Port el Kantaoui is nice there is plenty to do and the nightlife is such that you can relax have a few drinks without hordes of drunks running the streets.

Sahara trip highly recommended. Taks lots of snacks and toilet paper.

Beaches are clean and there are numerous water sports to try out most of which are on your doorstep to most hotels such as Paragliding, Banana Boats, Water Skiing, Jet Skis and Rubber Rings. Camel rides and Horse riding (Aladin Caravan)are all available, minutes away from most hotels - you are collected from your hotel and returned afterwards, (remember to wear trousers and bring a bottle of water with you and some loose Dinar)
You will get to sample fresh Tunisian bread baked in front of you in traditional style, delicious dipped in the sweet honey liquid, there are refreshments available half way through the trip and.
Also available is Quad Biking, great value for money, the trip is of good length and again you get to stop off at a cafe half way for refreshments, great fun and safe to take kids too, again wear shorts or trousers, you will get dusty and slightly dirty.
Overall, a great value for money holiday!

Beaches lovely, watersports cheap.
Bit of hassle while shopping but thats the nature of Africa, so if you don't like it don't go - but don't go to a lot of other countries either as its the same world wide!

Port El Kantoui in my opinion was an excellent resort and i will deffinetley be returning again RSPECIALLY to THE ROYAL KENZ JOTEL an excellent hotel despite other opinions an no im not a travel rep

The resort was superb very relaxing and the harbour made our holiday,superb bars and relaxed atmosphere.

The resort is built for tourists. It was very clean and plenty to do and quite relaxing compared to other areas such as Sousse.

Port El Kantoui and Sousse are fine. The beaches are good and the people are friendly. It was our fifth visit and we will probably visit again. There are difficulties not having access to the local currency until you arrive but the locals are used to it. However, if you arrive in the evening it seems a long time before you can get some cash. Understanding hotels let you run up a bill.

Port El Kantaoui itself is lovely. very picturesque and quite cosmopolitan.Much different to how i expected it. Beach is beautiful.
Marina nice and some nice bars.Had a nice boat trip.
A nice, well kept zoo for children (animals well cared for) and a type of funfair called Hannibal park which our son enjoyed and was also used by Tunisians a lot.
A mainly hotel based entertainmemnt resort but still a fanatstic country.

kantoui is small,very clean and lots of places to eat and drink.the port is beautiful and picturesque,with boat trips in abundance.lots of tours to the desert etc.the people are friendly.taxis are cheap and theres lots of fixed priced shops if you cant get your head round haggling.we will go back but to a more centrally located hotel.
