Best Hotel we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot through work and personal.

Shame about the beach and beach facilities.
Sarigerme is small and worth a taxi down - about 10 lira. Sasha in the Blue Dolphin restaurant and his friends are great. The Sarigerme tours lot are lovely and the bag man opposite the blue dolphin is good fun and worth bartering with. really haggle for the bags and imitation stuff. They give in in the end. The karaoke bar at the start of town next to the Basket Tours office is good fun, not sure of the Russian chaps name who works there but they are all really nice - strongly recommend the Pina Colada there which got us decidedly drunk but it is made with 'poneapple' and I am sure it is this magic ingredient that does it. The jewellers next door are great - we got a lovely gold ring there.
If you fancy a trip the island tours boat trip with Sarigerme tours was excellent and we hired a car and drove to Olu Deniz - driving out there isnt really that bad.
We had the best holiday ever here and our first in Turkey - would go back to turkey but will try somewhere different next time but that is just us. Lots of people we met had been to the Holiday Village at least twice so it must be good!

the beach was abit odd it wasnt a golden sandy beach it was a gritty grey sand but was clean, and they do have sun loungers on the beach, the sea got abit rough so we didnt venture in to swim we did walk along the shore line tho, this was great.

The village is beautiful. The beach is lovely, though quite a walk out of the village, I believe there is a tractor available to take people down. There is a small charge to enter the beach.

The small village itself is very quiet, no nightlife outside the resort. Only 2/3 bars/restaurants in the village if you wanted something different to do at night.
This was just a bit strange for me as I had always been somewhere a bit more livelier, but now I had my 2 year old son and it was just noce for him and us out for a stroll.

Sarigerme is a quiet one street village surrounded by mountains and probably quite typical of the real turkey although tourism is already having a big impact.Bunting and balloons decorate the street. There is a pharmacy on your right hand side and a doctors just a little further up.there are shops selling everything from buckets and spades to genuine fake clothes. We didnt visit the beach but ive heard its very nice but you have to pay a small charge to use it.There are a few bars and one had a childrens play area.there is a taxi rank as you enter and buses to take you to ortaca, ect or back up to the holiday village which is about a 20minute walk up a winding road or 2minute bus or taxi ride away. There are two cash machines on the right as you enter the street next to the taxis. The people in the village are friendly and not too overpowering and on market day (sunday) if you dont want them pestering you just say so and most said no hassle and backed off.

As a family of 4 with 2 young children we were wary about going to the Holiday Village (Oct 16th 2008). However, the hol was booked and paid for and we took our chances. We were accomodated on the tropical side and can honesty say the only down sides we experienced was the food wasn't always hot (with lids being left open), lots of flies (which we thought were responsible for the bites) and the evening entertainment a little lacking, but aren't most? Food was varied, room clean, staff were friendly and the beach was ok. We can say our whole experience was good. We would recommend buying their local repellant sprays and take more english pound than Lira.

Sarigerme is not really much of a tourist resort but soon will be. You can always get on a bus to other villages. If you visit the village of Sarigerme go to Mr Ramos for a drink or even a meal. There is not much entertainment but you can always make your own. Also go and see Natura Jeep Safaris for a fantastic day out.

The resort was amazingly clean, men were up at 6.00am testing the water of the pool, which was always crystal clear. The food was excellent, and there was a huge variety. Staff all wore gloves and even spray gelled your hands as you entered.

The one comment, I would say was lacking was something like a play park or even crazy golf, as the evenings were quite boring and it got dark really quick. If that could be addressed it would be perfect. We all had a fantastic time and would happily go back again next year!!
