some older clientele.

The staff are pleasant, the hotel is immaculate as is the vast array of food on offer every day. There was something for everyone.

I would say that this hotel is not suited for families with children or for teenagers looking for 'a fun lively ' holiday.

The Triton is a fantastic peaceful hotel mainly occupied by Germans (but do not let that put you off)!.

The hotel is 18 Euros from the airport by taxi.

I would go back to this hotel again and I recommend it to couples and singles over 35.

Travelled with a friend and her daughter on a short break. Very impressed with the standard at the hotel. All areas were spotlessly clean with an excellent pool area; plenty of sunbeds and shaded areas - no need to get up at sun-rise to reserve a bed!

Food was wonderful. Breakfast was of a very high standard with champagne, fresh fruit and a very extensive selection of hot and cold buffet.Evening meal choices were also extensive with a wide variety of food to suit all tastes.

The hotel is in an idyllic setting, just a few steps from a pleasant promenade and a further few steps from a very clean, sandy beach. The picturesque harbour and shopping area was a pleasant stroll away.

Hotel staff were courteous and pleasant and some limited evening entertainment was provided - this was of a fairly low standard but this did not detract from our enjoyment as we were happy with making our own entertainment. Facilities for children were limited and apart from the pool area and a pool table, there was nothing to entertain children/teenagers.

The hotel itself was lovely, extremely clean and in an excellent position, right on the promenade with the beach in front. It had four swimming pools, however we were unable to use them as it was far too cold when we were there, and there was not a heated one.

The food was excellent, plenty of choice and catered for every taste. However, there was nothing for the children. Breakfast wasn't too bad because they would eat toast and cereal, but evening time was a struggle because there was only chips or desserts they would eat. The restaurant did not cater for children at all here.

The staff seemed fairly friendly, especially our cleaner who was really nice.

The entertainment was rather poor on a night. There was something on each night but only for about half an hour or so at 9pm, and again nothing for the children.

I would probably stay at this hotel again, but it certainly does not cater for children at all. It is more suitable for either singles or couples.

Hotel Triton. What a lovely hotel, so quite considering the lively area not so far away. We stayed half board here a couple of years ago, food was really very good. Champagne breakfast and fresh prawns for dinner. The room was so quite, as I said, which made our stay even better.

One problem I thought was air conditioning did smell of cigarettes at times, but otherwise very clean.

We didn't have much to do with staff as we were out all day and didn't stay in hotel at night as not much doing but staff were always helpful when we needed anything.

The pools areas are a real treat no hustle and bustle with lovely grassy areas to position yourself and no rushing to get places on sun beds, we were also given towels every day to lie on if you don't want to bring your own.

We enjoyed this hotel and surrounding area so much we are returning to it next week, just hope it is of the same standard.

Would recommend to anyone without children as not much for them to do.
