I cant say that I have ever visited a cleaner hotel in all my travelling years! From reception, to corridors, to rooms, to the pool and surroundings. Excellent. Little niggle is that the sugary drinks attract tons of wasps but after a while you just treat them like normal flies although some people still insist on screaming and jumping around like idiots. Mozzies too! Bitten like mad.
Entertainment is really good provided you want to sit in a theatre with no back rest and nowhere to put your drinks. I dont. I like to find a table, relax and watch the entertainment. So we hit the pool bar early secured a table or two for our gang and stayed put! I am now a member of the Dean Weedon Fan Club but, and I know he will agree as we got quite pally, after six, on the trot performances, he did get a little tedious! Good job the bingo kept the wife and kids happy for a little while. Seriously, I think the entertainments manager concentrated on the big ampitheatres and left the smaller venues out. By the time we got some real fun going - it finished! The entertainments team were really good but too stretched over such a big complex. The pool bar was considered second best , I think. Never mind though, we made the most of it!
The only thing that let the holiday down was the Brits. Up at 7 to put their towels out. You cant blame the Germans! You have no chance round the main pool. I would suggest the slide pool, much quieter. You can also sleep in till 9 and still catch a bed or two! You gotta get your photos taken by the pro photographers on site, they are excellent! Great guys too and such hard workers.
Dont take much Lira. Sterling will do. You can buy "top quality rubbish" on the market with a few tenners in your pocket.
Last thing, you must do the Jeep Safari. Top quality! I ignored the fact that I could get it cheaper in town and went through First Choice. Paid more but just felt safer and the jeeps seemed more solid. Been proved right too after hearing the tragic news today.
So, you gotta go! It's brill! Would go back again but I want to sample a few more Holiday Villages around the world before I have to do Disney!

We first went to the holiday village in July 2007 and enjoyed it so much we went back in 2008 and are returning again this year. The location is ideal as you are only 15mins from the airport and after the flight the last thing you need is the kids getting bored sitting on a long bus journey. The rooms are always immaculate and if you need anything there are always maids and cleaners going around. For those of you who get annoyed by maids not speaking English, it is not up to them to speak English...at the end of the day we are visiting their country so try and speak their language! There are a few phrases in the handbook you are given, most people are just lazy and like to complain. Food is fantastic, so much to chose from, though some people do make pigs of themselves and have poor hygiene(probably the reason they sick) not the reasons watchdog gave! In all the time we have been there we never knew anyone to be sick. There are always people who are going to get sick when visiting foreign countries, REMEMBER YOUR HYGIENE! You must try the jeep safari, it is so much fun and totally not what you expect it to be. Totally recommend this holiday, great value for money.

The holiday started with a lovely journey in a golf caddy which was most entertaining. Unfortunatly that was it in the way of entertainment, Sarigerme is something of a ghost village and if your wanting to go to a market go to Marmaris or Ortaca or even Fethiye, the enterainment is poor, you have to be under 6 to enjoy it.

Flies in the restaurant are an irritation and the food is like prison food if you will, but if you manage to book the restaurant (Italian, Asian etc) you are treated like a king.

Hotel staff are unhelpful and reception having no tennis racquets and no table tennis bats either, the barmen/woman are also very grumpy and don't mutter a word and often slam drinks down on the counter.

The pool was closed also for poo, and ear infections aplenty.

After reading many reviews about stomach upsets, problems with bites and ear infections I was worried. I went with my husband, 4 year old son and 1 year old daughter. Thankfully we had a fantastic holiday, no major tummy troubles. The weather was wonderful and the hotel was good. I think it is worth reminding everyone that you are going abroad to a Muslim country, so if you are expecting English food and Gordon

Just back from 2 weeks at the Holiday Village Turkey, and could not really fault anything. The Hotel, room and its grounds were all immaculate - there were staff constantly cleaning the pool and restaurant/bar areas, and the gardeners did a magnificent job of keeping the grounds spotless.
We were on the blue side (Palace) which did appear to be the better side for entertainment / food and bar service. Although we did tend to walk over to the orange side (Tropical) at night, as we preferred the shops there to buy nick nacks - very friendly. Not the cheapest, but then what do you expect when they have a captive audience. A visit to the village is recommended for any larger purchases - the people there are very friendly and do not hassle you at all. A taxi from the hotel is 10Lira. You can walk it in about 20mins but it's not really a nice stroll.
We had a Kids Den, which was very spacious, but they do not tell you before hand that you need to hire hand controllers from reception in order to play the PS2 - we didn't bother. If we'd known we would have taken our own. Fantastic shower and bath, and huuuuuuuuge bed - the whole family could have slept in it!
Yes, the food is repetitive, but there was always something different on offer each night for dinner if you wanted to look - got the feeling that some people tended to go for what they knew was there every night i.e. pasta, rice and chips!!! There was always plenty of lovely fresh fruit, bread, various types of salad dishes, grilled fish, cooked meats and plenty for the kids to enjoy.
During the day at the snack bar, the food was always the same - chicken nuggets, toasties, burgers, hot dogs etc. but again lots of fresh fruit and salads, which is all you really need during the day in the heat. There is a chef at the pizza oven most of the afternoon (beside the main snack bar) who makes great pizzas, and in a nearby tent there is a woman making fantstic pancakes! Drinks on offer were fine, did not appear to be watered down to us.
Free ice cream only on offer for 1.5hours each day, we couldn't be bothered waiting in a queue, and did not grudge buying our kids ice cream from the carte d'or vendor - only 2Lira for a cone, which is less than a pound and the ice cream was lovely.
Could not fault the hotel staff, all very pleasant, efficient and hard working. Entertainment staff also fantastic - always had time to speak to the kids who all loved them. Entertainment at the amphitheatre is geared towards the children, but at the end of the day if the kids are happy it makes things a lot easier on us!
Heard a few compliants from people who had booked tours through the Reps - they tend to take you to leather factories etc. on the way to your destination. We booked through Sarigerme Tours in the village - much cheaper and the lads were 1st class - could not fault them.
My only real complaint is the sun bed saga - although this is not really the hotels fault. People were "booking" there sunbeds very early in the morning - I'm sure some folk were getting up in the middle of the night, to ensure they got the best spot! - and they weren't even German, as this side I think was mostly Brits!! Fine if they were going to plank their backsides on them for the day, but most of these beds lay empty for a good bit of the day - very unfair! It was so tempting to chuck their towels in the pool, but i'm a big feartie and was scared I caused a riot! Within the last couple of days of our holiday we noticed the Hotel had put notices up about the reserving of sunbeds, so they are obviously trying to improve the situation. The Towel Hut is a great idea, fresh towels for the pool everyday, which saves you having to bring your own beach towels.
Sterling taken everywhere, in fact they take any sort of currency on offer, euros, dollars etc.
Hotel spa well worth a visit and prices competitive with home. Hairdressers on site was also very good for turkish shaves.
Beach at Holiday Village is deserted - we went only a couple of times, the sand is scalding. Beach is very clean, sunbeds and umbrellas available, you just help yourself and pick your spot. Beware kids at the water, it's okay for them to paddle at the edge, but it deepens very quickly.
Dalaman airport is a rip-off. You have to pay

we travelled back to this hotel for our 3rd year. This year however was terrible. We booked to stay in the palace but were told on arrival that we were in tropical (right over other side of complex The first choice reps were unhelpful.

The kids club sessions were poorly organised as they done activities outside at the hotest part of the day. My children asked for water in the kids club and were told to wait. Some of the kids club reps were unhelpful and rude. We did not receive any of the kids club and swim kids kits until 4 days before we were leaving.

The food was ok but not as good as previous years. All my 3 kids got ear infections. There were sometimes no sunbeds available so had to sit on the grass. Lack of staff behind the bar and long queues. Water machines switched off and sometimes no cups. My kids were turned away from some kids club sessions due to overcrowding. Swim kids however was fantastic and my kids learnt to swim and received badges.

Entertainment was poor. So many cutbacks made due to hotel management changeover. We had to wait to find tables in the evening to eat. A la carte was fab but you can only use 1 per holiday stay. Overall, very poor and disappointed although I could not fault the cleanliness to hotel and rooms.

The hotel cleaninless was spot on you could not fault it, the housekeepers were polite and did a really good job.

the food wasn't ideal for me but that was due to personal taste. There was always a very good choice that catered for all people and tastes, all very well presented to.

The location is ideal as its near the airport so not far to travel, if you enjoy relaxing and not wanting to do a lot it's perfect. If you want to go out and about then book yourself up on one of the trips on offer.

The entertainment was fair, the entertainments team put on a good show, but they could have tried to get more audience participation.

Yes i would deffinatley go back, this is my second time already to this resort. It was ideal for me taking a 3year old away on my own.

We just got back on monday from 7 days at this hotel in turkey.First impression of the hotel was excellent, marble floors, lots of space and nicley decorated. After reading mixed reports about this hotel I was a bit on edge that it could have been the holiday from hell but it was far from this.

The location itself is a bit isolated but there are plenty of things to do at the hotel itself especially for children.I think i counted four pools which gave everybody plenty of space to either swim or go on the slides.

Both me and my partner were impressed with the food.Lots of choice and something for everyone. The main meal at night was especially fantastic and the wide range of deserts were gorgeous(fresh chocolate cake, banana cake, moose, ice cream, carrot cake etc...

The only down side for us would have been the entertainment at night. It is great for familys things like magic shows and mini discos but for adults there are limited things to do.

In the day was a different story. Both me and my partner had a sauna, turkish bath massage, facial and oil massage and it was the most enjoyable and relaxing beauty treatment we have ever had.It cost around

Just come back from Holiday Tropical in half term week. This hotel was superb couldn't fault anything and i am fussy. It was clean and lovely surroundings. Was given a jacuzzi suite when we arrived which was a free upgrade. Staff work very hard keeping place clean. Was really pleased we were in this hotel as the Pegasus Palace was like Butlins, kids everywhere and it was literally full. It is disappointing to know that next year First Choice are taking over this hotel as well and making the two complexes as one. Both will be full of English then as the one we were at had Germans, Belgians etc. But this made it more refined as they do behave better.
Food - Lots of choice but not always suitable for us English. Obviously no bacon or pork. No real cuts of beef or lamb. Lots of salad selection, bread, cakes, chip/potatoes, and plenty of pasta and stews.
Had a Turkish bath and massage cost

We were a family group of six in total.
The hotel was kept very clean the staff never stopped 24/7.
THe location is quite rural although I would say in the next few years that may well change, just hope the town can cope! The town is only a short walk 20mins max! Use Sarigerme tours (just on the right as you enter town/shops) for any trips though much cheaper and good local info.
Entertainment is what you make of it as is any holiday great for the kids. kids clubs were a hit with our lot.
Food was fine couldn't really complain but well just not hot enough!! which is not the staffs fault but a company one they have the wronge equipment to keep the food hot think they should review this then they wouldn't receive so many complaints the choice was there just not hot enough great shame.
Please don't be put off by this we have been to a few all inclusive holiday villages this one was by far best value for all the family Gran included, would consider going again now thats got to be good!
