I think it was mint the hotels food was wicked the entertainment was very good the 4 swimming pools were the best part about it.

One was a indoor pool but that one was not very big but that dose not matter because one of them had a pool side bar and it had 2 water slides i no 2 dose no sound like much but they are big it had mini moter bikes for the kids and mopeds for the adults and a zip wire coming from the water slide tower to the beech and a kids club and aquatis dive center the weather was fine but it was to hot!!!

But in the end it was fantistic !!!!!!

Just arrived back from the HV and I must say it was fantastic. On arrival you book in and they give you stickers to put on your luggage with your room no's on, your luggage is then delivered to your room for you.We didn't have any hassle from the bus drivers about tipping him for unloading the cases.

We had a swim up room this was amazing, your own private sun terrace with two sun beds (our room attendant brought us another bed as we were 3)only the people staying in the swim up rooms are allowed to use the pool so it's lovely and peaceful.

You don't really need to take beach towels as you can have clean beac/pool towels each day.

The room itself is very large, the walkin wardrobe very spacious with bathrobes provided. The bathroom is also very large in 3 separate sections, sink area with complimentry toiletries, the wet room(you can't call it a shower it's too big)and the toilet.

The hotel is very clean the staff are contantly cleaning all the areas and the gardens.

The food was very good in the main buffet, they have a different theme every night and the waiters dress up accordingly there is always plenty of choice in the food, and the waiters are very quick to clear your plates away for you.We visited the al a carte restaurants, they were all good although the service was very slow in the medeterrano they took 20 mins to give us the menu.

The entertainment was good lots going on in the day which we did not see much off as we did stay mainly by our swim up pool. The evening shows were good although mostly in the same theme. The staff worked hard at these shows, there were 5 main entertainers Nick, Scott, James,Tash and another girl. (James left same day as us to go to HV Turkey and Nick is going to the Coral Sea resort). The one main thing I felt let the evening entertainment down was the lack of comfortable seating. The entertainment is hel in the outside ampitheatre which has great big stone steps, they do put some large cushions out for you to sit on and lots of people take the mattreses off the sun beds to sit on but it's not as good as having proper seating.

The location of the hotel is quiet, outside to both the right and left there is a small shopping area (macdonalds to the right if you need it) but apart from these there is nothing else.

The day before depature you are invited to a departure meeting in the view bar where the inform you of your pick up time and what coach you are on. They also give you stickers to again put on your luggage which you then leave outside your room 1 hr previous to room check out and your luggage is collected and stored in the correct collection point for your coach. As we had an evening flight we kept our room later 5pm this cost us

This was our 5th time in Egypt, and we stayed the holiday village, kids loved it, it was a very nice hotel, our room was massive and so was the en suite, the food was nice, we ate at the buffet restaurant breakfast and dinner times, we had afternoon teas and chips, pizza, chicken and burger for lunch everyday, and we also ate a the Mediterranean & chinese restaurant. The hotel itself had its own sandy beach where we went everyday, but the snorkeling wasn't very good, you have to swim quite far to be able to see more fishes. We booked a speed boat ride which took us to the middle of the sea and the snorkeling was good there, we also booked the quad bike which was a great experience, and a water park which was a great day out, the staff are friendly, and we meet our good old friend (Mahamied) who use to work at Hilton sharks bay, he serve us drinks everyday & everynight. The Entertainment was fantastic, live shows, music and game shows everynight, and activities & quizzes everyday.

We has a brilliant holiday, We will go somewhere else but this was a very nice hotel.

We will go back to holiday village again.

Excellent food in a la carte restaurant, but it is let down by The Sari and Mediterranean restauerant by serving part cooked chicken. Good meals in Bamboo.

Friendly staff and excellent room attendant. Gave entertainment a three because its not my thing, others would easily give it a five.

Bit of a cheek on arrival when you get the transfer driver wanting a

Whilst it is unlikely that I would stay at this hotel again, thats not to say thats its a bad place to stay. On the contrary, HV was clean with lots to do as I had expected from all the reviews and the only reason I wouldnt stay here again is because the food really was very average, the a la carte rstaurants in particular which could even be described as poor. The staff are very helpful and couldnt do enough for you, although the holiday reps are more interested in what trips they can sell you, all of which you can find cheaper with local tour operators.

Although its only 15 mins from the airport you need a taxi to get to the hustl n bustle of Naama Bay. We had a Select room with a DVD player, but the hotel only has 15 films so it didnt get much use.

I spent 2 weeks at the HV from November 29th.I chose the hotel mainly because of the entertainment but everything about the hotel was good. The flight out of Gatwick only took 4 hours 48 minutes and was cramped even though I was in row 1.

The airport was quiet on arrival and we were soon on our way to the hotel.Check in was fine ans we were allocated room 110 in block 10 which is nearest to reception. It was huge and had a childrens den which I thought was very dismal,no childrens decorations and very dark as the ceiling was covered in green netting.

The top bunk was very high and children could bump their heads if not careful. The bed was huge 6foot6ins square! The mattresses are like rocks which suited me fine but some may find them too hard.We were on a ground floor overlooking the "quiet"pool.(more about that later)with a large terrace.

The bathroom was badly finished with a small shower that trickled water out.The sink taps were loose and the lamp shade had a burn in it because the bulb was too near the material which was dark beige hessian.

This made the room very dim although there was 2 spotlights above the bed which were fine if you wanted to read. There are 2 rugs on the floor but these are lethal and I moved ours so we wouldnt slip on them.
The grounds are amazing considering the hotel has only been open 6months.

We always spoke to the gardeners and praised their efforts.I am sure this was appreciated by them. The main restaurant is quite large with a smoking section. We tipped the waiter on day one and our table was reserved for us every day even though there were always plenty of vacant tables.

The food was fine and there is plenty of choice.
I ate sea bass and vegatables every day!My husband is a big meat eater and he always found the meals good.We used the 3 al-a-carte restaurants and I liked the chinese best.I would have liked to have tried the sea food one but as it was a bit windy down on the beach and this is open air we gave it a miss.

The main pool is massive with plenty of sunbeds and this is where we spent most of our time, just to the side of the ampitheatre overlooking the beach. There was pool activities for children and adults but the water was freezing!.There was also a daily quiz.

We had thought about using the quiet pool but it was very noisy. This was because the water was heated and some of the activities took place here. One day when we went the pool was full of children(no problem)but the parents had glasses of beer in there hands in the water and were shouting at each other.

There was also a game of football going on around the sunbeds between the men and the pool boys. This was where most of the Russians hung out so we avoided it as we prefered the terrace and beach. The sunbeds on the beach are double and are on ropes so you are suspended.

They have a thatched roof and it really is paradise down there. The jetty is lohg and you still have a way to swim to reach the coral and the fish.We used the beach for the first week but the lad in the beach bar decided to play rap music at a loud volume.I couldnt believe my ears when I heard the lyrics to an Emimen track.Totally obscene,so I went to complain to a waiter who seemed to be in charge. He apologised and said he didnt understand the words!I said we didnt come to the Red Sea to listen to his choice of music.I think he got the message as the music remained off,for that day at least.Just after I had complained a man and his son came over to me and said it had been played before and people had complained and he just put it on the next day.I complained to the reception and they asked me to write a statement.

The hotel is on the flightpath of flights taking off and when the old Russian 4 engined jets come over you want to run for cover!I enjoy plane watching but some will find this a annoying especially at 6am when they start.

After 5 nights I was sick of the shower and I asked for a room with a bath which they obliged and we were given room 203 in block 6.This was near the shallow end of the pool and had a lovely view of the sea,but thankfully a bath.It also had a childrens den which was much brighter than the first room.We got the minibar emptied in both rooms but were still asked for 75LE on checkout which we didnt pay.
I was advised by Scott, one of the reps to go to the pharmacy jusy outside the HV as I needed eye ointment and was charged 85LE.

I knew I was being ripped off but was in agony so just paid it.The next day I went across the road and turned left and about 50yards away is Shams Pharmacy.I showed him the ointment and asked him how much would cost and he told me 20LE,so AVOID the pharmacy just outside.

There are 5 bars around the hotel and on an evening the theatre puts on shows. The team do an excellent job and I enjoyed the shows.Sharlie Jarvis is one of the best singers I have heard and I hope she goes on to better things.

There are films on an evening in the ampitheatre and there is also a lovely quiet adult only bar overlooking the sea.
There were lots of families with small children but they were lovely and nearly everyone we made friends with had children. There was only a couple of lads about 7years old who ran around the theatre shouting when the shows were on.

That was the parents fault for not controlling them. The entertainment team said they were not allowed to tell them to sit down. Its only for 1 hour and as the kids have plenty of things to do from morning till night I think they should be allowed to tell the parents to control their children when the shows are on.They certainly do this in Suncentres.

There were a group of 50 travel agent came in to assess the hotel and they were "lively" at times! At least we out numbered the Russians who seemed to get less in numbers as Christmas got nearer. There are 3 Russian travel companies and 2 Polish ones using the HV.This may be during the winter months only.

The ones we met were fine and there was only 1 family from hell and yes they were British.THey were a party of 8 from Manchester and after shouting and using foul language in the pool, one of them urinating outside the thatre door in full view of children and addressing the waiters by a racist term they were "spoken"too.

The reps were all lovely and so were the action team. The entertainment team also were lovely. They all were very friendly and made time to speak to you.

Finally the staff are the best I have known anywhere and they help make your holiday,From the cleaners to the management they are all fabulous. We even got took to the Conrad hotel by Mr Hassan, the resaurant mangers secretary,Nadine.

It was lovely to visit but the only member of staff I saw was Natalie who was off to the Ritz Carlton the next day to work.It would be unfair to compare hotels but although the snorkling at the Conrad is amazing and the hotel is well established, the HV has a lot of staff who worked there previously and it can only get better.

I am hoping to go back in March/April.

The HV is a lovely hotel with some excellent facilites, the grounds are well maintained and lush. The rooms are kept clean and so are the communal areas. The buffet restaurant was okay, the reason i say okay is that it would suit people with hearthy appetites who eat anything! It did not cater well for vegetarians nor people with allergies...only vegetarian signs were displayed by food. The one thing which spoiled the holiday for me and my family was the fact i we found the male staff far too attentive to the female members of our party.

Arrived at H.V late at night on 27th after a straight forward journey with no hold-ups from Birmingham.

First impression was very good. We had a swim-up room which would have been absolutly wonderful if the water had not been so cold although we made good use our own sun terrace. I'm sure in summer you would get full benefit of these rooms.

New years eve was amazing with a VERY large bedioun tent set up on the beach, all the waiters and bar staff were dressed as pharoahs. They went all out to make sure everyone was attended to. The entertainment was good and we never heard any negative coments about the evening at all during our stay.

The hotel staff are very friendly all the time, they can't do enough for you. The bar staff are great, Amira in the foyer bar is a very funny fella. The whole place is constantly being cleaned. As we walked back to our room after the new years eve party (1a.m) they were cleaning the pool, not that it ever looked as if it needed doing.

You get aeroplanes passing over the hotel but its not a problem.

The first choice entertainment team give it their all, although it is more entertaining in a group after a few (same as at home). The first choice reps are a different story. All they want is your money. We booked 2 trips, the first To St Catherines, they failed to inform us that it would be VERY VERY cold (we had to buy jackets). Also it was about 7 hours before we got the (included in the price) meal.

They was'nt really interested when we got back and told them, just shrugged their shoulders.

The second was a trip to Petra, they were to tell us the early morning departure time by leaving a note at our room. At 10a.m the day before, we went to ask them what time, they said we'll leave you a note later. At 7p.m we had to go and ask them again and they still did'nt no and had to make a phone call. They were a bit more eager as they took our
