This was my third visit to the Conrad, and felt the management had definitely addressed the food issue,it had improved considerably.

Cleanliness was as good as ever, and there is gradual refurbishment taking place.

The location is superb if you want to be right on the beach and the gardens are very well maintained.

As for the staff, well they are wonderful,so willing to make you feel wanted and looked after, yes i do tip and i am quite happy to do so as they work from dawn till dusk, and still smile when you pass by.

The entertainment is not brilliant, but plenty of people still seemed to enjoy it all so I would not criticise it unduly.

This was my second visit to the Conrad Sharm El Sheikh Resort.

Prior to the holiday I emailed the hotel to request the two rooms my family and I stayed in during our 2005 holiday, 3131 and 3132. My request was granted which we were delighted about as the rooms are in such a great location, right on the beach with a fantastic view.

I'm going to begin my review with a negative to get it over and done with.

When we stayed at the Conrad in 2005 we were charged for items from the mini bars in both rooms which we knew full well we HAD NOT consumed. As we had consumed some items though it was difficult to try and work out what we should be liable to pay for and what we shouldn't so we had to swallow our annoyance and pay the full amount.

Due to our previous experience we decided this time to ask for both mini bars to be emptied to avoid being charged for items we hadn't consumed.

Between us the reps and myself requested they be emptied a total of SIX times! Nobody came to empty the mini bars.
Ok, fine, we simply didn't take anything from either mini bar that way there could be no question as to what we'd consumed and what we hadn't at the end of the holiday.

You can imagine my anger when on the day before our departure the hotel reception staff tried to bill us for items taken from the mini bars in both our rooms, I was absolutely furious and told them so.
I pointed out we'd had the same problem in 2005 and that was why we'd asked for the bars to be emptied this time. I pointed out the fact we'd requested they be emptied six times.

The staff at reception were very polite about the situation, agreed we didn't owe any money and offered us the use of room 3131 until 18.00 on the day of our departure (rooms are usually vacated at 12.00) by way of an apology, this would normally cost $30 and would normally only be until 15.00 for a late check-out room.

My advice to anyone staying at the hotel would be to absolutely insist the staff come and empty the mini bar the moment you check-in, this is what I intend doing when I next visit.

I informed one of the First Choice reps what had happened and he was less than happy about the situation as he remembered requesting the bars be emptied. He also told me three other guests had that day been charged for items they hadn't consumed. The rep said he was going to speak to the hotel manager.
I suggested the reps warn guests at the welcome meetings to keep a very careful note of what they consume from the mini bars, or better still to have them emptied.

The Conrad is in a great location if you want a beach holiday with fantastic snorkelling but within a bus or taxi ride of the main resort (Naama Bay).
Most rooms are within a couple of minutes walk of the pool and beach, some with a view of both/either. Rooms 3131 and 3132 look directly out over the beach and across to Tiran Island.

The hotel offers a shuttle bus service to/from Naama Bay at a cost of

Thsi hotel eas exceptionally clean and well looked after on a daily basis.
The food was good and plenty to choose from.
You cannot fault this hotel's location only 15 minutes from the airport and on the beach.
All the staff were great. They are happy, polite and helpful.
The entertainment - well now this is where this lets this hotel down. It's overbearing day and night and there is no escape even at the futhest part of the beach! It bellows out over the terrace restaurant when eating dinner. They should provide quiet areas for people who wish peace to eat and drink.
And for that reason NO we will not be revisiting.

From the outside, the Hotel looks a lot smaller than it actually is. It is clean looking and tidy which makes you feel comfortable sraight away.
As you enter, there are two huge pillars in the guise of Palm trees that have a cascade of water running down from the ceiling between them which then flows down through and around the seating area of the reception. The Front desk itself is very long and the Reception staff are very friendly and obliging and speak excellent english. Our room was situated near the pool, but not too close as to be disturbed. The room was very clean and the linen was fresh. The bathroom was tidy but needed some attention. ie the mastic around the bath needs renewing and the tile grouting needs cleaning, that said, the rest of the room is very spacious with plenty of closet and draw space.
The Restaurant is located centrally and is very clean and the staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.Any request you make is dealt with quickly and willingly and, again, the all speak very good english.
The food is quite appetising and well presented,Buffet style, although it did get repetitve for a two week stay, none the less, it was of a very good standard.
The Animation team are excellent. During the day, around the pool, the constantly tried to involve the guests in all activities and in most cases succeeded and everyone who participated i feel sure, enjoyed themselves, including my family and myself.
The evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss but mostly quite enjoyable.
The resort is idealy situated right on the Sinnai Peninsula, the beach a mere 2 minute walk from the pool. Crystal clear water where you could walk out 2oo yards with the water not passing above your knees and fish swimming around your feet.
A jetty extends out into the bay about 500 yards where the water is very much deeper yet still very clear. A perfect spot for snorkelling, of which we participated in every day. The views of the reef below and the fish swimming past our faces as we swam amongst them was something i shall always take away with me.
All in all this was a wonderful place to stay, the staff and management were superb and we will definately be returning as we made so many friends amongst them all.

On arrival to the Conrad we were very impressed and greeted by the staff who took great time to explain everything to us then take us to our room. Travelling with children is always very tiring so on arrival to our room it definately gave us the WOW factor except for my daughter having to sleep on a camp bed which was reported to The First Choice rep who infact did nothing. It was down to the hotel staff to fix this and so they did. We could not fault the food either as everyone was catered for and even on request they would make food if there wasnt something you liked or wanted. The entertainment team were excellent providing something to do (if you so wished)from morning til night. I'm sorry but if anyone faults the Hotel or the entertainment they should go on a Saga Holiday and therefore they can decide what they want to do. Lets face it you are on holiday and there to enjoy yourself and be free. Mr Salama the General Manger was very approachable and after a quick chat with my husband sorted a small grievance and even sent complimentary gifts to our room just to make it even more special that he had taken the time to sort it and thats why we are going back.

The hotel staff work continuously to keep it clean, the food is good with a varied selection and the location on the beach front is ideal. It is quite a bit away from the main centres but if you want peach and quite and a relaxing holiday this is the one for you.All the staff are friendly and helpful. There is entertainment during the day and evening but is was not for me. I would prefere no entainment.I have been to the hotel twice and have just booked for a 3rd visit.

This was our third trip to Sharm, but first to the Conrad. I have to say from the start we shall not be returning to this hotel, but would happily retun to the Concorde or the Grand Azure.

The location was great and the staff are very welcoming, although every staff member carry "standards" cards which they have to learn. The card instructs them how to greet every guest and how to respond. When we were there, there were too many bosses and not enough workers.

It was noticeable that the service afforded to the Italian guests was superior than that to the Brits. Half way through the two week stay, the Brits were hived off from the main restaurant to an inferior eating area with lower quality food and far less choice than was available during the first week.

Having been to Sharm before, in our opinion it was the quality of the service that really lets this hotel down. You get what you pay for, and on this occasion we made a mistake. If you like Benidorm, you'll thrive here.

The minute you walk into the Conrad at Sharm el Sheikh you feel at home in the luxurious surroundings.
The reception staff are friendly and efficient, and you are soon on your way to your room.
Whatever grade room you have, they are, like the rest of the hotel, immaculate, and kept that way throughout your stay. If you need anything at all in your room, the staff as always are pleased to help.
As you walk around the hotel, you are always aware of it's cleanliness, and the friendliness of every member of staff from Management to cleaners and gardeners.
The gardends and pool area are kept to the same exacting standards as the hotel itself, and again the groundsmen and pool attendants are always there to help. If there is a shortage of sun loungers, they seem to pull them from nowhere and you are sorted in minutes.
The beach and sea are always clean and tidy, and the beach bars are friendly relaxing places and you soon get to know the staff.
The Jetty into the sea, and your entrance to thr Coral is always manned with a lifeguard, and safety of the holidatymaker and the Coral is of prime importance to them.
The retraunt is clean welcoming and as always staff friendly and efficient. You are soon seated at a clean table, and your drinks brought to you without hesitation.
The food does tend to be repetative, but is always of excelent quality and enough choice to alow you to vary your meals throughout. The staff really get into the Theme Nights and the whole exprience is enjoyable for all. There are specialist dishes that are cooked at the tables fresh and to the highest quality.
There is very little entertainment, and it is often quite confusing as to where and when it will take place, however in summer the Panorama Bar is the venue, and everyone has a good time.
In summary, the hotel offers a friendly secure holiday for families and couples alike with the friendliest of staff enjoying themselves as much as the holidaymaker.
