I was worried about going to this Hotel after reading the reviews and looking at some of the photos in the photo gallery taken in June this year but I had a surprise when I got there.

The work that has been done in approx. one month was outstanding. The hotel itself was immaculate and was kept that way.

Our room was a normal family room with balcony. The double bed was more like a king size, easily sleeps 3. Then you went through some sliding doors into the lounge area with TV/fridge etc where the children slept on the sofa bed, again, this easily slept 3, you could possibly have slept a fourth small child also. We left the bed down constantly because the rooms were that big there was no need to fold it up every day.

The room was luxurious, carpeted throughout apart from the bathroom. No cold tiles on the floor here like rooms abroad usually have.

The maids came in every day to make your beds and change your towels if required. The bed linen was changed about 3 times in a week.

They are constantly cleaning the hotel.

Mosquitoes are a problem on the evenings, not so much in your room as they spray regularly all the rooms and there is a mosquito door on the sliding doors out to your balcony, so you can have the patio door open without having to worry about the mosquitoes getting into your room, but when you go to watch the entertainment, make sure that you spray first.

The food had a few teething problems when we first got there but the longer we were there the better it got. If you have children that are fussy eaters then you are better going to the children's restaurant upstairs, open between 6pm and 8pm. Here they serve thing like chicken nuggets, chicken pieces, hamburgers, spaghetti etc. All the usual kiddies food as well as a selection of Turkish food for the adults. There isn't as much choice as if you go to the restaurant downstairs but they don't do nuggets, hamburgers etc downstairs.

The location of the hotel is very quiet, there is nothing at all around but you can jump into a taxi and go to Sargerme town for 5 Lira, this has a small selection of shops. Alternatively you can go further and visit the larger towns. There are also plenty of day trips to the markets and things that can be booked at the hotel. If you travel into Sarigerme, you can book trips from there at a fraction of the cost.

The staff were very friendly and would help you in any way that they can.

The entertainment on the evening isn't as good as some places I have been too. Mostly singing and dancing. You have the kiddies disco at 8pm then a cash bingo session with the main entertainment starting at 10pm, which my children who are 3, 6 and 8 were too tired to stay and watch most of the time. On the occasions that we did, the singing/dancing didn't really keep them entertained. They need to bring in the occasional outside act to give variety and keep the audience entertained.

The entertainment through the day you can't moan about, there was pool aerobics, darts, water polo, quizzes round the pool bar, learn salsa, learn belly dancing, pool games, you name it, daily. These are done by the Turkish entertainment team who were brilliant !!!!

Just got back from the Palace. Had an absolutely fantastic time (adults and children).

We found the hotel's cleanliness to be the best we have ever experienced. They were constantly clearing up other people's mess, which could have been discarded in the right place. Bins were provided (in the form of empty plant pots) and not the floor where they stood.

Rooms cleaned every day, fresh towels provided every day and children's nightwear (along with teddies) were neatly placed on the beds, along with various bedding formations made from top cover of beds (i.e. swan with swimming goggles, flowers and heart shapes). Hard to explain, hope you see it when you get there.

The slides at both hotels were great. They weren't open all the time but when they were open they were supervised. We never saw any accidents on the slides when they were open but we did feel that accidents could have happened when they were closed as children would climb on them. Not quite sure where the parents were!

There were plenty of sun-loungers to go around you do have to be up a little bit earlier if you wish a particular spot. In our case, my husband, lol. The big canopies provided were great.

There were still people working on the gardens whilst we were there, making good the plants that were stood on! When everything is mature, it will be beautiful.

Breakfast was provided in the main restaurant and was so varied from cooked breakfast, fruit, yogurt, continental style, pastries to toast with many other variations in between. Lunch from the pool bar area was the same every day, i.e. burgers, hot-dogs, chips and toasted sandwiches, but from the main restaurant you once again had a massive choice from hot food to salads (coleslaw to die for) and lovely puddings. Main evening meal was very chaotic as the hotel got busier (2nd week) but once again the food was varied, enjoyable and plenty of. I don't think my children ever got hungry (they even tried new things!) Ice creams are now all inclusive.

Initially when we arrived there was a problem with queueing for beer and fizzy drinks (children had to queue with adults) but nearer the end of our holiday they had set up many more mobile bars for beer which seemed to sort the problem out. No queueing for soft drinks, tea, coffee or wine by the pool but wine was served behind the bars at night. One of the problems we found for queueing at the bars (all inclusive finishes at midnight)was that some people would order lots of drinks at around 11.45pm. and leave them on their tables untouched when they went to bed. Something you would not find if you were paying for it!

The location of the hotel was very remote but a taxi to Sarigerme was 5 lira and the market on Sunday was a good laugh. Lots of "cheap, original, genuine ****" as advertised by one of the market traders and lots of "cheap as chips" as the others would say.

Didn't realise there was a swamp in the area (we never saw it), wondered where all the mossies came from (still scratching).

The staff at the Hotel could not do any more than what they were doing. They worked hard, long hours. I could not believe how many guests had left their manners at the airport. I don't think I would be smiling if people were rude to me.

The entertainment at the hotel was unbelievable. There were kids clubs all day every day and light entertainment around the pools (darts, water polo, quiz, aerobics, dancing, etc). The music around the pool was a bit repetitive. The evening entertainment was provided by First Choice Reps. and, although there were no professional shows, the Reps. did a professional job. We thoroughly enjoyed their production of "Greece". The children, during the day, would watch them rehearse.

My son thoroughly enjoyed the holiday soccer school. The guys out there really work hard with the children.

All in all, we had a fantastic time. All the complaints we heard about (from people who had heard about them) we never encountered. We felt some people were trying to cash-in (compensation) on other people's problems.

I would recommend this hotel to other families and we hope to return again in the future.

We arrived 18 July for 10 days. We are both in our thirties with a 3yr old daughter and 18mth son.

Before I begin, let me remind those of you who are about to travel or thinking about it to keep in mind two things:

1) This complex is designed to hold up to 5000 people, it states it in the brochure that there are 1000 rooms, and so no-one should be surprised when they find a lot of people converged into one (vast) area.

2) The local staff are paid Euro 50 per month. If you have a gripe, scream and shout at the reps, they're not only trained and paid to take the abuse, they are the ones who will get in the neck if complaints keep coming in, so it's in their interest to get them sorted. Make sure to log written complaints; it doesn't take long, and they get counted on stats.

Right down to business.

This place is spotless despite the paying guests rather than because of. It is all-inclusive but doesn't really give anyone reason to litter it. These people work tirelessly to keep it clean, so using the many bins dotted around is no hardship.

Arrival - Dalaman was fine - we were lucky I guess getting our two buggies and three cases through in first 5 mins! First Choice staff are distinctive in their uniforms, but have no boards or anything. Transfer to hotel really is 20 mins. You see the small village of Sarigerme on way (not a bad little place - Sunday best time for a visit as its market day characters). "A" - what was promised.

Room - we stayed in a "Sea View" Jacuzzi Room, and have to say we loved it. Not too much sea to be seen, but technically it was a "sea view". Air-con was available 24hrs, fridge is minibar but adequate for our needs. Maids do a wonderful job. I did tip ours YTL 10 (

Arrived back from the Pegasus Palace yesterday. We had booked with another family from Kent and met them there and we made friends with another 2 families so in total there were 16 of us at times and we all had fab time.

The weather is fantastic and there is a lovely breeze at the resort which makes the temperatures bearable.

We arrived at 4.30am in the morning and was checked in very quickly our cases were brought to our room 10mins later.

The room was ok although there was water all over the bathroom floor coming from under the bath. The rep was made aware of this and with in 2 days it had been sorted. (Couldn't move room as all kids dens rooms were full.)

I would add that our room was very noisy as we were on the ground floor opposite a lift, our friends were on the second floor in the middle where it was extremely quiet

Decided to put towels out at 5am (as heard the stories about lack of sunbeds) there were towels out when I got there. I must say though that there are hundreds of sunbeds (they had a big delivery a few days after we got there) during the holiday I was putting our towels down at 7am but this was only because we needed 12 sunbeds and wanted the big shady areas. Realistically you could still get sunbeds at 9am although the last few days of our stay it was getting busier and people were searching for sunbeds later in the day.

The layout of the hotel and grounds and pools are amazing the pools are def the best we have ever seen and the kids loved them they are so big there is plenty of room for everyone even with inflatables. The slides are great (they have now stopped people going down on lilos and rings) the only problem was when the slides were shut children were still climbing up them and jumping off them the staff had announced many times that this was dangerous but the behaviour continued (not sure where the parents were that should of been supervising the kids) The big white slide at the Tropical is awesome our 2 boys 5&8 loved it.

The food was ok but not 4 star standard but I think we were comparing it to the Holiday Village on the Costa Del Sol last year were the food was fantastic. A lot of the food was cooked fresh in front of you so sometimes you did have to wait but I would say no longer than 5 minutes. We always found the food hot and our 2 boys are very fussy eaters but they never went hungry.

The buffet at dinner is better that in the evenings and it is nice that you can sit outside. The food at the snack bar is ok and it is self service so no queues. We ate at the Italian which was nice but as there were 16 of us the service was a bit slow.

My main disappointment was the limited variety of drinks on offer I like to drink Baileys in the evenings but couldn't even buy it as they didn't have any. We didn't find the queues to big a problem and they def got better as the holiday went on.

As you all prob now know you get free ice creams but when they first came out they were at the snack bar which was great but have now been moved to the Beach Bar so really you have to go there to eat it as it would be melted by the time you got back to the pool.

The entertainment in the evenings was ok but we didn't like the idea of the amphitheatre. So we mainly just all sat around the tables at the bar.

The beach party on a Thursday night is a must it is fantastic I won't spoil the surprise and tell you what goes on but they def earn brownie points with this.

The beach in itself is still very natural but will be lovely when it has been sorted out it is very picturesque.
If you have young children then you will not be disappointed.

The kids clubs are fantastic they run nearly all day long. We never had a problem getting ours in you have to book them in the day before between 4.30 and 6.30pm sometimes you can't get them in the really popular ones but there is always something else on offer as well which you can get them into. The 9-11pm session gets booked up but they never all turn up and if you go along and you haven't booked you just have to wait 10mins and then you can usually get them in. One night 50 kids had been booked in and only 13 turned up so it is always worth just going along even if they are not booked in.

Our boys went to the soccer school for four sessions and really enjoyed it the coaches are great and treat everyone equally whatever there ability.

We had hired a car before we went out for 8 of us for 5 days so we were able to get out and about. We went to Turtle beach which is lovely and well worth a visit. We went into Dalyan one evening which is nice to walk around. We went to Olu Deniz one day which is very picturesque but is about 2 hours away so really need a car for that one. We went to Sarigerme market on Sunday morning which is good fun. You can get 4 gameboy games for

We loved this hotel, yes I think it was probably opened too early because of the few tragic accidents.

Hotel itself was very clean, there were staff cleaning and gardening all the time what spoilt it was the mess that people left behind them ie glasses (glass and plastic) being left everywhere and a certain child thinking it was funny to throw spaghetti around and in my sons face.

Glasses were a bit short in 1st week but ok 2nd. They look like they are being rinsed but they do go in a quick wash dishwasher which does not dry at end of cycle.

Food was good, we liked it not Turkish enough for me though downside to AI. Some people would have liked it to be totally English, one man said 'Turkish pasta what on earth would I want to eat that for' I replied because you are in Turkey.

Location was not great but we knew that before we booked.

The staff were amazing I do not know many people who work from 7am through till gone midnight as some of them did. Maids were great did not have sheets changed every 3 days though as somebody said.

If you were nice and polite to the bar staff they were fine with you and the drink measures well I had to get an extra coke to mix with it as so strong.

Entertainment was good my kids certainly liked it except for bingo I think I am the only one who hates it but there you go 'different tastes' did not see much of it after 10pm as little one to get to bed.

Overall I would go back but could guarantee that the prices would not be what we paid this year. So for the hotels peace of mind they should not get back the trash they had this year.

By far the WORST thing was peoples manners and inability to look after their own children/teenagers.

So for people going in September you should have a fab time.

I think my daughter covered the kids clubs they were fab.

Well all has been said. This is at the moment 3 star accomodation if that.

The hotel itsself is 5 star clean not the public areas 2 star including all pools and bar. The food 3 star as it is improving- if your lucky enough to book a la carte restuarants it makes a change from queuing.

Please do not ask - the location - not breathtaking- marshland and still building sight to the front. Isolated
hotel staff - maids super - management not so. first choice desperate only kids.

Entertainment ok for kids under 12 well the rest are wiser-for adults- you must be joking. No I would never go again as it is so repetitive and so isolated.

May I add due to mozzies and nightmares I will never visit Turkey again please be aware I have been before to Turkey.

We have just returned from two weeks in the Pegasos Tropical with our two children, 12 & 9.

The hotels are isolated, but we knew that when we booked.
The local village is nearby but not a lot in it at the moment, but this is likely to change in the coming years.

We had read that there was no ATM machine there but when we visited there was a mobile bank there and the reps told us it was due to remain there for the whole season.

The daytime at this resort was excellent but the evenings left a lot to be desired.

Staff were were numerous and always polite and friendly, although it may depend on how guests treat them. As others have reported many British holidaymakers make you cringe with shame at their rudeness.

First Choice staff varied, some were very good, but others seemed inexperienced and out of their depth, but I sometimes felt sorry for them at the abuse they had to take of some guests.

Hotel was kept lovely and clean and the whole complex is absolutely amazing. We arrived on 18.7 and only saw work being done to garden grounds which will look amazing when they mature.

Our kids had a marvelous time with both of them saying that it was the best holiday they have ever had.

The pools and the daytime activities were excellent as were the kids clubs. The evening entertainment was quite poor, although our kids enjoyed it but the adults didn't. It was a bit like Butlins with mozzies.

We took repelant with us from Britain, but still got a few bites each night, after or stuff ran out we bought the local stuff and then I only got a few bites in the whole of our second week.

Our bath leaked and we reported it on the second day but it was still leaking when we left after two weeks.

Our air conditioning appeared to be on all day and off at night, we reported it twice at reception with no apparent effect. A maintenance man did turn up one day but did not speak any English and as it was working at that time left without doing anything as I could not explain to him that it appeared to be a problem with the timer.

After a week we went to a First Choice rep for assistance and it was fixed that day.
At last a good nights sleep, but after two nights it went back to switching off at night. The fan still operated but it was blowing warm air around the room and not cooling it.

A major problem was the service at the bars, there were not enough bar staff, although there were enough of every other type of staff, which made me think it was a management policy since they already had your money they were trying to minimise the amount of drink served. In saying that it did improve as our holiday went on, and we discovered that the bars at the Palace never seemed to be as busy as the one at the Tropical.

The choice of drinks which were all-inclusive were very poor, I drink Bacardi and my wife drinks Tia Maria and on previous all-inclusives in both Spain and Greece we had local allternatives to both of these, but not at Pegasos.

The amphitheatre was simply dreadfull, it was uncomfortable, anti-social as you could not converse with people in your company, and there was no place to lay glasses, again a possible mamagement ploy to reduce the drink served.

The food was OK but certainly not 4 star, plenty to eat but often of dubious quality and sometimes cold.

All in all we had a good holiday, but the items which stopped it being a great holiday could be fairly easily fixed, and they may be in due course.

As others have said I think that in 5 years time this will be a fantastic resort in a busy area with lots to do.
