This hotel is spotless! The cleaning staff work tirelessly to ensure absolute cleanliness. From the maids who tidy the rooms to the guy who cleans the pool....excellent.

The food was great too. As a big meat eater I was very impressed & absolutely satisfied. A wide variety of choice could be found to suit even the fussiest of diners. Our kids loved the childrens section of the buffet, helping themselves to their food made them feel very independent & grown up.

Although perched at the top of the so called 'Cardiac Hill' this hotel has wonderful views of the cove below & even my daughter who's nearly 3 managed the walk to & from the beach at least 8 times during our fortnight stay, it's good exercise anyway!

The staff are a fantastic, they all speak good English & are very helpful, they all enjoy a bit of fun too, especially the barmen & waiters who often find themselves 'on stage' joining in with the evening entertainment.

As for the entertainment. At 11am every day around the pool the fun commences with Supersplash. Water aerobics followed by the giant whirlpool where all the guests join hands in the pool & rotate clockwise creating a giant vortex in the middle before releasing hands and floating away at some pace around to the side of the pool. A great laugh & a real must.
The games continue until late afternoon with a variety of quizzes & pool based sports & games.
In the evening the fun starts around 8.15pm with dancing & games for the kids, our two girls loved this part & learned some new dance moves from Crazy Kate, Super Suzie, Cheeky Dee & 'Avin It Al just to name a few. These are the most energetic holiday reps I've ever seen, they were all brilliant.
Then later on the cabaret begins with some really talented acts, from singers to dancers, even an interactive TV game show & of course the reps show (very good entertainment.

A final mention must go to the kids club reps who kept our 2 girls entertained almost every morning for 2 weeks, especially Sue, Nat & Mel in the creche, our youngest loved her time with them so much.

We will definately return to this hotel.

Visited the hotel last year and liked it so we came back again this year. Got on the coach from the airport and surprise surprise - there was no rep. Checked-in at the hotel and we got more or less the same room as last year (203, we got 205 last year. A nice view over the hotels gardens.

The pool is of a decent size but when theres lots of airbeds in, it does get very crowded. You need to be up early for sunbeds - We went down one morning at 8.15 and there were only 4 available beds around the whole pool.

The poolside entertainment was good, although I don't think some of the reps needed a mic(there mouths were big enough). The evening entertainment was average, not the worst ive seen but by no means the best and the Rep show is just dire. The best entertainment in the resort is at Vincents Bar (across the otherside of the beach).

Food is nice, although it does get a bit sameish and the drinks in the hotel are very very overpriced.

The reception area is comfortable and the staff are friendly - plenty of chairs and they have daily newspapers available (though i don't see why people want to see whats happening back at home while they are on holiday) It does get very warm though, especially when waiting to be picked up to go home, its much cooler to sit down the far end by the pool tables if you are going to be waiting for a long time.

Rooms aren't massive but are still comfortable, with air-con and TV, though its at the discretion of the receptionist what goes on Channel 3, it was normally Cartoon Network but we did have football and cricket on a few times.

Trips were very expensive.

The hotel was very good

Shame about Thomson, who to be honest couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery:

Coming home, we were told to be outside '20 minutes' before our scheduled pick-up time, so at 4 o clock everyone went outside with their cases - about 30 or 40 people altogether. At about 4.30 (10 minutes late) a bus arrived, we started getting on and loading luggage on, when the driver closed the luggage bay doors and got on and we thought he was driving off, leaving everyone behind. Another coach had turned up and both were on the small car park, so the driver of the other bus had to marshal us around the small car park while we did a 3-point turn. We nearly demolished the shop and then nearly reversed over a 10 foot drop. After this little adventure we continued loading and we were soon on our way(at about 4.45, 25 minutes late. There was no rep on the bus, so people coudve been split from the rest of their party, missed the bus, etc.
We arrived at the airport and a rep climbed on and started talking and recieved a large cheer from most of the coach.

This was very bad on Thomson's part, there was a risk of parties getting split up/children being seperated from parents

Just back and settled so I thought I'd pen this whilst everything is fresh in my mind.

The Hotel itself was very clean and the staff did what they could to help. You will find a few English/good english speaking staff and that helps.
The room was small but adequate, we were only in there to bed down so to speak so it is not an issue. Linen and cleaning every day except a Sunday for us.
The food was spot on, we only went for a week but a differnet menu every night. There were pleny of people taking out food for the day and I hate to say it, but we followed suit with cakes and fruit for our kids. It seemed to be the norm. Even down to filling up bottles for the kids with juice etc.
Good combination of kids meals and adult kept the variety up for our kids, they loved Brekafast/Tea time.
The pool is a little small and got little crowded but again our kids did not complain, they were in and out all day and loved it.
There is a playpark, soft play area and kids club. Check out the Lizzards at the sand pit/playpark. Our kids would sit for hours trying to catch them with little jam packs and they did with fishing nets from the swap box. By the kids club there is a swap box full of toys etc that people did not want to take home. Great Idea, others should follow.

The entertainment was decent enough and the first few hours are for the kids then from 10-12 it's adult orientated.

!!!! The bar is really expensive!!!!!
We were in Majorca in May and the prices here were nearly double!!! We go away every year and noticed that this little neck of the woods in Ibiza is pricey! Check out the handbag drink fillers....follow suit with a your Vodka's or cans of beer ;)
There is also an airpump for your inflatables by the baby pool. The other thing to note is the towel hire. 10 euros for a towel and you swap it as often as you like. We did this and never had to dirty wash any of our beach towels. 10 euro deposit per towel and you get it back when you hand them in!

The Hotel itself is a bit of pain due to the location. It only takes 2 mins to get to the Beach.......down a big slope!! It's quite hard going for kids and older people, really is steep! Once at the beach you then have to go uphill to get to the square, again v steep! Repeat in reverse to get back to the Hotel. Nothing by way of distance but it is the steepest slope we have encountered on any hols!!
For all you shppers forget it, this is not for you. 5-6 little shops for your nik naks and 2 English bars
! The supermarkets are hugely different in price with the cheapset being the one to your immediate left after you get up the hill from the beach. Cheapset tobacco shop was the one closest to Del Boys pub.
You may notice the water slides at the near by el Greco Hotel, our boys used this a couple of times with no probem at all.
The Beqch itself is spotelss and you can walk out 100 yds + before it gets to deep. Little fish swimming round you...take a little bread down!

All in all we loved the holiday as the kids played all day and we actually got some serious sun tan this time!!
We would go back but at a lter date as we like to try new places.
This is as honest as I can be, no real negatives at all other then the hilly bits. You would not be disspaointed by going to the Presidente!!
Sorry the review is all over the place, I'll keep to the day job and leave serious writing for the pro's!

The other reviews are genuinely harsh where not positive!
Well disgruntled at having to hire a fridge!!! Nice to have a cold beer on the balcony without the extra expense of fridge hire!!

This is a nice hotel but being a super family hotel actualy spoilt the holiday a bit.

We just didnt realise what super family accommodation was. EG 11:00 supersplash oh god get off your sunbeds you're not here to sunbathe and relax what do you think this is a holiday. 14:00 get out of the pool we want it so we can get everyone frustrated by playing some rubbish game of water polo or water basketball.

Crabby,no its crazy Kate is awful,if something doesnt go her way watch out because she gets one on her,she thinks she runs the entertainment section on her own forgeting all the other reps are there.

Prices at the hotel are a bit expensive but hire a fridge and take your own down at night or actually go out of the hotel and see beautiful portinatx the restaurante at the front at the bottom of the hill is a great place to sit and have a drink watching the sunset as is the Jardin del Mar across the other side of the beach.

The cheapest supermarket is roses the other side of delboys and boozy buys is good for alchohol and tobacco
hire a car and see the island its a great place to see go to Escana,Santa Eualalia and Ibiza town they are must see places to go.

I love Ibiza and Portinatx but wouldnt go to the Presidente again but if you like that sought of holiday (Butlins in Ibiza) then it may be for you.

Been going to Ibiza for the last 6 years and this was one of the better hotels that we have stayed at.

It is spotlessly clean and the staff work extremely hard to keep it that way.The location of the hotel provides stunning views, but being at the top of a steep hill does not make it suitable for the less mobile, we also winessed a young family with two young kids struggling to get back up the hill after a day on the beach, with all the stuff you have to carry with young kids.

Down side to the hotel is that the snacks at the pool bar and all drinks are VERY expensive and did not provide value for money. Entertainment is good but the downside of it is a rep called Kate who is a pain in the butt if you do not fancy joining in.

Overall a very good holiday, but for value for money not all that clever. It works out cheaper to go all inclusive in the long run. It's dearer as an initial outlay but with the cost of snacks and drinks for both us and the kids it certainly works out cheaper in the end.

We would come back, but would ensure we took more ready cash next time as we didn't expect to spend as much as we did.

We like to go somewhere different each year no matter how good a time we have had. We rated our holiday at the Victoria Playa, Menorca, last year as excellent so were keen to find another equally good venue this time around.

I have to say that the Presidente did not disappoint, it is situated in an attractive location overlooking the beautiful bay. As for the so called

I travelled to this hotel with my husband my 16 year old daughter and 2 of grandchildren on the 20th August. We all had a fantastic time and it was the best hotel we have ever stayed in before.

The Hotel is very clean.

The food is lovely and there are fantastic views of the gorgeous bay below.

There is quite a steep hill leading to the beach but it is to be expected because the hotel is set high up so it offers lots of great views.

My daughter Gemma met loads of people her age and had a great time I hardy ever saw her she would just go off and do her own thing so this hotel is great for teenagers and also kids as there is a kids club.

The hotel staff well what can I say they were very helpful and would always greet you a warm hello and a smile they all speak well English and are great.

The reps were amazing and made our holiday great. They made sure everyone was happy and was always full of life. They work very hard through the day and night putting on some great activities and shows which you can win prizes. We won a tshirt which my daughter had to do the t shirt dance on stage with crazy Kate she loved every minute of it. we all learnt some fantastic dances including star trekking, the finger song and Rolf Harris song.

We have just returned from a Fantastic Holiday at the Presidente. The hotel was spotless the staff polite and friendly at all times and the food was wonderful. The hotel provided some lovely additional touches such as Kids Cocktails one evening, local sherry and champagne on others all free of charge. The Thomson reps work really hard at this hotel to ensure everyone has a great time - if you want to join in or just watch there is something for everyone.Krazy Kate and Super Suzi get a special mention as they have limitless energy and never ending smiles they really 'make' the holiday.

I only have one negetive thing to say about this hotel and that is to echo another reviewers comments on the prices of drinks and ice creams. As they have somewhat a captive audience (unless like me you have a husband willing to run up and down the hill a few times a day!!) they seem to get away with over charging on these things which was a shame and given the quantity you purchase as a family perhaps a little unfair.

Having said that we have already tried to book another week for this year we all enjoyed it so much.

The first thing to say about this hotel is how clean it is. The rooms are basic but very comfortable. We had two rooms with inter-connecting doors which gave us ample room for the 6 of us.The air conditioning is the best we have experienced.

The food was excellent. There is a good range of salads and meat dished to choose from. The deserts were also very good. The restaurant was very clean and well air conditioned. Breakfast you have a choice of continental, or traditional English. You can also just have cereal or fruit if you prefer. The drinks in the restaurant during evening meals are reasonably priced compared to some hotels.

The Hotel is located at the top of a hill. Before reading about it I was a little apprehensive regarding the hill, but it is not that bad at all. For people of average fitness it is 2-3 minute walk. If you do have some difficulty walking it could be a bit of an issue.

Once you get to the beach it is fantastic. It is very clean and tidy. The water is very clean and you can see various fish that just swim around you. The only downside is that

We have recently returned home from a week at the Presidente and were extremely satisfied with all aspects of the stay.

Our room was very clean and comfortable with clean towels provided every day and sheets changed once a week. The food was exceptionally good, plenty of choice and variety.

The hotel is situated on the opposite side of the island from the notorious nightlife, which may not suit some young people but suited us as we have grown out of sex drugs and rock and roll, well drugs and rock and roll at any rate!

Past reviewers seem not to have mentioned the picturesque and friendly beachfront bars and restaurants which are a worthwhile reward for the trek up and down the hill to the hotel.

The Jardin de Mar deserves a special mention for the excellent food and equally impressive sunsets which can be enjoyed while dining from a veranda overlooking the sea.

Staff were all friendly and helpful and a special mention has to go to 'Crazy' Kate who excelled as a childrens and adults entertainer alike.

Despite the review of one of your more critical contributors, we fail to recognise the hotel so critically described.

We can only praise all aspects of the hotel and our holiday there.
