the beach is fine shingle, the sort that is no good for sandcastles and not very nice on the feet unless you wear shoes, but is very long.

the sea, like most of this area, goes deep very quickly -a matter of just 3 metres out in some areas- but there are isolated pockets where the shelve is less severe.
there can also be a nasty under current when the sea is slightly rough.

just keep a look out on your child, watch for any flags flying telling you about the safety levels on the beach, and probably swim where you see others in the water.

Oh dear, that's a bit of a pain :( :cry , I also dabble in shallow water metal detecting and need somewhere with shallow water too.

I guess I'm gonna have to see if I can change the booking for the Costa Dorado maybe :que
