Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

We have visited Icmeler many times and it is always lovely. Very quiet in the last week of the season - just the way we like it. For the first time ever the canal smelled really, really awful and there seemed to be more dog poo about this time but not too much of a prolem if you watched where you were walking.

Icmeler is a beautiful resort, fairly quiet but next to Marmaris for more nightlife. I have been to Icmeler at least 10 times.

Icmeler is a very clean resort split into a modern resort area and the Old Village. There are lots of apartments in the old village and it is worth staying here if you like peace and quiet.
Entertainment wise there are plenty of things going on - both day and night - so if you are bored in Icmeler then there really is no hope. Whilst in Icmeler I would advise at least one visit to the Stella Show at Harmony Bar and I would suggest going for the meal as you get a choice of starter, choice of main course, fresh melon dessert, entry to the show and your first drink all included. You also get a table near the front.
We've never had a bad meal in Icmeler but some places do stand out as good. I would recommend the Lighthouse (near the bank machines)for the fish platter, Aysima (near the central beach area) for the steaks and Apollon (just past the Mersoy hotel towards the harbour)for the plank steak. However, for a few lira more (that special treat night) I would strongly suggest the Kerem ( by the canal near the beach) which is a family run restaurant in their own home!!
We didn't spend much time on the beach but it is always clean and there are some areas where you get free sunbeds if you buy your drinks from the hotel owning that stretch of beach.
Our second time in Icmeler and we will definitely be returning.

Icmeler is really nice place wherever you look their is mountains all around you.
You can have the quiet of the old village or the more noiser of the town with loads of shops and places to eat.
We will be coming back again.

Icmeler is a nice side kick to Marmaris, which offers plenty of bars and restaurants but at a slower pace. Icmeler is mostly flat with a nice walk way along the beach front that would suite wheel chairs or push chairs alike. There is plenty of shops but it is a shame they closed the small market stalls on the canal walk though.

Four young at heart women from Yorkshire.
We had a really good time in Icemeler. The resort itself is very, very pretty and there was lots of good bars and restaurants. Wherever we went we were made to feel welcome by the Turkish people. The only downside for us personally was we found this time of year (july) extremely hot.
NB: A must is the Jeep Safari Trip - it was great fun and worth every penny.
